Sen. Chris Coons was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries after a multi-vehicle accident in Delaware on Sunday, June 28, the senator announced on social media.

Coons was taken to Beebe Hospital in Lewes, Delaware, where he was treated for minor injuries, the senator said. No one was seriously injured.

“I am deeply grateful to the first responders including the Lewes Police Department, Lewes-Rehoboth Fire Department and Sussex County Emergency Medical Services for their quick and professional response, as well as the talented doctors and nurses at Beebe Hospital who provided excellent care,” Coons said on social media.
