Understanding the grief and health concerns behind celebrity deaths
The death of a celebrity often triggers collective mourning and, for some, serious health concerns. Here’s why it happens and how to take care of yourself.
John Davis, who posted videos of himself cooking with his mother every day on his social media account Coffee Time with John and Momma, has passed away. He was 55 years old.
Davis died on Wednesday, June 10, at his home in Jericho, Tennessee, according to an online obituary.
According to an incident report obtained by People, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a “man who stopped breathing,” and Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
TMZ was first to report the news. USA TODAY has reached out to the sheriff’s office and Davis’ family for comment.
Davis is survived by his mother, Frances Davis, who co-starred in the Kitchen video. The duo boasts 215,000 followers on Facebook and 8,000 subscribers on YouTube.
According to social media posts, John Davis experienced a medical event during the June 10 livestream, but the event is no longer visible on Coffee Time’s social pages.
The last livestream, which took place on June 9, is still available and showed a mother and son making a tomato parm dish with ranch dressing for lunch.
