  • The Tesla Diner has 80 supercharged stoles.

  • CEO Elon Musk says the diner is the first of many people (if it has been proven to be successful).

Tesla is one of the most dynamic automakers in the industry, especially when it comes to the debut of innovative technology. The company produces electric vehicles and recently launched the Robotaxi service. We are also developing a humanoid robot named Optimus. Tesla has evolved into more than just an automaker. Tesla Diner is the latest in this clean energy and long surprise from EV pioneer.

Tesla’s California Diner is a retro-futastic diner that allows customers to charge and chew EVs. The diner opened the door at 4:20pm on July 21st and attracted a large crowd. So, what is the purpose of the diner and what does it help?

What is Tesla Diner?

Tesla Diner offers 24/7 dining and classic diner options, including burgers, fries, milkshakes and breakfast all day long. Tesla drivers can be ordered through the car’s infotainment system, and food is served in cyber truck-shaped boxes.

The Tesla Diner includes a whopping 80 supercharged stoles and solar canopies. It also features drive-in theater components with two 45-foot screens.

Elon Musk says the innovative diners continue to improve. Diner’s supercharged stole is available not only for Tesla models, but also for all North American charging standard compatible electric vehicles. Additionally, the diners are open to the public.

Are there more Tesla Diner locations coming to the US?

According to Musk’s X Post, Tesla will establish similar locations in “major cities around the world” if the first location is successful. The CEO calls it “delicious food, good atmosphere, an island of entertainment, all the supercharged.” Located at 7001 West Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

What does Tesla Diner mean for the EV space?

Tesla Diner is “the world’s largest city supercharger,” according to the company’s X-post. Tesla hosts one of the largest electric vehicle charging networks on the planet, with over 70,000 global superchargers. These chargers can replenish driving ranges of up to 200 miles in just 15 minutes.

Tesla’s supercharger network is so useful that several major automakers have partnered with the company to provide Tesla Supercharger compatibility to non-Tesla EV owners. This is net positive for the EV space, as it has a long way to go to charging North American infrastructure.

A Harvard Business School study found that EV drivers are “dissatisfied with the pricing model of EV charging stations.” Furthermore, research concluded that EV chargers are generally less reliable than gas stations, so Tesla’s supercharger network addresses a major problem for automakers looking to produce competitive EVs.
