Shohei Ohtani hit his 17th home run of the season on Monday as the Los Angeles Dodgers won four straight games.

The Japanese superstar blew a 389-foot shot to the left field at the bottom of six innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium, but was too late for the World Series champion.

Otani Homer led 7-2 in the evening for Arizona, but the D-back ultimately won 9-5.

Defeat is the Dodgers’ fourth consecutive, with the city’s rival, the Angels, one in Arizona.

Despite their poor results, Otani still shows his excellence on a daily basis, and his 17th home run in the season is the main positive of a disappointing night in California.

The existing NL MVP has one more homer with the Phillies than left fielder Kyle Schwarber. More than two were New York Yankees star Aaron Judge and Seattle Mariners’ Carla Ray who hit a massive 466-foot shot in the 9-3 victory in the Colorado Rockies in Philadelphia.

Otani (No. 17) shines despite the poor execution of the Dodgers' recent results.

Otani has 10 stolen basses so far this season.

On Monday night, Arizona’s Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Gabriel Moreno and Gerald Perdomo each hit two-run home runs, with right-handed pitcher Brandon Pfardoto giving up three runs and three hits before heading down the Dodgers.

Fans inside Dodgers Stadium were booed when they ran two home runs from Mookie Betts after the D-Backs took a 7-0 lead.

According to the official MLB website, Pfaadt has since said:

He added: “Credit for violating me for putting me in that position. I got out early and managed to attack the zone. Homer (3) Homer on six times, but that’s fine.

The Dodgers and Diamondbacks will play twice more in the next few days.
