Abilene, Texas restaurant has stopped offering something special about military appreciation, but is looking for alternative ideas.

Abilene has air base dyes.

Chick-Fil-A restaurant operator Brian Lacroix said the fast food chain would no longer offer military appreciation special.

“Our home office has released new standards for marketing and promotional events that we are permitted to do in our community,” Lacroix said in a Facebook video last week. “Unfortunately, we are no longer able to do anything special about the military appreciation we have been here in Abilene, Texas.”

The promotion was then over.

“Sorry, but we can’t continue to continue to respect that,” he said. “I am excited and encouraged to return to the drawings to understand the creative ways we can love men, women and families who serve this wonderful country. I would like to thank you for your understanding and thank you to everyone who has served this amazing country.”

People have commented on social media videos, including ways to replace promotions, and ideas for payment.
