Chris Paul’s return to the LA Clippers didn’t go as expected. He shared his reaction after his former team’s disappointing performance in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday, April 15th.

The Clippers parted ways with the 40-year-old guard in December 2025, but Paul clearly continued to keep an eye on the team in the months that followed.

He shared his famous meme of a man in funeral clothes shortly after the Clippers’ season-ending 126-121 loss to the Golden State Warriors on April 15.

Paul was officially traded to the Toronto Raptors on February 5th as part of a three-team trade. He was waived by the Raptors and retired on February 13th. A 12-time All-Star, Paul spent 21 years in the NBA, including parts of seven seasons with the Clippers.

He played in 16 games this season, averaging 2.9 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game.

The Clippers finished the regular season with a record of 42 wins and 40 losses, placing them in third place in the Pacific Division.
