A suspected sex offender and sex trafficker who has known President Donald Trump for more than two decades repeatedly referred to him in emails, according to documents released by Congressional Democrats.

Jeffrey Epstein mentioned the president in emails with fellow convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell and a person whose email address was Gmax, which may refer to journalist and biographer Michael Wolff.

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt dismissed the announcement as a “malicious effort to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments.”
