Crowds holding Iranian and American flags celebrated in Manhattan on Sunday, March 1, after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in a joint US-Israeli attack on Iran. Footage posted on Instagram by @nargeszp shows a euphoric crowd cheering and dancing before marching into Times Square. Similar celebrations were held in Washington, D.C., and London, England, among other cities around the world, and were preceded by protests in New York condemning President Donald Trump’s attack on Iran.
