The truth is out there and it will be on toy shelves soon. LEGO is putting ‘The X-Files’ back in the spotlight with a new 1,478-piece set that lets fans build Fox Mulder’s office, investigate UFO sightings and revisit one of TV’s most iconic sci-fi dramas.
Part of LEGO’s Fan-Powered Ideas line, this collectible set recreates memorable scenes from the hit ’90s series and includes 8 minifigures, including Mulder, Dana Scully and the Gray Alien. The set, released with help from “The X-Files” star Gillian Anderson, will arrive in August and is sure to evoke nostalgia among longtime fans.
Brisbane-based 3D artist Brent Waller submitted an original concept through LEGO Ideas that could turn fan creations into official sets if there is enough support from the community.
“We wanted to combine nostalgia, detail, and storytelling to capture the feel of the show, from Mulder’s office to the woods to the UFO encounters,” Waller told LEGO in an interview.

Lego says the set recreates several iconic moments from the long-running sci-fi series, with a focus on detailed versions of Mulder’s office, a forest clearing, and a hovering UFO.

“The LEGO Ideas ‘X-Files’ set recreates iconic moments from the series, centering around detailed construction of Fox Mulder’s office combined with forest clearing scenes and a hovering UFO,” LEGO said in a news release.
Gillian Anderson helps unveil the set
Anderson, who played FBI agent Dana Scully throughout the series, called the production a celebration of the show and its enduring fan base.
“I never expected to follow in Scully’s footsteps and investigate LEGO sets…It was so much fun revisiting that world after so many years,” Anderson said in a statement.

This set retails for $199.99.
Fans who purchase this set between August 1st and August 10th will also receive a set purchase bonus called “The X-Files: Scully’s Laboratory.”
