Kevin Federline speaks with USA TODAY’s Ralphie Aversa about his memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which details his relationship with Britney Spears.

“I can’t wait… Hello beautiful Ivy (sic)… I just want to hug you, my love… Godspeed, friend,” Britney, 44, added about Jamie Lynn’s second daughter.

USA TODAY has reached out to Jamie Lynn’s representative for comment.

Britney Spears’ relationship with her family has been strained for years, amid a 14-year conservatorship initiated by her father, Jamie Spears. Although the conservatorship ended in 2021, Britney publicly criticized her family for their involvement in and failure to contribute to the end of the conservatorship.

Jamie Lynn, 34, denies the accusations, but the sisters are at loggerheads over the issue. In 2022, after Jamie Lynn Spears gave an interview in which she talked about conservatorship while promoting her memoir, Britney Spears responded, claiming that her sister was selling her book “at my expense.” Jamie Lynn Spears quickly responded with a comment echoed in her book that her sister was “in danger” for claiming she was being abused.

“My aunt’s vague and disparaging posts have made it increasingly difficult to explain to my eldest daughter why our family continues to receive death threats,” Jamie Lynn said at the time.
