Switzerland and Colombia will meet in the Round of 16 of the World Cup on Tuesday, July 7th at BC Place in Vancouver.

Switzerland defeated Algeria 2-0 in the round of 32. Briel Embolo scored his second goal of the tournament, while Dan Ndoye scored his first goal. In Group B, Switzerland defeated host country Canada and advanced to the final tournament. Johan Manzambi scored three goals for the team.

Colombia defeated Ghana 1-0 in the round of 16. John Arias scores his first World Cup goal. Before that, Colombia won Group K by defeating Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal. James Rodriguez, the 2014 Golden Boot winner, has not scored a goal, appearing in the second half and half-time of the last two games.

The Round of 16 matchup between Switzerland and Colombia has officially kicked off at Vancouver’s BC Place.
