Where to find the best burger bargains in America

If you’re tired of high restaurant prices, there’s at least one place where you can get a burger, fries, and soda for less.

A new DoorDash report found that the cheapest burger combo in America was in Austin, Texas, where the average price for a burger and fries meal was $12.94. The findings come from the company’s annual Cheeseburger Index, which tracks menu prices in cities across the country.

Several other cities also make the list for burger bargains, including Laredo, Texas. Lincoln, Nebraska, Detroit. Meanwhile, Anchorage, Alaska ranks as the most expensive place to buy a cheeseburger combo, with an average price of $28 for the meal.

Here are the top 10 most affordable cities for burgers and fries, according to DoorDash.

How much have prices increased compared to last year?

Even the cheapest burgers are getting more expensive these days.

The price of the nation’s most affordable combo meal has increased by about $2 compared to last year. In DoorDash’s 2025 report, Lincoln, Nebraska held the top spot with an average price of $10.70 for a burger and fries.

Nationwide, burger combo prices rose 3.2% year over year, according to DoorDash’s Cheeseburger Index.

DoorDash spokesperson Eli Scheinholtz told USA TODAY that menu prices can vary widely from city to city due to differences in operating costs.

DoorDash doesn’t break down exactly why certain cities are higher or lower in the rankings, but the increase reflects the broader price increases consumers have seen in recent years. According to previous USA TODAY reporting, the consumer price index rose 4.2% year over year.

Which city had the lowest restaurant inflation?

Food prices continue to rise, but in some cities the increase is smaller than in others.

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin is representing her son Gabriel Hostin in his latest legal troubles.

The 24-year-old was charged with trespassing in New York City on June 16, according to records obtained by USA TODAY. No arrests were made in the incident, but the Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued a citation to Gabriel Hostin.

Sunny Hostin, who shares husband Emmanuel Hostin with Gabriel Hostin, is also a lawyer. She is listed as her son’s attorney and her next court appearance is scheduled for July 31, according to court records.

USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Sunny Hostin for comment.

In a letter obtained by TMZ on Monday, July 13, Sunny Hostin asked prosecutors to dismiss the case, writing, “My client is a 2025 Harvard graduate with no criminal history or contact with the criminal justice system.”

She said Gabriel Hostin, “an avid runner and former Junior Olympic track and field athlete, was training in the area” when he saw “a gravel slope that could be used for hill training.” There was a “no trespassing” sign at the entrance gate, but “I didn’t see it[when Gabrielle Hostin entered the premises],” Sunny Hostin said.

“He reasonably believed the area was accessible and had no intention of unlawfully trespassing on private property,” she continued, noting that officers arrived at the scene “within minutes” of approaching Gabriel Hostin.

She also said that “the officer accepted that the gate should have been closed,” which supported her son’s “reasonable belief that the area appeared to be open and accessible to the public.”

“The facts show that this incident arose from honest mistake, not criminal intent,” Sunny Hostin wrote. “Dismissal will avoid imposing unnecessary consequences on a young man who has demonstrated exceptional character and accomplishments and who poses no danger to the community.”

How to play Powerball

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This can be done at a variety of locations, including local convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery stores.

In some states, you can purchase Powerball tickets online, depending on your local jurisdiction.

Once you have your ticket, you have to choose six numbers. Five of them are white balls numbered from 1 to 69. The red Powerball range is 1-26.

You can also add a “power play” for $1. This increases the winnings for all non-jackpot prizes. “Power Play” multipliers can multiply winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.

A “Quick Pick” option is also available if you want the computer to select the numbers for you. To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls and the red Powerball in any order.

Darling Graham Nordone’s path from disability services to the U.S. Senate

In less than 48 hours, Darling Graham Nordone went from a career helping people with disabilities find jobs to becoming the first woman elected to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate.

On July 13, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Senator Graham Nordon to serve the remainder of his term following the sudden death of longtime Republican Senator Lindsey Graham on July 11.

Speaking at the state Capitol after taking office, Graham Nordone suggested he would continue the work of his brother, who raised him after losing his parents when he was young. These were her first public comments since Graham’s death.

“Lindsay has always been there for me, and I’ll be there for him,” she said, calling Lindsay an outstanding leader who worked harder than anyone to better the state, country and world.

Graham Nordone is scheduled to be sworn in at the Capitol on July 14 at 2:30 p.m. ET, a congressional aide told USA TODAY. He is expected to hold the position until January 3, 2027, when the winner of the November election is scheduled to take office.

A life shaped by family tragedy

Much of Graham Nordon’s life story is intertwined with that of her older brother. The brothers grew up in the small town of Central, South Carolina, where their parents owned a pool hall and restaurant.

Their childhood changed dramatically when their mother died of Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1976. Fifteen months later, her father died of a heart attack, leaving Lindsey Graham, then a college student, to care for her sister.

Graham Nordon was 13 years old when his father died, according to the Post and Courier. In interviews over the years, she talked about how scared she felt after losing her parents and how her brother took on the role of caregiver. Graham became his sister’s legal guardian and provided her with insurance and other benefits before joining the U.S. Air Force as a military lawyer.

“I remember the day my father died, standing there in the living room scared to death, and Lindsey put her arm around me and promised me that she would always be there to care for me,” Graham Nordone told NPR in 2015.

Their bond remained a defining feature of Graham’s public life. In a 2015 interview with The New York Times, Graham Nordon described his younger brother as “a brother, father and mother rolled into one.”

Careers in Disability Services

Although the brothers are close, they followed different career paths. Graham Nordone spent most of his money on disability services and workforce development, not electoral politics.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College of Charleston, a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and is certified as a public administrator, according to a biography provided to The Greenville News, part of the USA TODAY Network.

For nearly seven years, she served on the South Carolina Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, focused on helping blind and visually impaired people achieve employment, independence and economic self-sufficiency, the biography said.

Graham Nordone began his career as a certified optician, working directly with people addressing their eye care needs, before moving to state government. He then held positions at Clemson University and the state employment department before joining the South Carolina Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Graham Nordon spent 12 years at the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, where he served as director of business services and director of communications, according to his biography. She currently serves on the South Carolina Workforce Development Commission and is president-elect of the National Council of State Agencies for the Blind.

Graham Nordon lives in Lexington, South Carolina with her husband, Larry Nordon. The couple has two daughters and a grandson, according to a biography obtained by The Greenville News.

Behind Lindsey Graham’s campaign

Although she never ran for public office, Graham Nordone was close to her brother at key points in his political career, often sharing personal stories about how he raised her after the death of her parents and the close bond the siblings maintained throughout their lives.

In 2014, when Graham was seeking a third term in the Senate, Graham Nordin appeared in a campaign ad in which he said his brother promised he would take care of their parents after they died.

During Graham’s 2016 presidential campaign, Graham Nordon was a prominent presence at campaign events, sharing stories about the brothers’ upbringing and their close relationship. Graham, who has never married or had children, once joked in a 2015 interview with the Daily Mail that her sister might fill the role of first lady if she were elected president.

“I have a sister, and she can fill that role if needed,” Graham said, adding, “I have a lot of friends. We’ll have rotating first ladies.”

Now, Graham Nordon is contributing to Graham’s legacy in a very different way.

“It’s a great honor to be able to complete some of his important work,” she said. “And I pledge to work hard in the coming months to support the president and continue my brother’s efforts on behalf of the people of South Carolina and the United States.”

Jordan Walker became the first St. Louis Cardinals player to win the MLB Home Run Derby when he put together a crazy rally late in the final to wow the Citizens Bank Park crowd rooting for hometown hero Kyle Schwarber.

It looked like Schwarber would win after hitting 11 in the final, but Walker hit a home run on his final six swings, silencing the Philadelphia crowd.

Phillies slugger Schwarber and Bryce Harper had fans, but Harper was eliminated in the first round. Harper was the last player to win the Derby at home in 2018, when he was still with the Washington Nationals, and Schwarber finished runner-up that year at Nationals Park.

Walker, 24, made his debut in 2024 and had a breakout season with the Cardinals, hitting 22 home runs, 74 RBIs, and stealing 13 bases at the end of the season.

Willson Contreras led the way after the first round with 13 RBIs as the first hitter that night. Walker followed suit with 13 of his own, and the Tampa Bay Rays’ Junior Caminero and Schwarber joined the pair in the semifinals.

Schwarber set a career high with 56 home runs last season and led the majors with 32 at the All-Star break.

The Boston Red Sox slugger had two chances to tie Schwarber, with the crowd booing him every time he took a swing, but he fell short, and the final game was a matchup between Schwarber and Jordan Walker.

Schwarber hit seven home runs at one point, but ended up hitting just nine out of 15 swings. This will be very difficult for Contreras to break.

Walker exited his semifinal match against Junior Caminero with seven swings remaining, conserving his energy for the final.

The Tampa Bay Rays slugger is trying to become the youngest player to win the Home Run Derby, but he hit only five home runs out of 15 swings in the semifinals. That included his longest home run ever, at 491 feet.

Local hero Kyle Schwarber led MLB in home runs at the All-Star break, but he failed to hit a home run in his first five swings. He found his groove and ended up scoring 10 points and hitting some absolute bombs in the ballpark he calls home.

Last year’s runner-up, Caminero, 23, lost to Cal Rory in Atlanta 2025. He had 12 hits in the first round tonight, falling one short of the lead, but will likely secure a spot in the next round.

Ben Rice was the fifth batter in the Home Run Derby and the lowest hitter of any player thus far, finishing the round with seven home runs, the longest being 443 feet.

The Yankees slugger entered the All-Star break with 29 home runs, third in MLB behind Kyle Schwarber and Yordan Alvarez.

Japanese rookie Munetaka Murakami had a decent round, hitting nine home runs at Citizens Bank Park.

Royals slugger Jack Carianone followed Walker and Contreras as he swung toward the short porch of the right-field seats at Citizens Bank Park. He finished the round with eight home runs, the longest being 477 home runs.

Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker was the No. 2 batter of the night, hitting three home runs on his first four swings.

Walker grew tired as the rounds went on, but ultimately tied Contreras with 13 home runs, the longest hit of 470 feet.

Boston’s Willson Contreras was the leadoff batter that night, hitting seven home runs on his first 10 swings.

Contreras finished the round with 13 home runs out of his allotted 20 swings, setting the bar incredibly high for the rest of the field. His longest home run of the round was 490 feet.

Eight participants in this year’s Home Run Derby entered the ring (literally) as Bryce Harper wowed fans at his home stadium.

After a three-year hiatus, KFC is bringing back one of its most popular menu items as the restaurant chain continues to revamp its offerings.

In a news release, the global fried chicken chain announced it will be serving its famous popcorn chicken again starting July 13, while supplies last.

KFC’s Popcorn Chicken first debuted in the early 1990s, long before fans went online to tout their love for the crispy, bite-sized chicken.

By the time it disappeared in 2023, the menu had become a cult favorite, with customers demanding its return on social media.

KFC listened and announced on July 13 that Popcorn Chicken would be back for a limited time, while supplies last.

“For years, KFC has heard directly from our fans calling for the return of Popcorn Chicken. We read every comment, every DM, and even every online petition signature, and we couldn’t ignore that message,” said Melissa Cash, KFC’s chief marketing officer. “As we continue our Kentucky Fried comeback journey, the return of this menu item demonstrates our commitment to listening to our most loyal fans by giving them exactly what they crave.”

To celebrate the relaunch of Popcorn Chicken, KFC has teamed up with Giphy to develop several GIFs, some featuring Colonel Sanders himself, that fans of the menu item can use to highlight their excitement, according to a news release.

KFC offers popcorn chicken in three different ways, with prices ranging from $8.49 to $10.99.

  • Popcorn chicken bucket: 16 oz. A shareable bucket of popcorn chicken with four dipping sauces for $10.
  • Popcorn chicken big box: 6oz popcorn chicken, 2 tenders, medium fries, medium drink, 2 dipping sauces, and chocolate chunk cookie for $10.99.
  • Popcorn chicken combo: A 6-ounce popcorn chicken, a medium order of fries, a medium drink, and one dipping sauce costs $8.49.

KFC also announced the return of popcorn chicken on social media, much to the delight of customers.

“Peak KFC is back,” one user wrote on X. “My prayers have been answered. Thank you Lord,” along with a sobbing emoji, a laughing crying emoji and hands in prayer.

Another said he had not eaten at the restaurant since popcorn chicken was removed from the menu three years ago. “I haven’t had KFC since 2023. Let’s start again,” a user wrote.

At least three cases of cyclosporiasis have been confirmed in Wyoming as of early July. Cases of cyclosporiasis, a parasitic infection known to cause severe diarrhea, have been reported in all but eight states, USA TODAY reported.

NBC News/Today’s tally of state reports found more than 4,000 reported cases nationwide as of July 13, 2026, but these numbers are not directly comparable to the national surveillance numbers confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Michigan has officially reported 2,640 cases to date. According to the CDC, as of July 9, no deaths have been reported.

A majority of Americans expect the war with Iran to be long, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Monday, July 13th.

A new poll shows that 79% of respondents believe US military action in Iran will “continue for a long time.” However, only 18% of respondents believe the war will end “fairly quickly, within a few weeks.”

US military involvement in Iran remains unpopular with the American public, as only 37% of respondents in the latest poll said they supported an attack. The poll also found that about half of Americans think the war was not worth the cost.

The poll, conducted among 1,019 U.S. adults, had a margin of error of 4 percentage points, according to Reuters/Ipsos.

The poll was taken on the same day the United States launched a new offensive against Iran on Monday, beginning a third consecutive day of attacks.

President Trump said early Monday that the United States would reinstate a naval blockade against Iran and act as a “guardian” of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway. He added that the US would charge countries a fee of 20% of the value of all cargo transported to cover “all costs necessary to carry out the work of providing safety and security to highly volatile regions of the world.”

Soaring gas prices

Monday’s poll also showed Americans are less optimistic about future gas prices, with 60% of respondents saying they expect prices to rise next year as a direct result of the Iran war.

The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.87, down 19 cents from the previous month but up 72 cents from July 2025, according to AAA. Crude oil prices soared again in the market, with market benchmark Brent crude futures rising $2.39, or about 3%, to $78.40.

For friends who fall into the latter category, TikTok has a term called “crisis friends.”

There’s a huge friendship debate going on online, about friends who only reach out when they’re in a crisis. According to TikTokers, you know you’re dealing with a friend in crisis when a large portion, or sometimes the entirety, of your interaction involves supporting, comforting, or helping your friend through further crisis.

Some TikTokers have harsh words for so-called “friends in crisis.”

“You can’t remain friends with a friend in crisis,” one TikToker said in a video that has been viewed more than 2 million times. “Those people always have to be in a state of crisis, because that’s the only way they can benefit from your sympathy.”

According to mental health and friendship experts, the topic of “friends in crisis” is complex and requires nuance (not something social media has historically been known for). Yes, some toxic friendships are certainly one-sided. You need to be aware of them and evaluate whether this is a relationship worth maintaining. But in any friendship, there always comes a time when someone is in a real crisis and needs support.

Knowing the difference between a friend in crisis and a friend in crisis is the key to being a good friend.

“A crisis friend is someone who essentially always feels like they’re in a crisis, and only reaches out to them when they’re in a crisis,” says Shasta Nelson, a social relationships expert and author of The Business of Friendship: Making the Most of Our Relationships Where We Spend Most of Our Time. “And often there is also what I call a ‘season of crisis.’ And I like to separate the two, because we all go through seasons of crisis, where terrible things happen, where we experience loss and grief.”

Are they “friends in crisis” or friends in crisis?

Most people probably know what it’s like to have a friend who seems to be living in eternal crisis. If you’re a good listener and empathetic, your friend will probably be more likely to talk to you about their problems.

“You may be good at being an active listener, caring, and empathetic,” says psychotherapist Stephanie Serkis. “Where it gets to the point where it consumes you is when you feel like you only call in times of crisis.”

Nelson says healthy friendships rely on reciprocity, where both parties support each other through difficult times and share victories and hardships equally.

But this temporary imbalance in reciprocity is not a bad thing, she added. In fact, that’s to be expected in long-term friendships. The key is to view these periods of imbalance in the context of the friendship as a whole.

“If you can basically look at the bank accounts of the people involved, you can gauge the health of the relationship,” Nelson says. “One of the things that’s really important is that if you have a friendship where you’ve made enough savings, so to speak, you can handle that withdrawal season because your ratios are under control and you’re not in debt.”

“We’re working in a culture that tends to be solitary, and most of us expect from a few friends what we once expected from that village,” she says.

Sen. Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darling Graham Nordone, has been appointed to serve out the remaining term of the late Republican.

“Lindsay has always been there for me and I will always be there for him,” Graham Nordone said at a press conference on July 13, making his first public comments since his brother’s death, describing him as an outstanding leader. “It is a great honor to finish some of his important work. I am committed to working hard over the next few months to support the president and continue my brother’s efforts on behalf of the people of South Carolina and the United States.”

Graham Nordin became the first woman to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate after her 71-year-old brother died suddenly on July 11 from what was previously determined to be a ruptured aorta caused by atherosclerosis.

In announcing the appointment, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster said he called Graham Nordone on July 12 to make the request, which she tearfully accepted.

“I was humbled by how quickly you understood the duties you had to fulfill,” McMaster said. “Then I called the president (Donald Trump) and he thought this was a great idea. I’m sure everyone here agrees.”

Graham Nordon has no political experience. Her current job is to help people with disabilities find jobs.

But with the support of her brother’s staff and colleagues, she said she’s confident she can get the job done.

“What Lindsey wanted”

“I think this is what Lindsey would have wanted and this is how I will honor him,” Graham Nordone said, acknowledging his brother’s accomplishments. “Okay, Lindsey, I’ve missed you more than words can express, but I’m going to do this. I understand.”

It is unclear whether Graham Nordon will run for his brother’s seat. Graham defeated multiple challengers, including wealthy businessman Mark Lynch, in South Carolina’s Republican primary last month and was seeking a fifth term in the Senate in this year’s midterm elections.

Under South Carolina law, candidates wishing to run for Graham’s seat have one week starting July 21 to apply for a special primary election to be held on August 11.

McMaster’s Graham Nordone’s announcement came hours after Trump made the recommendation in a post on Truth Social.

“I have recommended to Governor Henry McMaster that Ms. Darling, Lindsey Graham’s wonderful sister, serve as U.S. Senator pro tempore from South Carolina,” Trump tweeted. “This would be a wonderful tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly!”

Senate Majority Leader John Thune also supported the choice, telling CNN it “makes a lot of sense.”

Graham was never married and had no children, but he often mentioned his close bond with his sister.

The United States launched a new attack on Iran on July 13, the third consecutive day of strikes after President Donald Trump declared an end to a long and unstable ceasefire as the United States seeks to secure the vital Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on X, U.S. Central Command said the attack, which began at 4:45 p.m. ET, “continues to impose heavy casualties on Iranian forces and reduces their ability to attack innocent civilians and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.”

President Trump said on the same day that the United States was reinstating its naval blockade against Iran and would act as a “guardian” of the vital waterway. He added that the US would charge countries a fee of 20% of the value of all cargo transported to cover “all costs necessary to carry out the work of providing safety and security to highly volatile regions of the world.”

“We’re occupying the strait. They don’t have anything,” Trump said in a July 13 phone interview with Fox News, claiming that the United States would be “redeemed” by other Middle Eastern countries for operating the strait, a key oil shipping corridor in the region.

U.S. and Iranian officials last month signed a preliminary peace agreement to end the war that began on February 28. The memorandum called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the start of further negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program and US sanctions. Iran’s previous port blockade was lifted in June, before the preliminary agreement collapsed.

President Trump also appeared on the Hugh Hewitt radio show on July 13 to discuss the U.S.-Iranian conflict and said the U.S. was preparing to attack the Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility.

“We’re going to destroy Pickaxe Mountain. Tell the Iranians to get ready,” Trump said in an interview. “We’re watching closely. We don’t see any activity there. They’re not doing a good job on the nuclear issue. Every time we hear about it, we blow it up.” “That’s why they don’t like to talk about it. But maybe we’ll try the ice ax relatively soon.”

Summer camps are usually for children, but there are also summer camps for adults, including women-only camps. Our newest adult summer camp currently underway is free for bourbon lovers.

Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, is holding an online contest for two upcoming summer camp sessions (August 29th and September 5th, both Saturdays), but only 200 lucky winners will receive a free invitation. Interested parties can apply for a chance to attend day camp or day camp with overnight luxury camping on these two dates.

Participants will learn about how bourbon is made and participate in hands-on activities at the distillery, including woodworking, tasting sessions, and trivia contests.

“At Buffalo Trace Distillery, we are always looking for new ways to create memorable moments for our guests, and Camp Buffalo Trace provides an opportunity to celebrate the fun and connections that make summer special,” Buffalo Trace Distillery General Manager Tyler Adams said in a news release announcing the contest. “By combining interactive activities, bourbon education, and overnight camping accommodations, we have created a unique program designed to help our guests create lasting memories at our distillery.”

At the end of the day camp activities, overnight campers will stay on the distillery grounds in “air-conditioned canvas tents equipped with premium indoor and outdoor furniture, a fully stocked mini-fridge with water and Freddy’s Old Fashioned sodas, plush robes and slippers, and more,” according to Buffalo Trace.

How to earn a spot at Buffalo Trace Summer Camp

Buffalo Trace, which recently opened its first restaurant, will begin accepting entries for the Camp Buffalo Trace Sweepstakes on July 14th at noon ET until July 21st at 11:59 a.m. ET.

To participate, visit the Buffalo Trace website at https://www.buffalotracedistillery.com/camp/. Transportation costs are not included, but all on-site experiences are free.

Participants can choose between day camp only or day camp with one night of luxury camping on either date. Overall, 90 winners will be selected for each day camp session and 10 winners for each day/overnight luxury camping experience for a total of 200 winners.

Winners will be randomly selected to be in attendance for both dates (August 29th and September 5th). According to Buffalo Trace, those seeking the day camp/overnight camp option will be eligible for a day camp experience even if they are not selected.

Camp Buffalo Trace Activities

If you’re one of the lucky 200 winners to attend Buffalo Trace’s summer camp, you’ll be able to participate in four hands-on experiences that “combine craftsmanship, competition, and discovery,” according to Buffalo Trace.

  • Whiskey woodworking workshop: According to Buffalo Trace, campers will be able to make their own cocktail stirrers (tools used to press fruit and other drink ingredients) using real barrel sticks while “learning first-hand the role white oak plays in bourbon production.”
  • Bung driving relay: A skill competition to seal a whiskey barrel.
  • Blind Tasting and Buffalo Trace Trivia: This contest tests campers’ bourbon skills and knowledge.
  • Single Barrel Challenge: According to the distillery, a tasting test was conducted using three barrels of the same bourbon from different maturation periods to educate campers on “how time, warehouse layout, and aging affect the final character of the whisky.”

His goals against Senegal and Morocco both come into the discussion of goals of the tournament. France outscored their opponents 16-2, and his presence was the main reason for that.

3. Jude Bellingham, UK

With six goals, including goals in back-to-back knockout matches, and most recently a two-goal relief effort against Norway, even Erling Haaland tipped his hat. The 23-year-old is playing like the best attacking midfielder in existence, at exactly the moment England need him.

4. Harry Kane, UK

His six goals are enough to overtake Gary Lineker as England’s all-time leading scorer at a World Cup. The captain almost single-handedly led England to defeat Congo in the round of 32. He is coming off a club season in which he scored 61 goals for Bayern Munich. England and France are the only teams with two players scoring five or more goals.

5. Ousmane Dembele, France

The current Ballon d’Or winner had never scored a goal at a World Cup until this tournament. He currently has five goals, including a hat-trick in the first half against Norway in the group stage, and added another goal in the quarter-final against Morocco.

6. Julian Alvarez, Argentina

He scored a goal from outside the box in the 112th minute to defeat Switzerland in the quarter-finals. It was his latest appearance in a tournament filled with typical Argentinian moments. Big games keep finding him and he keeps answering.

7. Michael Orisse (France)

He led the tournament in assists and was a driving force behind the creativity behind the fireworks of Mbappe and Dembele. While they get the finishing highlights, Oliseh is the guy who sets them up.

8. Mikel Oyarzabal, Spain

They scored four goals as a pair and are Spain’s top scorer at this tournament. He played against Saudi Arabia in the group stage and against Austria in the round of 32. He is also the man who defeated England in the Euro 2024 final. Although he has a quiet reputation, he has great influence in Spain.

9. Lamine Yamal, Spain

Although he has scored one goal in all competitions, the 18-year-old remains stuck on the right flank and is constantly being toyed with by the defenders. He recovered from a hamstring injury and won two Most Valuable Player awards to prove the difference. He is clearly the top young player in the tournament.

10. Unai Simon, Spain

Favorite for the Golden Glove Award. Spain has conceded one goal throughout the tournament.

The company announced it will launch a 21-day event nationwide starting June 22, with the goal of “unearthing the oldest Bed Bath & Beyond coupons in existence,” according to a news release.

“For decades, the iconic blue 20% off coupon has been more than just a discount; it has become part of American culture,” the company said in a news release. “It was kept in wallets, file cabinets, kitchen drawers, glove compartments, scrapbooks, family memory boxes. Millions of customers kept it for years because they never knew when they would need it.”

Through July 13, customers can bring their Bed Bath & Beyond coupons to participating Bed Bath & Beyond, Container Store, and Kirkland’s Home locations nationwide. The company said all coupons will be honored and each coupon will serve as an entry into the hunt.

Coupons will be entered for a chance to win the grand prize, with one winner receiving a $100,000 home remodel. Customers can also win additional prizes: a $500 gift card to 100 winners and a $100 gift card to 50 winners.

Bed Bath & Beyond partners with The Container Store on new concept store

On June 18, Bed Bath & Beyond announced the opening of 22 new combined Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store stores nationwide. The stores will offer an assortment of bedding, bath, kitchen, entertainment and home goods for the former, and organizational options such as custom spaces and in-home services for the latter, according to a news release.

The store complex comes after The Container Store entered into a partnership to offer Bed Bath & Beyond products in its stores in 2024. The year before, Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed its physical stores.

However, the retailer’s products continued to be available online when Overstock.com purchased the brand’s intellectual property and launched a new website and mobile app. And in 2025, Bed Bath & Beyond acquired The Brand House Collective, formerly Kirkland’s. As part of the merger, some Kirkland stores became Bed Bath & Beyond stores.

One strategy is to look overseas. Five-star hotels abroad are often significantly cheaper than comparable hotels in the United States.

In some cases, favorable exchange rates, lower costs of goods and services, and demand can make foreign real estate more affordable for American travelers.

According to Hotels.com’s recently released 2026 Hotel Price Index, five-star hotels overseas cost an average of 23% less than their U.S. counterparts. The average nightly rate for a luxury stay abroad is $250, with some destinations less than $150 per night, while domestic five-star hotels average $370 per night.

There is no common standard for 5-star ratings, so quality may vary from country to country. However, this difference means you can expect superior service and amenities.

It’s the second year in a row that luxury stays abroad are cheaper, which is good news for 60% of Gen Z and 54% of Millennials who say they’re more interested in luxury stays this year than last.

“While fuel costs may dominate most of the conversation this summer due to volatile travel prices, the real trade-off travelers are making is hotel prices,” Melanie Fish, vice president of global PR and travel expert at Hotels.com, said in a statement. “Travelers may be feeling constrained, but they’re getting smarter. They can save up to 23% by booking closer, starting their stays on Sunday, and looking outside the U.S. where five-star hotels can offer great value. This summer, it’s not just where you go, but how you book, that matters.”
