In an exclusive interview, Vice President JD Vance shares how his son is fascinated by the redesign of President Donald Trump’s golden oval office.
The golden overhaul of President Donald Trump’s oval office is approved by the child.
In this case, the child just happens to be Vice President J.D. Vance’s 5-year-old son Vivek.
“His favorite colour is gold. And every time he enters an oval office, he has this bright, lively atmosphere that he was blown away by it,” Vance said in an exclusive interview with USA Today on August 27th.
“And I think it once again fits a place where leaders of the free world work every day,” Vance added.
Trump is to be sure to support Vivec’s favorite colours.
Since taking office in January, Trump has taken on a massive overhaul of his oval office. He added many golden accents to the room, including a fireplace, a golden mirror, and a golden applique to the ornate Rococo Style 18.th and 19th Century dessert stand and flower vase in the mantle location. The former president’s paintings are surrounded by ornate gold.
Gold foil in the dark
Vance said he was “overwhelmed” by the grandeur of history that was created there when he first visited the oval office after he and Trump took office, and the history that he was made there.
“But if I were honest, if it was the middle winter, the drape would have been closed. It was very dark,” Vance said in a wide range of interviews covering topics including Ukrainian Presidents Voldimi Zelensky, Taylor Swift Travis Kelse’s engagement, and his televised spat, including the president’s contrasting efforts. “It had a bit of a dark and gloomy feeling. It’s the workplace for leaders of the free world. It should be a bit bright.”
Trump’s White House transformation extends beyond the oval office. He is paved on the lawn of the Rose Garden with white stones. And he’s adding a 90,000 square feet of ballroom to the East Wing.
Vance believed he liked the renovation to his boss’s real estate background.
He said the president “evidently has his very distinctive style, and he has made billions of dollars to build beautiful buildings around the world.”
“What I really like about the oval office is that it’s brighter,” he said.
