The stars of HBO’s new hit series “Rivals” are taking on new roles in the celebrations leading up to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics.

Hudson Williams and Conor Storey have been selected to be among the torchbearers who will carry the Olympic torch, event organizers announced on Thursday, January 22, in collaboration with HBO Max, which holds the streaming rights to the 2026 Olympics in the United States and Europe.

The 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympic torch relay started across Italy last month and arrived in Venice on Thursday. The relay will conclude with the opening ceremony in Milan on February 6th. It has not yet been announced when or where Williams and Storey will serve as torchbearers.

Heat Rivalry is a series created by Canadian writer, director, and producer Jacob Tierney that premiered on HBO Max in November 2025. The show, which has already been renewed for a second season, follows two famous hockey players and rivals, played by Williams and Storey, as they compete on the ice and develop a long-time secret romantic relationship with each other.
