Check out the Knicks’ miniature Lego victory parade
Legoland New York celebrated the Knicks’ historic NBA Finals victory with a brick-sized recreation of the New York Parade.
LEGO is expanding its Star Wars collection with a new model inspired by one of the series’ most iconic bounty hunters.
The company has announced LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett, a 1,544-piece display model based on the character’s appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Designed for builders ages 18 and older, this set measures over 16 inches tall and costs $169.99.
Verified IG account The Brick News, a page for LEGO enthusiasts, is sharing images of what the set will look like.
This figure features Boba Fett’s signature Mandalorian armor, rotating helmet rangefinder, jetpack, blaster, and cloth cloak. Builders can adjust the head, arms, and hands to create a variety of poses, and the finished model stands on a base inspired by the sands of Tatooine. The set also includes a matching Boba Fett minifigure displayed next to the information plate.
The toy is scheduled to go on sale on August 1st and joins Lego’s catalog of display sets aimed at adult fans of the Star Wars series.
Lego continues to expand its collection for adults
The new Boba Fett model reflects LEGO’s continued investment in products designed specifically for adult builders, which has become one of the company’s fastest growing segments in recent years.
More than 100 LEGO sets are currently available for adults, spanning pop culture franchises, architecture, plants, vehicles, and other collectibles. LEGO says the set aims to celebrate fans’ favorite movies, TV shows and hobbies while offering creative, hands-on experiences.
The Boba Fett figure is also compatible with LEGO’s “Build Together” mode in the LEGO Builder app, allowing friends and family to build together using multiple devices.
Why Lego sets for adults have become so popular
James Zahn, editor-in-chief of The Toy Book, told USA TODAY that adult enthusiasm for Lego is driven in part by nostalgia, with many builders reconnecting with the brands they loved as children.
He also noted that Lego’s expansion into licensed franchises such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel and DC has helped turn the company into a dominant company among collectors by offering detailed, display-worthy sets related to beloved entertainment properties.
Lego says many adults are also turning to architecture as a way to relax, unwind and express their creativity. Fans interviewed by USA TODAY say building intricate models is a heartwarming hobby that helps them disconnect from the demands of everyday life while creating collectibles to proudly display in their homes.
