Jimmy Kimmel is giving his take on why Melania Trump suddenly addressed her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday, April 9th.

During a monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the comedian questioned the timing of the first lady’s press conference, which came days after President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

“He spent the last six weeks blowing this Epstein story off the headlines. Two days after the ceasefire, she put this Epstein story back on top again,” Kimmel said.

“She must really hate him. I don’t know how else to explain it,” he added.

Kimmel is known as a critic of the president, criticizing President Trump’s response to the Iran war. The late-night host earlier this week slammed President Trump’s threat to kill “an entire civilization” in Iran.

Melania Trump denounced what she called “lies” and “false slander” about her relationship with Epstein at a press conference on April 9, adding that she was not friends with the convicted sex offender and had no knowledge of his crimes.

‘Big surprise’: Jimmy Kimmel addresses Melania Trump’s comments about Epstein

Kimmel called Melania Trump’s speech a “huge surprise” and joked that she “emerged from the rubble of the East Tower” to deliver her comments about Epstein.

“She brushed off the drywall of her business suit and lazily issued a prepared statement telling people to stop talking about things no one else was talking about,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel also responded to Melania Trump’s claim that “numerous false images and statements about Epstein and me have been calculated on social media over the years.”

The host addressed allegations of sexual contact between President Trump and adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

“This is the same speech he gave her after Stormy Daniels. She’s just regurgitating it,” Kimmel said. “But the bigger question is, what kind of images are calculating around social media? What is she saying? And I don’t see any images at all.”
