Five Guys is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new burger promotion.

Fast food chains are making a comeback The buy-one-get-one burger deal will begin on March 9 and end on March 12, according to a news release.

This follows last month’s BOGO deal, which sparked backlash as the company said it had “underestimated” the overwhelming response. Five Guys said in a statement on February 18 that some stores had run out of food and had to close, and some customers were unable to redeem their deals through the app or online.

Five Guys also apologized to both customers and staff, saying, “We are truly sorry that we were unable to meet your and our expectations.” To show its appreciation to its employees, the company is giving them an estimated $1.5 million in bonuses.

How to get the latest Five Guys BOGO deals

In its most recent announcement, posted on March 9, the burger joint is asking fans to try again, saying, “Our team has been working hard to restock fresh products and prepare for the first time.”

Customers can only redeem deals on FiveGuys.com or the Five Guys app using code FGAFTERPARTY. Buy a regular priced burger and get a second burger of equal or lesser value free. This promotion is not valid for in-store orders.

“We were truly humbled by your response,” founder Jerry Murrell said in a statement. “Forty years is a long time, but the outpouring of support we received on our 40th birthday reminded us why we love what we do.”
