Selena Gomez isn’t here for the drama, especially when it comes to BFF Taylor Swift.

The “Calm Down” singer set the record straight on a seemingly questionable statement she made after the New York Knicks’ victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, revealing that she woke up to “so many emails.”

“I never meant to insult my friend and it was not an insult. This comment was a response to the first slide on the page,” Gomez said.

Gomez’s comments follow a wave of speculation that she was throwing shade at Swift after she commented “lol” on a post shared by MTV on Instagram showing Swift and Mariska Hargitay hugging tightly after her win.

Gomez, a true San Antonio Spurs fan, added that he and his friends have bet on the outcome of games.

“I lost, but I was making fun of my opponents and my friends. Believe it or not, I have other friends. But quickly forget that most people think otherwise,” Gomez said. “Also… it’s a basketball game.”

Game 4 of the NBA Finals, “Celebrity Row” was packed

From Taylor Swift to Timothée Chalamet, Madison Square Garden’s Celebrity Row was packed with every big star you could think of.

Notably, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, Scooter Braun and Sidney Sweeney were among the 100 or so stars cheering the Knicks courtside.

However, all eyes were on Swift, who arrived at the Garden with her Haim sisters Alana and Este.

The trio wore “funny” T-shirts featuring the names of their Hollywood pals, tailored to incorporate the Knicks. Swift read “Stevie Nicks,” Este read “Nickelback,” and Alana read “Nickel Kidman.”
