The Russian captain involved in the US tanker accident admits he has not committed a crime in a UK court to manslaughter

The captain of a vessel that hit a US tanker off the east coast of England, pleaded not guilty in a London court on Friday to manslaughter charges for gross negligence over the death of a crew member during the collision.

59-year-old Russian state Vladimir Mochin was the captain of the Portuguese class that hit the Stena Immaculate tanker carrying military jet fuel on March 10th.

Motin was presumed to have died four days later, causing the death of Mark Pernia, 38, a Filipino national and Solon crew member four days later.

He appeared on Old Bailey on Friday by Videolink and pleaded not guilty to one count of gross negligence and manslaughter.
