WASHINGTON – Future press conferences with the victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein could be “explosive.”

D-California MP Ro Khanna said the victim’s accounts would force the Justice Department to vote for a bill that requires the release of the file.

Rep. Khanna and R-Kentucky Thomas Massie – who is co-leading the effort – requires 218 signatures to make it happen.

With all 212 Democrats supporting the effort, there are only six Republicans who need to sign on, Khanna said NBC’s “meet the media with Kristen Welker.”

“What’s explosive is that both of us were with 10 Epstein victims, and many people have never spoken to us before,” Kanna said in a statement aired on August 31.

He said at a press conference planned for the Capitol Steps, “it has clearly told the American public that they want the Epstein Files to be released for the complete closure on this issue.”

The Epstein controversy created a division between President Donald Trump and his Magazine base. His supporters pushed back the Republican administration’s attempts to close Epstein’s book after helping Trump and his supporters raise expectations for a massive hit revelation.

The House Oversight Committee is summoning the real estate of the late filing company to explore the mismanagement of a federal investigation involving Epstein and his ex-girlfriend Githraine Maxwell.

Epstein died of suicide in a federal prison in New York in 2019, waiting for federal charges related to sex trafficking, but sparked anger and theory about anyone who knew or was involved in the sex ring he allegedly ran with Maxwell’s support. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
