Primark continues its rapid expansion in the US this month, with two more stores set to open in July as the international discount fashion retailer expands its footprint across the country.
The opening comes just weeks after the company opened another new store in Texas, highlighting the company’s efforts to reach more U.S. shoppers ahead of the busy back-to-school season.
“America’s continued ambition is something we are really proud of,” Primark US President Kevin Tulip said in a statement. “We know that Primark’s ability to offer high quality fashion at great prices is more important than ever to consumers today.”
Here’s a look at where the new stores will open and what shoppers can expect when they arrive.
Where will Primark’s new stores open?
Primark has announced that it will open its seventh store in Texas on July 16th at Willowbrook Mall in Houston. A week later, on July 23, the company will open its first Indiana store at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis.
The Houston store will be Primark’s second store in the Greater Houston region, while the opening in Indianapolis marks the company’s entry into Indiana as it continues to expand across the Midwest.
What shoppers can expect
The new store will sell a full range of Primark clothing, accessories and homewares at value-focused prices.
The retailer says shoppers can find women’s denim starting at $12, men’s T-shirts starting at $5, and children’s sweatshirts starting at $8. Customers in Texas will also be able to purchase merchandise featuring professional sports teams such as the Texans, Cowboys, Rockets and Spurs.
Customers can browse the products available online through the Primark website before visiting a store.
What is Primark?
Founded in 1969 in Dublin, Ireland, Primark is an international fashion retailer selling affordable clothing, accessories, beauty products and homewares. The company operates under the name Penneys in Ireland and entered the US market in 2015, opening its first US store in Boston.
Primark currently operates over 480 stores in 19 countries. In the United States, the retailer has been steadily expanding its store count, opening two stores in July for a total of 44 stores.
