Oklahoma director threatens to suspend teachers who “pologise” for Charlie Kirk’s death
Oklahoma’s public leadership superintendent Ryan Walters “celebrating or praise” his teacher on Wednesday, September 10th, killing Charlie Kirk at a college event in Orem, Utah.
Republican Oklahoma public leadership superintendent Ryan Walters has stepped down from leading a new conservative organisation committed to the union of opposing teachers.
Walters, who leads the state’s public schools, told Fox News on Wednesday, September 24th that he will become CEO of the Teacher Freedom Alliance (TFA) starting October 1st.
“We’re going to destroy the teachers’ union,” Walters said. “We’ve seen teachers’ unions use their money and power to destroy and undermine schools.”
According to a July survey by Woletob, Oklahoma ranked 50th out of 51 states for education, but only New Mexico fell low.
TFA confirmed the arrival of Walters as CEO in a post from X, previously known as Twitter, and calls it a fearless fighter against “Woke Mob.”
“The TFA fights straight for unions and we won’t stop. Together we will build a national movement that focuses on freedom and common sense, not bullying or intimidation,” Post said.

Since being elected director in 2022, Walters has proposed and implemented a controversial move to include “educational support for the curriculum” for 5th to 12th grade “as leadership support for the curriculum.”
According to Oklahoman, part of the USA Today Network under Walters’ Watch, the state’s Department of Education has developed new social science standards that include multiple references to Christianity along with unreliable theories about the 2020 presidential election.
Recently, Walters has reiterated his goal of establishing a Turning Point USA chapter at all high schools in Oklahoma.
“I think it’s essential that America’s future continues this mission,” said Walters, who ordered the school to honor Charlie Kirk after the September 10th murder, according to Oklahoman.
