Karen Reid’s fate is now in the hands of a Massachusetts ju apprentice.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys held a sober closing argument on Friday as they ended an eight-week criminal case in the second murder trial on the death of Boston police officer boyfriend John O’Keefe.

The judge rejected the ju appellant for deliberation at about 2:40pm.

“Do you have any questions?” Alan Jackson, one of Reed’s lawyers, asked them in a final message. If their confidence in the case regarding the reading is not “unshakable,” he said the ju-describer must be acquitted if they leave no room for doubt.

Prosecutor Hank Brennan leaned against the phone and vehicle evidence he presented in his last few words and told the ju judge that “data doesn’t lie.” He added: “The timeline in this case is beyond controversy.”

Reed, 45, has been accused of hitting O’Keefe for dying in the snow on the grass of a friend’s house after the couple became arguing on the heavy drinking night in January 2022.

The defense said Reid dropped O’Keefe off at the home of his friend and fellow Boston police officer Brian Albert, and never saw him again. Police allegedly biased reading from the start and did not investigate any evidence suggesting that other potential suspects were responsible for O’Keefe’s death.

Currently, the 12-person panel will review the evidence presented by lawyers and witness testimony over the past eight weeks. They decide whether the reading is guilty of three charges. It involves killing a second degree, carnal death while drunk, and leaving the scene of the collision leading to death.

The deliberation comes nearly a year when ju judges were unable to rule on the charges against her at Reed’s first trial, resulting in unfair conduct. Since then, the incident has garnered conspiracies from true crime fans around the country, and Read has garnered a large group of supporters who held demonstrations to profess her innocence.

The judge rejected the ju appellant for deliberation at about 2:40pm.

The judge began reading the ju judge’s instructions around 1:30pm, explaining the definition of reasonable doubt and saying “all possible doubts must not be exceeded.”

She also explained that the court empireed 18 ju apprentices at the start of the case, but only 12 people were needed for deliberation. She said court officials would randomly select 12 ju judges. The other six will be alternatives.

Prosecutors spent much of the closing discussion outlined Reid’s actions when they realized that O’Keefe had not returned home on January 29, 2022.

Less than 30 minutes after she got home, she left O’Keefe with a voicemail message saying, “No one knows where you are,” Brennan told the ju decree.

The next morning, he said, “I was desperate.” The read was called Jennifer McCabe, one of O’Keefe’s friends and step-sister to Brian Albert, and told her that she had left O’Keefe at the bar the night before, Brennan said. McCabe said he read that he had seen her car outside Albert House the night before, according to previous testimony in the incident.

Brennan then said that the reading called out Kelly Roberts, another of O’Keefe’s friends. This time he insisted, and said that all he had read was that she thought O’Keefe had been “attacked by a plough.”

Brennan suggested that the readings were beginning to cover her tracks at the moment.

“What is causing this extraordinary coercion?” he asked.

He then told the ju judge that he had not proven how the collision between the reader’s car and O’Keefe occurred. However, the data shows that “it happened.”

Brennan concluded his final argument by displaying a photo of O’Keefe to the ju apprentice.

Prosecutor Hank Brennan continued to focus on the data presented in the case early in his final discussion.

The first point of the data, he states: Her blood alcohol level was “approximately 2-3 times the legal limit.”

Another point: Read’s SUV moved 87 feet inverted when O’Keefe’s phone was last locked, according to data from both machines. O’Keefe’s location data lay all night near the flag post outside Albert’s house, and his battery showed a sudden drop in temperature, Brennan said.

He then showed the ju judge an interview clip of the reading material. There, she admits that O’Keefe might have tried to flag her while she was driving, and that she was trying to get that response.

“She didn’t think he was fatally wounded, but she knew he had hit him,” Brennan said.

Brennan laid out the federal incident in three sentences at the beginning of his final argument: “She was drunk. She hit him. And she let him die.”

He read to the ju judges and told him that O’Keefe had a “toxic relationship” and asked him to remember O’Keefe’s testimony from Nie about the family’s vacation in Alba. In the discord, he says that O’Keefe left to be alone and knocked on his door to “have the last word.”

Brennan said he “mirrored” what happened on January 29, 2022.

“The timeline in this case is beyond controversy,” he told the ju referee. “Data is data.”

Defence counsel Alan Jackson begged the ju judge to see the investigators committed in O’Keefe’s case – not treating Albert’s house like a crime scene, including not securing scenes around O’Keefe’s body, nor secured ring cameras for his neighbors across the street.

He reread the text in the thread sent by Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Proctor.

When one of Proctor’s friends asked, “Are homeowners going to catch a lot of shit?” the investigator replied: “No, he’s a Boston cop too.”

Jackson reminded the ju deputies of surveillance video showing Albert “running through the hallway” of the Massachusetts Canton Police Department early on January 29, 2022, before O’Keefe’s body was discovered.

Alberts also sent his dog Chloe to a Vermont farm shortly after O’Keefe’s body was found, Jackson said. The defense suggests that the dog caused a cut in O’Keefe’s arm.

“Who will remove the family pets?” Jackson asked. “Unless they have something to hide.”

“Do you have any questions?” he asked the ju umpire and later said, “Don’t let the Federation run this.”

Jackson walked the ju judges through defence cases from the start, hours before O’Keefe’s death. He pointed out a video showing Albert and another man, Brian Higgins.

Higgins read, “Umm… um… umm… umm,” Jackson said, after meeting O’Keefe and her. Jackson argued that the play’s fight was a practice of attack after O’Keefe.

He said, “annoyed” she hadn’t yet returned home, so Jackson proposed that she arrived home at 12:36am, when she left the increasingly angry voicemail.

He then pointed out forensic evidence and said, “Science is not on his side.”

“No one testified that O’Keefe was attacked by a car, not a single medical expert,” Jackson told the ju umpire, adding that there was no evidence of the impact scene in O’Keefe’s body.

Prosecutors suggest that O’Keefe’s right arm reduction is caused by the broken taillights of Read. However, Jackson wondered how O’Keefe could have received 36 cuts from the taillights if he had only nine punk holes in his sweatshirt.

“There is no evidence,” he repeated, O’Keefe was attacked by the car. “How reasonable is there any doubt?”

“There were no conflicts, there were no conflicts,” Jackson told the ju-degree at the beginning of the discussion, then began to explain how evidence from the case should be considered.

He said they were asked to “glare at injustice” and that it was “the last line of defense between the innocent woman and the system that tried to destroy her.”

If the ju-degrees believed in a federal lawsuit against a true reading “probably” or “probably” then Jackson said he should be acquitted of the reading. To read, he said he needs to have a “unwavering” level of confidence in the prosecutor’s case.

The judge said he intends to hand over the reading case to the ju apprentice by the end of Friday day.

“I’ve finished the fee and don’t want to send it home over the weekend,” Kanon said of giving instructions to the ju referee. “After they’ve been waiting so long, that’s not fair.”

Cannone grants defense and prosecution every 1 hour and 15 minutes to present a closing argument.

After an afternoon lunch break, the judge reads the jury’s instructions. She said she asked the judges to stay until 5pm or 5:30pm for deliberation.

On a May night in 1337, when a group of men approached a priest named John Forde, the sun was set on busy London Street. They surrounded him in front of a church near the old St. Paul’s Cathedral, stabbed him in the neck and stomach, then fled.

Witnesses identified his murderer, but only one assailant went to prison. And Ella Fitzpain, a wealthy and powerful nobleman who could have ordered a brave and shocking hit, was not brought to trial, according to historical records explaining the case.

Almost 700 years later, new details emerged about the events leading up to the brutal crime and the nobility behind it. Her criminal transaction included theft and fear tor, as well as the murder of Forde, who was also her ex-love.

According to recently discovered documents, Forde (his name appeared in the record as “John de Forde” as “John de Forde”) could have been part of a crime gang led by Fitzpayne. The group took away a nearby controlled monastery that controlled France and used England’s worsening relationship with France to force the church, researchers reported in a study published at the Criminal Law Forum on June 6.

But the whimsical priest may have betrayed Fitzpain to his religious superior. The Archbishop of Canterbury wrote in 1332 that a new report also linked to Forde’s murder. In the letter, the Archbishop condemned Fitzpain, accusing him of committing serial adultery “single, single, married, and even with a clergyman on holy orders.”

The Archbishop’s letter appointed one of the many paramers of Fitzpain. Forde was the president of a parish church in the village of the Fitzpaine family’s property in Dorset. This terrible accusation led the church to assign Fitzpain to a humiliating public penance. According to Dr Manuel Eisner, a professor at the University of Cambridge in the UK and director of the Crime Institute, she assassinated her revenge several years later and forced her to be revenge.

The Medieval Murder Map Project collects murders and other sudden or suspicious deaths in 14th century London, Oxford and York, including the location of the murder of priest John Forde.

This 688 murder emailed Dr. Hanna Skoda, an associate professor of medieval history at St. John’s College at Oxford University in the UK, “provides us with further evidence of clergy entanglement in secular issues and the very active role of women in managing women’s relationships and relationships.”

“In this case, the event was dragged out for a very long time, demanding grenades and revenge, and emotionally active,” said Skoda, who was not involved in the research.

According to Eisner, new clues on Forde’s murders provide a window into the dynamics of medieval revenge killings and how they were in displays of power in honorable public spaces.

Eisner is the coctor and project leader of Medieval Murder Maps, an interactive digital resource that collects murders and other sudden or suspicious deaths in 14th century London, Oxford and York. The project, launched by Cambridge in 2018, translates reports from records written by a Latin medieval coroner who focuses on crime details and motives, based on the deliberations of local ju apprentices. The ju judge listens to the witness and examines the evidence before naming the suspect.

In the case of Forde’s murder, coroner Roll said Fitzpain and Forde had argued and persuaded four men, her brother, two servants and a pastor, to kill him. On that fateful night, his accomplice attacked as the pastor approached Forde in the street and deflected him in conversation. Fitzpain’s brother slit his throat, and the servant stabbed Forde in the belly. One of the attackers, a servant named Hugh Corne, was indicted in the case and was imprisoned in Newgate in 1342.

Coroner Roll discovers that Fitzpain persuades four men, her brother, two servants and a pastor, and kills Forde after arguing with the priest.

“I was initially fascinated by the texts on the coroner’s records,” Eisner told CNN via email, describing the event as “a dreamy scene that can be seen for hundreds of years.” This report made Eisner want to learn more.

“I would like to know what the members of the ju umpire discussed,” he said. “I wonder how and why ‘Ella’ persuades ‘Ella’ to kill the priest, and what the nature of this old argument between her and John Forde was. That’s why I started to look into this further. ”

Eisner followed the Archbishop’s letter in a 2013 paper by medieval historian and author Helen Matthews. The Archbishop’s accusations allocated severe punishments and official penance to Fitzpain, including donating large sums of money to the poor, refraining from wearing gold or precious gems, walking the length of Salisbury Cathedral towards the altar, and carrying around four pounds of wax candles. She was ordered to do this so-called walk of shame for seven years.

Although she appears to have rebelled against the Archbishop and never played repentance, the humiliation “may have caused her thirst for revenge,” the study author writes.

The second clue where Eisner was unearthed was ten years older than this letter. Investigation of 1322 of Forde and Fitzpayne by the Royal Commission following complaints filed by the French Benedictine abbey near Fitzpayne Castle. The report was translated and published in 1897, but at that time it was not yet related to the murder of Forde.

According to the indictment of 1322, Fitzpain’s crew included Folde and her husband, Sir Robert, a knight of the realm – destroyed the gates and buildings at the Priory, stole about 200 sheep and lambs, 30 pigs and cows, and returned to the castle and held them for Ransom. Eisner said she was surprised that Fitzpain, her husband and Forde were mentioned in the case of the pastor’s upset turmoil during an era of political tensions with France.

“The moment was very exciting,” he said. “As a member of a group involved in a low-level war against French monasteries, I would never have expected to see these three.”

In British history, city residents were no strangers to violence. In Oxford alone, the rate of murder in the late Middle Ages was about 60-75 deaths per 100,000 people, about 50 times higher than what is currently seen in British cities. One of the Oxford records describes “a rampage scholar with bows, swords, bucklers, slings and stones.” Another mentioned the altercation that began as a tavern discussion at a tavern, then escalated into a massive street brawl that included a blade and a combat axis.

But while England was a period of violent nature during the Middle Ages, “this doesn’t mean that people didn’t care about violence,” Skoda said. “In the legal context, political context, and in the community, more broadly, people were really worried and suffering about high levels of violence.”

The Medieval Murder Map Project “provides engaging insights not only about how people carry out violence, but also how people worried about it,” Skoda said. “They were reported, investigated, charged and they were really dependent on the law.”

Fitzpain’s intertwined web of adultery, coercion and assassination also reveals that despite social constraints, some women in late medieval London still had agency.

“Ella was not the only woman she recruited men to kill to protect her reputation,” Eisner said. “We see violent events that arise from a world where upper class members are experts in violence and can be killed as a way to maintain power.”

Israeli forces warned that “everyone is on fire” after Tehran launched a retaliatory strike on Friday following Israel’s attacks on Iranian forces and nuclear targets.

Iran confirmed local time had fired “hundreds of different ballistic missiles” at Israel on Friday evening.

“Some time ago, hundreds of different ballistic missiles were launched towards the occupying territories, and the operation of a decisive response to the Zionist regime’s savage attacks began,” IRNA, an official Iranian news agency, reported.

Teams from CNN in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were able to hear the massive explosion, and Tel Aviv video showed rockets and smoke rising incoming inside the city’s skyscrapers.

Seven people were “lightly and moderately injured” after an Iranian strike struck at the border between Iranian Aviv and Israel’s Ramat Gan city, according to head of Israel’s emergency services, Eli Bin.

Images and videos released by Magen David Adom, an affiliate of the Israeli Red Cross, showed civil defense workers investigating the façades of broken cars and collapsed buildings in Central Israel.

The Iranian barrage came after Israel launched two major attacks on Iran early in the morning of local time.

The Israeli attacks, accompanied by years of threat and growing speculation, were executed without the blessings of Israel’s closest ally, the United States. The Trump administration emphasized that Israel was acting unilaterally and that Washington was “not involved.”

Iran’s retaliation on Friday evening began as a briefing of a press conference with Israeli Defence Force (IDF) officials was underway.

IDF spokesman Effie Defrin was answering questions from journalists when it was announced on speakerphone. The briefing broadcast was then shorter.

The defense system has been activated, according to a statement from the Israeli Defence Force, which directed them to search for shelters.

Oklahoman is fighting for winning the lottery jackpot, and may soon no longer have to drive to the nearest gas station.

The Oklahoma Lottery Committee confirmed that it has submitted a request to USA Today to create a digital platform for players. The committee said the decision was aimed at enhancing player engagement, improving services and protecting both efficiency and data security.

“This is a step in transforming the Oklahoma Lottery,” Abby Morgan, director of marketing and product development for the committee, said in a statement. “We’re focused on creating best-in-class digital experiences that benefit today’s players while preparing for the possibilities of tomorrow.”

Morgan added, “Investment is almost a multiple product — it’s about modernizing the way we connect with players and operate as a business.”

The committee said the initiative will allow future development of the Ilottery platform, but emphasized that it is not the main focus. The committee added that the launch of the “Ilottery Business Model” requires legislative approval.

In the short term, vendors will be responsible for improving the Oklahoma Lottery loyalty program, including how players can check tickets and scradders.

According to Lottery USA, there are currently 16 states with official digital lottery services.

The Oklahoma Digital Lottery raises concerns

Oklahoma’s responsible gambling advocates told KFOR they wanted to develop the app with the gambler in question in mind.

The Oklahoma Issues Gambling and Gaming Association reports that 6.3% of Oklahomans meet the criteria for gambling disorders, and 23.5% of Oklahomans are at risk of problematic gambling.

“These are huge numbers. And it’s one of the highest prevalences in the United States. They’re in Oklahoma,” Wiley Harwell, executive director of the association, told KFO.

Harwell also told the TV station he hopes to see features that will help gambling addiction, such as ads for the state’s responsible gambling hotline and “positive mobile health tools to reduce gambling harm.”

“We want to reach out to people to recognize that this is potentially addictive and that you know, play safely,” Harwell said.

It is set to coincide with President Donald Trump’s military parade on Saturday, June 14th, Washington, DC, but nothing has been planned in the US capital.

The one-day festival and parade celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Army on Saturdays, featuring musical performances, fireworks and more.

But outside of town, numerous rallies will oppose what critics call a snatch of Trump’s power in a movement known as “No Kings Day.” One of Ezra Levin, the organizer who co-founded the inseparable grassroots movement, said Saturday’s protest was intended to prevent Trump from putting the front and center of the patriotic celebration.

“A sight that means it looks like strength. But in Washington, no real power is being performed. It rises everywhere else,” reads the “No Kings” website. “Instead of making this birthday parade a center of gravity, we will make American stories take action that day everywhere else. We will gather together in communities across the country to reject Strongman’s politics and corruption.”

Levin explained that organizers opted out of the protest in Washington and avoided the story of them being anti-veterans. He added that the goal is “to make this about the Americans and the democracy we actually defend.”

“We chose not to feed the stories that Trump might want us to be directly rebutting him, or give him the opportunity to crack down on protesters,” he said.

Why is there a protest?

The “King” protest aims to regain American flag and American patriotism from the Republicans and to condemn what organizers have called Trump’s recent “authoritarian” actions.

“250 years ago, the Continental Army was formed to fight the king, and the Americans came out and said, “No, wait, this is not something America represents. We concentrated our strength in our hands and never came after the pillars of political democracy,” Levin said.

The Florida Sheriff warned immigration enforcement protesters that if law enforcement becomes violent against lawmakers, law enforcement “killed you and the cemetery has died.”

“If you hit one of us, you’ll go to the hospital and the jail and get bitten by one of our big, beautiful dogs we probably have here,” Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivy told a June 12 press conference.

“If you point your gun at a brick, a fire bomb, or one of our agents, we will notify your family where we will collect your body.

Comments came after a week of protests in Los Angeles and protests against immigration and customs raids as Florida warned on June 14 that Florida would become a protester ahead of a expected rally across the country that is not California. State leaders said the riots were “quickly caught between the buds.”

Comments that included death threats to violent protesters drew criticism from the ACLU in Florida. This warned the state sheriff that if excessive force is used against protesters, they will have to pay millions of dollars in damages.

“Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivy said the violent and provocative threat of “killing” protesters who exercise their First Amendment rights is highly non-American and the elected leader cannot pledge to protect their people,” the state’s ACLU chapter said in a post to social media.

As President Donald Trump took office in January and began acting on the promise of a massive deportation promise, ice and related agencies quickly escalated efforts to eliminate undocumented immigrants, urging anti-ice protests to cities around the country. In some cases, peaceful protests have turned into chaotic scenes with local law enforcement clashes with protesters accused of rocks and even Molotov cocktails.

Ivy said at a press conference that peaceful protests are “part of our democracy” and would be welcomed in his county.

“The keyword in it is peace,” he said. “If you changed it violently… you don’t want to do it in Brevard County.”

Florida passed the “anti-Riot” bill in 2021, saying peaceful protesters could face criminal charges if their actions became violent. On June 9, Gov. Ron Desantis said the state had a “very clearly drawn” line between protests and riots.

Approximately 2,000 King’s Day demonstrations are planned nationwide on June 14th. As of June 10, protests for those over 75 (including multiple single cities) are being planned in Florida, according to the Kings website.

Florida “will never become California,” officials say

At a June 12 press conference, law enforcement officials remained steady in support of federal anti-affected immigration efforts and vowed to protect ice personnel who are “harmed solely to do their job.”

“Florida will never become California,” said Florida Attorney General James Usmier.

He said if he felt threatened or threatened while the ice officer could be notified in Florida that he would provide “regular checkups and patrols” to Florida Highway Patrols.

FHP Col. Gary Howze said in the past few months the state has detained more than 2,000 undocumented immigrants.

Larry Keefe, executive director of the state’s Immigration Executive Committee, said the state will add riot response tactics to its “blueprint” for mass expulsions so that other states follow suit.

“There’s no reason why other states should not have the backs of federal law enforcement officials and their families while they’re in California or any other state,” said Keefe, a former top federal prosecutor in North Florida.

Many Americans, including President Donald Trump, celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Army on June 14th, when other Americans hit the streets in protest.

Over 1,000 communities across the country are planning a “national rebellious day of a national king” to reject what event organizers call “the corrupt authoritarian politics of the United States.” More specifically, the group, “scenes,” a Trump military parade, calls it “a display made for TV domination for his birthday.”

The “No Kings” marches, rallies and demonstrations were all intentionally organized to coincide with the Army’s “magnificent military parades and celebrations.” This is also on Trump’s 79th birthday and flag day. Executives accidentally insist that the parade will fall for Trump’s birthday.

“As this birthday parade is not a center of gravity, it will make American stories act that day everywhere else. We will gather together in communities across the country to reject Strongman’s politics and corruption.”

The “No Kings” demonstration is expected to be the biggest and most protest since Trump’s second season began, and will be warping! The protest in early April attracted as many as 1 million Americans into the streets at over 1,000 rallies.

“They opposed our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people from the streets, attacked civil rights, and slashed our services,” read a statement from the official “No Kings” event website. “The corruption is gone. It’s far away. There’s no throne. There’s no crown. There’s no king.”

A study published Friday in the JAMA Network Open Journal found that walking 100 minutes a day was associated with a 23% reduction in the risk of chronic low back pain.

“This is an important discovery because walking is a simple, low-cost, accessible activity that can be widely promoted to reduce the burden of lower back pain,” said Rayane Haddadj, a doctoral candidate for the Faculty of Public Health at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Natasha Pokobi, a postdoctoral researcher in health sciences at Macquarie University in Sydney, says that an estimated 600 million people around the world are thought to be the main causes of back pain. She was not involved in the research.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of people with chronic back pain is expected to grow to 843 million by 2050.

Still, preventing back pain is often overlooked in research and clinical practice, Pokobi added.

The results of this latest study show that physical activity may be used as a preventive measure. Pocovi said the study “suggests that there is no need to complicate exercise routines to protect yourself from chronic low back pain.”

Getting more steps is linked to lower risk of lower back pain, new research has found.

To investigate the relationship between walking and back pain prevention, the research team analyzed data from over 11,000 participants over 20 years of age of tron ​​de lag studying in Norway, or hunting.

However, walking data was only captured over a week, which may not reflect people’s patterns over a month or year, Pocovi said.

This study is also observational. This means that it can be linked, but researchers cannot say with certainty that walking has reduced the risk of lower back pain.

Not only is lower back pain the main cause of the disorder, it is also expensive. A study from April 2024 found that on average, people spend more than $30,000 on back pain-related costs in the five years after their initial diagnosis.

Easy and inexpensive changes to prevent chronic back pain can make a huge difference, Haddadj said.

The study failed to address whether walking a 100-minute straight had the same, less or the same effect as accumulating the same time in short bursts, Pokobi said.

However, in most cases, Pokobi said the amount of walking is better than anyone, unless there is a fundamental condition.

“Start with a short walking session, either by planning a particular walk or finding a small way to integrate short walks into your daily life,” she said.

Pokobi said she likes to go up the stairs instead of the elevator or walk to the coffee shop a little further from her home.

“The key is to gradually increase walking in a sustainable and enjoyable way,” she said in an email. “And more, friends, partners, or colleagues can take part in the walk and be motivated and accountable.”

In addition to dinner and drinks, you can add walking as a way to spend time with friends.

After decades of threat, Israel launched a bold attack on Iran on Friday, targeting nuclear sites, scientists and military leaders.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation was “stricken by the head of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.”

However, an international review by the US intelligence reporting community says Iran’s nuclear program is not currently weaponized. Tehran has also repeatedly insisted that he had not made any bombs.

Still, that doesn’t mean that it couldn’t be chosen or not.

Iran has been developing a nuclear program for decades, viewing it as a source of pride and sovereignty of its people. The program is intended solely for peace energy purposes and maintains plans to build additional nuclear power plants to meet domestic energy needs and free more oil for export.

Nuclear power plants need fuel called uranium, and other countries do not have the uranium that Iran currently operates without a nuclear weapons program, according to the UN Nuclear Watch Agency.

It promoted doubt that Iran was not completely transparent about its intentions. Tehran repeatedly said it would remove it if sanctions with the US were lifted, using its weapons-grade uranium stockpile as a tip for negotiations with the US.

So, what exactly is the role of uranium in nuclear weapons? And how far is Iran from weaponizing its program? This is what you need to know.

The United States began its nuclear program with Iran in 1957. At the time, the Western-friendly monarch Shah – ruled Iran and the two countries as still friends.

With support from the US, Iran began developing a nuclear program in the 1970s. However, when the Shah overthrew during the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the United States garnered its support.

Since the revolution that transformed Iran into an Islamic Republic, Western countries are worried that they could use nuclear programs to produce atomic weapons using highly enriched uranium.

Iran claims it is not trying to build nuclear weapons. It was a party to the United Nations Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has pledged to not develop bombs under it.

This is where the nuclear facility is located.

At the heart of the debate over Iran’s nuclear program is the enrichment of uranium. This is a process used to produce fuel for power plants that can be used to make nuclear bombs at higher levels.

In the early 2000s, international inspectors announced that they had found highly enriched uranium traces in Iranian plants in Natanz. Iran temporarily stopped enrichment, but resumed it in 2006, claiming it was permitted under an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN’s nuclear watchdog agency.

It urged long-standing international sanctions against Iran.

After years of negotiations, Iran and six world powers in 2015 agreed to a nuclear deal that would limit Iran’s nuclear threat in exchange for lighter sanctions.

The deal called for Iran to keep uranium enrichment levels below 3.67%, reduce its uranium enrichment levels from nearly 20%, dramatically reducing its uranium stockpile, and phased out its centrifuges and other such.

Uranium is not bomb grade until it is concentrated to 90% purity. Nuclear power plants that generate electricity use uranium, which is enriched from 3.5% to 5%.

It is unclear how close it is for Iran to actually build a nuclear bomb, but it has made great strides in producing its important ingredients: highly enriched uranium. In recent years, we have significantly reduced the time required to reach weapon grade levels. It now took about a week to produce enough for one bomb.

In 2018, Trump withdrew from Iran’s nuclear deal and launched new sanctions on the administration to undermine the economy.

Tehran said it would stop halting compliance with parts of the agreement, and began using advanced uranium enrichment and uranium stockpiling and advanced centrifuges.

All previously installed IAEA equipment for surveillance and surveillance activities have been removed.

The Biden administration then began indirect negotiations with Iran for over a year, with the aim of reviving the deal, but was destroyed in 2022.

In 2023, the IAEA said uranium particles were found at Iran’s nuclear facility, enriched at 83.7% purity (83.7% close to bomb grade levels). Stockpilings of up to 60% enriched uranium also grew to 128.3 kilograms, and were subsequently recorded at the highest levels.

And last year, the US reduced Iran’s so-called “breakout times” – the time required to produce enough fissile material for nuclear weapons – “a week or two.”

A report from the IAEA, sent to member states later last month, said Iran’s 60% purely enriched uranium shares have now grown to 408 kilograms. According to the IAEA Yard Stick, if it’s even richer, it’s enough for nine nuclear weapons.

The IAEA has long accused Iran of violating its non-proliferation obligations, but on Thursday, for the first time in nearly two decades, the board passed a resolution officially declaring Iran in violation of these obligations. Iran has committed to responding by escalating its nuclear activity.

Enrichment is the process of increasing the amount of special types of uranium used to power nuclear reactors, or much more uranium to create nuclear weapons.

Natural uranium is mainly uranium 238, about 99.3%, which is not good for electricity or bombs. Only about 0.7% is uranium 235, which is necessary to release energy.

The use of nuclear energy requires a small amount of useful uranium 235 to concentrate. To do this, the uranium is first converted to gas, then rotated at high speed in a machine called a centrifuge. These machines help to separate uranium-235 from the more common uranium-238. That’s concentration.

Uranium used in nuclear power plants is usually enriched at about 3.67%. To make a nuclear bomb, it needs to be concentrated to about 90%. Iran enriched uranium to 60% – not enough for bombs, but a big step closer to weapon-grade materials.

Centrifuges are essential for enriching uranium. The more advanced the centrifuge, the faster and more efficient it is possible to separate uranium-235 from uranium-238. Iran has spent decades improving the centrifugal field, beginning with the first generation IR-1 model in the late 1980s. Currently, it operates thousands of machines, including advanced models such as the IR-6 and IR-9.

According to the Weapon Control Association, Iran’s current centrifuge capacity could allow it to produce sufficient weapon-grade uranium for bombs within two weeks.

Israel says it is targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in its attacks.

Natanz, a facility at the heart of Iran’s nuclear ambitions, was engulfed in flames on Friday, according to social media images that have been globalized by television coverage in CNN and Iran’s provinces.

The nuclear complex, about 250 kilometers (150 miles) south of the capital Tehran, is considered Iran’s largest uranium enrichment facility. According to analysts, the site is used to develop and assemble uranium enriched centrifuges, a key technology that converts uranium into nuclear fuel.

The IAEA said three nuclear sites, Fordow, Isfahan and Bushehr, were not affected.

Six Iranian nuclear scientists were also killed in the Israeli strike, said Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Iranian state.

Iran has long strengthened its nuclear structure against the threat of military strikes.

Some facilities are buried underground to keep them out of reach of Israeli weapons.

Cruz was excited about the release of “Anora,” but was disillusioned with the film.

“Anola” follows a whirlwind relationship between 23-year-old stripper Anni (Mikey Madison) and her husband Vanya (Mark Edjershtin), who has become a client-turned-handed son of a Russian oligarch. The romantic drama was sold as a Cinderella story and as an early screening for sex workers’ audiences. When the film dominated the awards season, other sex workers began to express their disapproval.

One of Cruz’s biggest criticisms was his portrayal of sex workers “not as workers who carry out their workers” and “through the eyes of customers and consumers.” For her, the film was a “reminder” that “it’s not accurately portrayed” unless the sex worker controls the portrayal from start to finish.

“Anola embodies the inhuman consumer fantasy of dedicated workers who love their customers.

In Mikey Madison’s acceptance speech for Oscar’s best actress, Madison recognized the sex worker community.

Shortly before sunrise in Iran on Friday, Israel began its first strike of operations against its regime’s nuclear program.

The operation, dubbed the “Lion Lion,” had two prongs: a heavy airstrike on at least one of Iran’s enrichment sites and a strike that was more targeted in Tehran to decapitate the military leaders of the regime. It aimed to stop Israel saying it was Tehran’s rapid progress in the development of nuclear weapons.

The Israeli attack came after years of threats and days of speculation, but no US blessings. The Trump administration emphasized that Israel was acting unilaterally and that Washington was “not involved.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation would continue “the required days” to eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat. Tehran, who argued that the nuclear program is peace, said “there is no choice but to respond.”

This is what you need to know.

When and where did Israel attack?

The first explosion tore Tehran at 3:30am on Friday (8pm on Thursday). A video georoded by CNN shows flames and smoke swirling from buildings around the city.

The Tehran residents were blind. Many people didn’t expect Israel to attack that quickly. “I didn’t know what was going on. It was really scary,” the 17-year-old Iranian told CNN, demanding anonymity due to safety concerns.

Shortly after the explosion shook Tehran, Israel also attacked elsewhere in the country. Israeli forces said they would use jets to attack “dozens of military targets, including nuclear targets in various regions of Iran.”

An explosion has been reported at Iran’s major enrichment facility in Natanz, about 250 kilometers (150 miles) south of Tehran.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN’s nuclear watchdog, confirmed that Natantz had been attacked, but said it had not observed an increase in radiation levels in the region.

IAEA head Rafael Grossi said other nuclear facilities in Iran, Isfahan, Buscher and Fordau, were not affected. The Fordow site is buried under the mountain and is considered a much more difficult target for Israel.

In a televised speech, Netanyahu said Israel took action to “roll back the Iranian threat to Israel’s very survival,” and that it would continue to operate as long as it would “to remove these threats.”

Netanyahu claimed that Iran had produced well-enriched uranium for nine nuclear weapons in recent years.

“Iran could produce nuclear weapons in a very short time. It could be a year, it could be within months,” he said. “This is a clear and current danger to Israel’s survival.”

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) also said it had destroyed Iran’s ballistic missile launch sites and stockpiles.

Some of the most important men in Iranian military and its nuclear program were killed in the Israeli strike.

Major General Hossein Salami, head of the Secret Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), was the best property of those killed.

Israel also said it had killed Major General Mohammad Bagheli, the chief of staff of the Iranian army. Ali Shamhani, close aide to Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Air Force of the IRGC.

Iran’s retaliation has already begun. The IDF said Tehran has fired more than 100 drones at Israel, and Israeli defenses are working to intercept the drones.

Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian urged the Iranian people to remain united and trust Iranian leadership.

“The country needs unity… more than ever,” he added.

It is not clear how Tehran will attempt accurate retaliation after a series of deadly and embarrassing Israeli blows against the Iranian regime.

Following previous Israeli attacks on proxies in Iran and the region, Tehran fought back with a massive salvos of ballistic missiles.

The War Institute, a think tank in Washington, DC, said this time, “It is possible that Israel has somehow confused Iran’s response by targeting Iran’s ballistic missile launch sites and stockpiles.”

The Trump administration has been pursuing a diplomatic path with Iran in recent weeks, but has tried to distance itself from Israel’s attacks.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Israel’s actions were “unilateral.” Israel notified the US ahead of the strike, but Rubio said the US was “not involved” in the attack.

“Our top priority is protecting the US troops in the area,” he added. Earlier this week, the US made efforts to arrange for the resignation of non-essential staff from various countries in the Middle East, leading to speculation that Israeli attacks on Iran could be imminent.

US President Donald Trump has urged Iran to agree to a new nuclear deal “before there’s nothing left,” suggesting that Israel’s attacks are “even more cruel.”

Trump said he gave Iran a “post-chance chance.” “Do that before it’s too late,” he writes about Truth Social, a social media platform.

Under the 2015 nuclear deal, which was hit by former US President Barack Obama, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran has agreed to dramatically limit uranium enrichment in centrifuges and caps to levels well below the level required to build weapons, in exchange for sacred relief.

However, during his first term as president in 2018, Trump withdrew from the JCPOA, saying the “rotten structure” of the deal was not enough to prevent Iran from developing nuclear bombs. He threatened to tighten sanctions against Iran and sanction the countries that helped the regime acquire nuclear weapons.

In his second semester, Trump revived efforts to launch a new nuclear deal with Iran. Hours before the Israeli strike, the president warned Israel against launching an attack while US consultations are underway.

“As long as I think there’s an agreement, it blows it away, so they don’t want them to come in. They might actually help it, but they might blow it,” Trump said.

The US military celebrated its 250th anniversary on Saturday, June 14th, marking its glamourful processions through the city of the country’s capital with a one-day festival, musical performances, fireworks and several precedent exhibitions.

Parades and festivals coinciding with President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday and flag day consume a few blocks of central DC, Washington, DC, which takes place primarily at the National Mall.

The day will begin around 8:15am on ET and be held at a ceremony led by the SEC, decorated with wreaths. Defensive Pete Hegses at Arlington National Cemetery. It will be streamed live here and then the entire day events will be held, ending with an evening parade and a display of fireworks. The parade will be streamed live alongside several other events and concerts.

The festival is an “opening event” to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in 2026, organizers say. According to a report by USA Today, Bisesquicentententententen in 2026 began nearly nine years ago due to acts of Congress, while Bisesquicentententententen was planning its second anniversary, but the June 14th parade began a month ago. The administration has repeatedly stated that military anniversary and Trump’s birthday are coincidence, but it is unclear whether or not they will receive their own celebrations while the US Navy and Marines celebrate their 250th anniversary this fall.

The military parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, spanning six blocks in central Washington, D.C., bisecting the National Mall. Organizers say the queue begins at 6:30 pm ET.

The festival starts earlier in the day, but will move from the festival to the parade at 6pm on ET, organizers say, with the latest queue times listing the start times on Constitutional Avenue at 6:30pm and lasting from 7:45pm to 8pm. After that there will be an enlistment ceremony and a concert about ovals and fireworks.

It is open to the public and features opportunities to interact with soldiers, watch military demonstrations and exhibitions, and listen to live music.

Organizers say the festival is family-friendly and refers to robotics displays, celebrity encounters and melting, face painting, games and rock walls available to children.

What events are during the Army Birthday Festival?

The U.S. Army will hold a fitness contest from 9:30am to noon on ET, and organizers will “test how teams work under stress and motivate others to ACh” at the event that “emphasize fitness for both individuals and squads.”

NASHVILLE — The Chevrolet suburbs were heading east along Interstate 40 when they caught the attention of Tennessee troopers.

Behind the wheel was Kilmer Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who illegally arrived in the United States 10 years ago from El Salvador. Among the vehicles were nine other passengers, all Hispanic men, according to court documents.

Abrego Garcia told officers he was bringing the man back from St. Louis to Maryland, where he said they were working at a construction site.

However, the police were suspicious.

None of the passengers had IDs or baggage, no signs of tools or construction equipment, and several men handed them the same Maryland address where they were heading. A few minutes later, police allowed the SUV to continue their journey and issued only warning quotes to Abrego Garcia to drive with an expired license.

More than two years later, traffic stopped on November 30, 2022 in Cookville, a city 80 miles east of Nashville, and is at the heart of federal criminal cases, including allegations of international migrant smuggling rings and criticism of President Donald Trump’s forced policy of illegally deporting immigrants in the United States.

The Federal Ju Court in Nashville charged Abrego Garcia on May 21 with accusations that he was part of a conspiracy to transport undocumented immigrants for economic benefits. He appears in the U.S. District Court in Nashville on June 13th to respond to the charges. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison for each person transported. Prosecutors say he has traveled more than 100 times.

The charges are the latest chapters in the Saga against three sheet metal workers and three fathers who were deported to El Salvador in March in violation of a previous court that barred the Trump administration from sending him back to his home country.

Government lawyers who confirmed in court records that Abrego Garcia was mistakenly deported have been argued for weeks that the United States has no authority to bring Abrego Garcia back to the United States from the Salvador prison where he was held. They suddenly turned the course back, and on June 6th he flew him to the US.

The lawyers at the U.S. Lawyers in Nashville, who are indicting the case, alleges that Abrego Garcia remains in jail while the case is alleged. Abrego Garcia’s criminal lawyers argue that the criminal lawyers at the Federal Public Defence Office in Nashville does not provide sufficient evidence to justify his detention.

“Abrego Garcia asks the court that he has been denied in the past few months – justifiable proceedings,” his lawyer wrote in a June 11 filing.

US Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes will consider the question during the June 13 hearing.

Meanwhile, other questions continue to swirl around the case, with concerns that politics could have influenced the decision to file criminal charges.

Why did the government wait more than two years to accuse Abrego Garcia when there was evidence that he was involved in international smuggling rings? Why did the Trump administration only file charges after facing a flood of criticism for deporting Abrego Garcia in violation of previous court orders? And why was Abrego Garcia alive when he was handed over to an immigration agent in March and then deported to El Salvador, even though the case was indicted in Tennessee, not in Maryland?

The Trump administration, which accused Abrego Garcia of being a member of the violent gangster MS-13, pointed to an incident that justified his decision to banish him from the United States. The administration also accused former President Joe Biden of delay in pursuing criminal charges, claiming that Biden is not interested in taking action against immigrants who were illegally in the United States.

Maryland Case: Old Trump administration in Abrego Garcia’s case: “A movement of total frustration”

Attorney General Pam Bondy asked at a recent press conference in Washington, D.C. about what has changed since the 2022 traffic stop.

Abrego Garcia’s immigration lawyers have raised questions about the government’s motivation to file criminal charges.

“The government has vanished Kilmer to a foreign prison in violation of court orders,” said Simon Sandoval Moshenberg, who represented Abrego Garcia in a civil lawsuit that challenged his democratization. “Now, after months of delays and secrets, they will get him back and prosecute him rather than correct their mistakes.”

“This is an abuse of power, not just justice,” he said.

The criminal case also reportedly led to the famous resignation at the U.S. Law Office in Tennessee.

The day Abrego Garcia was indicted, Ben Schroeder, chief of the Criminal Division of the Central District of Tennessee, resigned. Schrader, a 15-year veteran of the US law firm, has become increasingly uncomfortable with the administration’s actions, and the charges were “the last straw.”

Schrader declined to request comment.

Why were criminal charges filed in Tennessee?

In a criminal case against Abrego Garcia, the prosecutor should point out “obvious conduct” that indicates that the defendant took part in the conspiracy.

“They claim a comprehensive conspiracy, and then they choose one obvious act of the conspiracy to grant jurisdiction to the court,” said David Rayvin, a longtime defense attorney for Nashville.

In this case, the Abrego Garcia stop with the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 2022 is its “outright act.”

The indictment against Abrego Garcia alleges that between 2016 and 2025, he and other unknown people took undocumented US immigrants from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador and other countries, before passing through Mexico and crossing Texas. Sometimes, MS-13 members accompanied him on a trip, and the indictment stated.

Prosecutors say Abrego Garcia’s role in the plot was to usually transport people after they were in the US and usually pick them up in the Houston area.

When he was pulled to Tennessee, Abrego Garcia told police that his passengers were working at a construction site in St. Louis. However, the accusations say data from license plate readers show that the vehicle has not been in St. Louis for the past year but was in Houston last week.

Rayvin predicted that Abrego Garcia’s lawyers would ask for the case to be dismissed as time has passed since the alleged crime occurred.

“What you’re expecting is, “I think the case should be dismissed for reasons of a legitimate process. You’ve seriously biased my right to protect my client. Many of the evidence is 4-5 years old, so there are no witnesses,” Rayvin said.

“In other words, the question is where have you been for six years,” he said.

It is not clear how much evidence the government has now with Abrego Garcia.

“By definition, it is only necessary to state the charges and one de facto predicate act, so we cannot identify the quality or amount of evidence that the government has from the charges,” Rayvin said.

Prosecutors say they know who some of the co-conspirators in the case are, despite them being unknown in the charges. Raybin said prosecutors generally want to have more evidence than their conspirators’ testimony.

“The practical question is that you’d want to have something beyond the snitches of many prisons where you are at risk of deportation,” Rayvin said. “That’s a big problem with this incident for me.”

And while the case has been politicized by media and government officials, Raybin didn’t think it would be a wise strategy in court.

“I think defense will probably start to raise the illusion that this is a political incident or a political witch hunt,” he said. “As a lawyer, I would never do that unless I have four aces.”

He compared it to another recently famous case in the Central Tennessee area.

“You know, the only thing that goes to the political witch hunt cry so far,” he said. It cited a political corruption case against Glen Casada, a former Tennessee House Speaker, who was recently convicted of a federal crime. “In the case of Casada, it didn’t go anywhere.”

“I saw progressive bounty for the jackpot’s grandeur and thought, ‘I’m going to pop right away,'” a military member said. “I budgeted $100 to play that day. I thought if I lost I’d lose.”

He didn’t.

“We are always pleased to see one of the players who have won the prize that makes a huge difference in our lives being awarded,” said Drew Svitko, executive director of the Pennsylvania lottery.

Who is Christopher Lehman from the Pennsylvania lottery?

Lehman said he was at Meetary for a quarter century.

He recently moved from New England to Pennsylvania with his wife and won the same day that he signed up for a Pennsylvania lottery online account, the release shows.

“My wife and I moved here from New Hampshire about a month ago,” he said. “I’ve been active in the Army for the past 25 years. I played lottery games online in New Hampshire and now I’ve played them online in Pennsylvania.”

“We had to be adults.”

He said he would use the prize money to pay off the couple’s home, buy a new truck and invest the rest.

“It went from the extreme, ‘We should go buy these things, we should buy this or this, we should spend on it’ – we weren’t really trying to do it, but it was good to think about it until the money hits,” he said.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said the military parade in the country’s capital this weekend was a rain or sparkle event as forecasts indicate possible bad weather on parade day.

“I hope the weather is fine, but if it doesn’t, it brings you good fortune, and that’s fine too,” Trump discussed the parade on June 12th during a Congressional picnic at the White House. “That doesn’t matter. It doesn’t affect tanks at all. It doesn’t affect soldiers. They’re used to it. They’re tough. They’re smart.”

Earlier that day, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said there would be a military celebration “whatever.”

“The changes to the Army’s birthday parade will be announced by the Department of Defense or the US 250 Commission. No matter what, there will be a historic celebration of military servicemen!” Kelly said.

The National Weather Service forecast in Washington, DC on June 14 shows that there is a 50% chance of rain. The forecast says it will be cloudy at almost 83 heights. Thunderstorms are possible.

Trump is planning a massive military parade through the streets of Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army on June 14th. It was also his 79th birthday.

The second-term president-elect described it as a “grand parade” in his picnic remarks, adding, “I don’t think you’ve seen anything like what you’re trying to see.”

The parade is what D-California Sen. Adam Schiff calls it a “dictator-style military parade” compared to the dictator-regime. Protesters are staging a nationwide “No Kings” demonstration against Trump on the day of the parade.

“President Trump wants a tank on the street and a dominant television display for his birthday. A sight intended to look like strength,” reads a statement on the “No Kings” website. “But real power is not performed in Washington. It rises everywhere else.”

The parade’s Army’s initial estimates covered the $25 million to $45 million range. But as the event approaches, estimates are refined, including the expected damage to the heavily armored vehicles and infrastructure, according to defense officials who are not allowed to publicly speak.

The $40 million taxpayer funds a parade featuring Abrams tanks, vintage World War II fighters, and thousands of soldiers marching in uniforms of the era to show the battles of the nation from the Revolutionary War to the present. A review stand is being built for Trump, south of the White House.

The Army also shipped tanks from Texas from railroads to Washington for the parade, and soldiers from other posts across the country. They are housed downtown in government buildings transformed into temporary barracks with thousands of beds.
