President Trump announces plans for White House helipad
President Trump said construction is underway on a new White House helipad, paid for by Sikorsky and bearing the presidential seal.
President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post dated July 6 that Walmart will lower prices on various products, including ground meat.
“This is a great deal for millions of Americans who shop wisely at Walmart, a truly patriotic company that loves America,” President Trump said. “Walmart is stepping up in big, bold ways, and other retailers should follow the lead of these absolute patriots.”
The move was confirmed by the supermarket chain in a July 6 news release, which said thousands of items would be marked down at both Walmart and Sam’s Club stores throughout the summer.
“Customers expect Walmart to deliver the value they need every day, and summer is no exception,” said Julie Barber, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart US.
The price of a pound of 73% ground meat rolls will drop 12%, from $6.74 to $5.94, Walmart said. At Sam’s Club, Member’s Mark 88/12 ground beef is down 3% from $6.17 to $5.97 per pound.
