Date:

Thursday, September 11th marks the 24th anniversary of the plane being plunged into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, in a terrorist act that killed nearly 3,000 people.

The event is scheduled for New York City, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon, and is a reminder of the day. You can watch the event live on the embedded video at the top of this page or on the USA Today YouTube channel. The live stream is scheduled to begin at 8:30am.

President Donald Trump is expected to attend an event held at the Pentagon.
