Halle Berry is ready to get married.

The Oscar-winning actress, 59, appeared on “The Tonight Show” on Thursday and revealed that she is engaged to her longtime partner Van Hunt.

Berry told host Jimmy Fallon that fans misunderstand her relationship. “There’s confusion because he asked me to marry him and I said no,” Berry said. “That’s not true.”

She continued, “I didn’t say ‘no’. I just don’t have any plans for a date. Of course I said yes, I would marry him.”

Berry then reached out and surprised Fallon with what can only be described as a multi-carat sparkler.

“He put a little ring on it,” she joked.

Berry and Hunt have been dating for five years and first made their relationship public in 2020.

If she and Hunt successfully marry, it will be Berry’s fourth marriage. The “Monster’s Ball” actress was married to former MLB player David Justice from 1993 to 1997. Next was singer and actor Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005, and finally Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016.

Singer Hunt has been divorced once.

Berry previously spoke passionately about her relationship with Hunt on a 2024 appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends.

“We’ve been together for five years, so this is like the longest relationship I’ve ever had,” Berry said. “When you find your person, you find your person. And now, I’ve finally found my person.”

She went on to explain how she was adopted by Hunt in 2020 by Hunt’s older brother, who worked for Respyn, a company focused on menopause care. They forged friendships while socially distancing, Berry explained.

“Even before we were physically together, just talking and talking and sharing everything, we just fell head over heels in love,” she said.
