Trump and Dana White at UFC Freedom 250
As UFC Freedom 250 officially begins, Trump and Dana White arrive cageside.
Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 saw fighters such as Ilya Topria and Justin Gaethje compete at the White House, and many notable figures were seen in the crowd, including President Donald Trump.
The event, held on Sunday, June 14, was attended by First Lady Melania Trump, UFC President and CEO Dana White, and Vice President J.D. Vance, in addition to 4,300 other people seated under a makeshift arena on the South Lawn.
A prominent family member was also in attendance: Pope Leo’s younger brother, Louis Prévost.
Since his brother’s historic election to the Holy See, Mr. Prevost has publicly supported Mr. Trump, with the president calling him “all MAGA” in a post on Truth Social.
“I like his brother Louis so much more than I do because Louis is a total MAGA,” Trump said in an April post. “He gets it, but Leo doesn’t!”
Mr. Prevost did not appear at the White House on Sunday. In May, the pope’s brother was invited to meet with President Trump in the Oval Office, where he was photographed with his wife standing next to the president and Vance, smiling.
story of two brothers
Despite President Trump’s good relationship with his older brother, Prevost, the president has a strained relationship with his younger brother, Leo.
One of the biggest clashes between the two sides came after President Trump threatened to destroy “an entire civilization” if Iran failed to meet an April deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz. In response to President Trump’s post, the Pope said the comments were “unacceptable.”
“As everyone knows, today there is a threat against the entire Iranian people, and this is truly unacceptable,” Leo said.
President Trump went on to call the American-born pope “soft on crime” and posted a photo of himself that appeared to be Jesus Christ.
Who is Louis Prevost?
Mr. Prevost, 74, is Leo’s eldest brother and has been vocal about his political views. The Florida resident described himself as the “black sheep of the family” on a December 2025 episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
During the episode, he also referred to himself as a “MAGA kind of guy.”
Prevost is four years older than Leo and two years older than his other brother, John Joseph Prevost, but said the brothers had a closer relationship. During the same appearance on Piers Morgan’s show, Prevost added that his long absences while serving in the U.S. Navy led to a lack of closeness with his brothers.
“I missed growing up with them. I think what they remember most is me hitting them all the time,” he said.
“It has trained us to be closer. We talk almost every day. I get to talk to my brother, the Pope, about once a week,” Prevost added.
