Nordstrom plans to expand its footprint in 2026, opening at least 14 new Nordstrom Rack stores in 10 U.S. states.

Opening dates have not yet been confirmed, but Nordstrom told USA TODAY via email that it plans to open in Florida, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia and Ohio next year.

The past year has been full of change for Nordstrom. In December 2024, the company was acquired by the Nordstrom family and Mexican department store chain El Puerto de Liverpool for $6.25 billion.

The deal was ultimately completed in the first half of this year, with the Nordstrom family owning 50.1% and Liverpool acquiring the remaining 49.9%, the company said.
