Costco members lined up on Friday, January 30th for limited edition sneakers in collaboration with Nike SB Dunk. Some may have bought it, but others may end up paying hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to buy it from a third-party seller.
According to Complex and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the coveted sneakers were sold at Costco stores in New York, Oregon, California, and Washington state. The Kirkland Signature x Nike SB Dunk Low is priced at $135, but third-party seller websites like StockX, eBay, and Goat sell for between $400 and $5,000.
Multiple social media accounts and YouTubers, including DNA Show and Jack Slade, posted clips of long lines at participating Costco stores.
DJ Willingham of the DNA Show said he arrived at his local Costco at 9 a.m. PT and encountered a line of people waiting for shoes. But he said wholesale retailers “executed (the decline) perfectly.”
Will Costco’s Kirkland Nike SB Dunk be back in stock?
It’s unclear if Costco’s Kirkland Nike SB Dunk will be restocked or released more widely. USA TODAY reached out to Nike and Costco on Saturday, January 31st, but did not receive a response.
What is the Kirkland Nike SB Dunk at Costco?
According to WWD and Complex, the exclusive Nike SB Dunk is inspired by Kirkland’s signature sweatshirt. The shoe features a heather gray cotton upper, with the Kirkland logo appearing on the lateral heel, and the medial tongue tag resembling a Costco shopping label.
Additionally, the insole features a Kirkland graphic, and Costco’s popular $1.50 hot dog label is hidden on the underside of the insole. Also included is a removable tag that recreates the Costco Executive Membership Card.
This sneaker collaboration was scheduled to be released during the 2025 holiday season. However, Complex reports that neither Nike nor Costco have confirmed a release date, leading to rumors that the product may be discontinued.
