Will “The Odyssey” be able to beat the summer blockbuster?
The big franchises still have the upper hand. But Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey could be this summer’s breakout movie.
Tom Holland not only has two summer blockbusters in the works, but he’s also launching a new limited edition Vero non-alcoholic beer soon.
Holland, who co-founded Bero in 2024, has appeared in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” starring Matt Damon (released July 17), and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” released July 31.
To celebrate “The Odyssey,” limited edition cans of Belo’s Noon Wheat Non-Alcoholic Beer with special packaging and a can design inspired by the movie are on sale now. The special 6-pack is available exclusively on the Bero website for $20 plus $5 shipping.
The six-pack packaging features a section of Vero can depicting a galley and her crew, reflecting the nautical aspect of the “Odyssey” story. The can depicts a floating ship with clouds above its sails. Below the Bero logo are the words “‘The Odyssey.’ Only in theaters. ”
“Good packaging tells a story. That was our approach from day one. We wanted the can to be unmistakably Vero, while still capturing the sense of adventure and discovery at the heart of Odyssey,” Jacopo Cinti, Vero’s creative director, told USA TODAY in a statement. “Every design choice is intentional and the result gives fans an experience beyond the screen while making both worlds feel authentic.”
In the film The Odyssey, Holland plays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus (Matt Damon). Holland’s partner Zendaya plays the goddess Athena.
A special launch to coincide with Odyssey could encourage more people to drink non-alcoholic beer. According to the Japan Beer Association, the share of non-alcoholic beer in total annual beer sales increased from about 0.6% in 2022 to 1.3% in 2025.
Tom Holland’s Belo brand also has summer shandies
Vero offers four flavors of non-alcoholic beers with less than 0.5% ABV: Kingston Golden Pils, Double Tasty West Coast Style IPA, Edge Hill Hazy IPA, and Noon Wheat. Beer has 70 to 90 grams of calories and 15 to 19 grams of carbohydrates.
In late May, Belo also launched a limited-edition shandy line featuring Kingston Golden Pils, lemonade, and other fruit flavors.
