Pennsylvania State Falls, Alabama rises

  • The top five teams, including Oregon and Miami (Fla.) have not changed since the previous week.
  • Texas and Pennsylvania State fell sharply in their rankings following unexpected losses.
  • Virginia and Memphis are new additions to this week’s top 25 polls.

As I have said many times, there’s nothing like a late week in college football. Some unexpected results sent a considerable shockwave through polls of US LBM coaches.

However, the top five has not been changed, led by No. 1 Ohio State. The Buckeyes passed Minnesota and won 59 of the 66 votes this week. The second Oregon, who took a weekend off, was first selected by three voters. No. 3 Miami (Fla.) also won three No. 1 nods after terrifying the Archdiocese of Florida. Mississippi has also finished their open dates, with home winners against Mississippi, Texas A&M continuing to round out the top five, with the Aggies claiming their final No. 1 vote.

Top 25: After the 6th week, we will complete the LBM Coaches Poll Story.

The change starts in sixth place thanks to the Great Barbulls of Pennsylvania and Texas. Oklahoma inherits the sixth spot on the eve of the Red River Showdown against the Longhorns, who will fall into 12th place after a loss in Florida. Indiana has taken several positions to check in at No. 7 on a trip to Oregon on the deck. Alabama returns to the top 10 at No. 8 after his death to Vanderbilt last season, followed by Georgia and Texas Tech.

Pennsylvania is unsure of UCLA, which has not been previously won and is currently ranked 22nd.

Virginia will win its second overtime victory in a few weeks, and will be playing the ballot on No. 24. Memphis was the first team to reach six wins to qualify for the bowl, and placed 25th and pushed out Utah, who held the final rankings in the previous poll. Florida is another dropout of the week.
