Can young people afford to buy a house? How is it making it work?

Many young people feel crushed when they think about their ability to buy a home, but that doesn’t mean they are giving up on their dreams.

The average age of first-time home buyers rose to an all-time high of 38 last year. According to the National Association of Realtors, first-time home buyers share has sunk to a record low of 24% in a market where the baby boomers are capable of paying in cash.

In this reality, I feel that young people are jealous. More than six 10th Generation Z and millennial non-homeowners said they were jealous of the friends who bought the house, according to a new BMO survey. Despite their desires, 61% of non-operating owners said they had less confidence in owning them than they were at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and over half said they felt they had missed their opportunity.

There’s no wonder why. According to Realtor.com’s monthly housing market trends report, thanks to mortgage rates, high home prices and home prices, Americans need to make around 70% more than they did six years ago.

Paul Dilda, head of BMO’s US Consumer Strategy, said current economic and market uncertainties have not helped reduce the difficulties in the home buying process. With relatively high interest rates, sustained inflation and increased housing costs, he has created what he calls a “complete storm” for first-time buyers.

“At other times it was probably easy. Lower inflation, lower housing costs, lower rates made it easier, and perhaps people just transitioned.

But now he said that if you want to own a home, it’s more important than ever to have a solid plan.

To buy a home at a national median price of $431,250, Realtor.com estimates that households need to make around $114,000 each year. It assumes that a 30-year fixed mortgage, a 20% down payment, and the traditional wisdom that buyers should not spend more than 30% of their total income on the home.

Some young people feel that homeownership is not included in their cards, while others have gained financial assistance from relatives to make that big purchase. Others ignore the odds, such as relocating retirements, co-purchases, and mortgages, and are considering unconventional ways to make it happen.

What about young people who buy homes?

Annakate Nottonson, 24, and Kaylynn St. Peters, 28, are among a small number of people who bought their homes in their early 20s. They both consider their purchases as “starter homes.”

Nottonson works in technology consulting and as a fitness trainer, but says that her overall annual income is under $100,000. Her family helped her go to college, but she bought her own house this year. She bought a two-bedroom, two-bath house in North Carolina for $395,000, and paid a 3% down payment and a $10,000 grant from a loan officer. She paid between $7,000 and $10,000 for the closure fee.

“When you cut 3%, you’re not getting the best deal. That’s just a fact,” Notonson said. “But at the end of the day, if you calculate the numbers, you can see that my mortgage payments I had with my roommate are still lower than what I was paying for in rent, and that’s heading towards me and this asset.”

St. Peters bought a one-bedroom, one-bath house in Illinois in 2019 for $120,000. Her grandfather co-signed for the mortgage and helped with a 20% down payment.

She’s not alone. Of the BMOs surveyed, 60% of Gen Z and 57% of millennials who bought the home said they couldn’t have done it without family support.

“If I hadn’t had any family, I think I would have just been ignorant,” St. Peters said. “Other generations of Z people say, ‘Well, I don’t have that money. It seems really intimidating. I don’t have the business of buying a house.”

Other ways youth can plan to achieve homeownership

Those who are not helping relatives are considering creative alternative paths to buying a home, the report found. Approximately 57% of Gen Z and 54% of Millennials say they buy with friends and family.

Gen Z is also considering mortgages for retirement, with 45% of future buyers planning to pull away from the 401(k) for down payments.

Young people are also willing to sacrifice their place and buy homes that are not ready to achieve homeownership. More than six in ten people can buy Fixer Uppers, and more than half are willing to move to another state or country to buy a home, the survey found.

Another recent study by property management company Evernest ranks Minnesota as the most desirable state for young people who buy real estate, with 50.8% of people under the age of 35 owning a home there.

Utah and West Virginia also ranked high on the list, providing the highest average income for young adults and cheapest homes for sale, respectively.

What are the things that young people do not buy?

However, home purchase, It’s not for everyone.

According to BMO research, the attention of homeowners can focus elsewhere.

Of those with children, 57% said they prioritized education and childcare payments. At 54%, most millennials reported that they believe savings for retirement are more important. Half of Gen Z said they were more focused on car savings.

Other young Americans are waiting for their borrowing costs to go down. Over two-thirds of Gen Z and Millennials support a decline in mortgage rates.

Also, buying a starter home is a common way to achieve homeownership, but 66% of Z and 61% of millennial renters found that buying one in a few years to upgrade to a larger home “no longer” in a BMO survey. Instead, they want to buy a home that can stay for a long time..

Storms, wildfires and floods are also nervous about buying a home. The survey says 65% of Z and 55% of millennials are concerned about climate risk factors, and that it will affect where they live.

And some may want to spend their money on other efforts.

“Homeownership is a huge expense and ‘Are you doing this because that’s what I want? Or was it what I was told?’ said Jack Howard, director of Money Wellness at Ally Financial. “If you want to travel around the world, the ownership of the home may not be.”

Taiwanese President Rai Qingte holds a rally before China’s training

KAOSHON, Taiwan, May 16 (Reuters) – Taiwanese President Lai Qingte offered support and encouragement to the military on Friday ahead of the government’s warning that it would be a new round of Chinese military exercises near the island from next week.

A senior government spokesperson cannot rule out China’s “treat” more military training in Taiwan on Thursday to “stoke trouble” around the first anniversary of Tuesday.

China called Lai a “separatist” and rejected his multiple offers of consultations. Lai rejects China’s sovereignty claims to be an island governed entirely from democracy, saying that only the Taiwanese people can decide their future.

Lai visited Army engineers and anti-submarine helicopter crews at a base in the southern part of Kao Sion and thanked them for their efforts before the traditional Dragon Boat Festival at the end of the month.

Army engineers and naval anti-submarine aviation commanders are “the foundation of the military power of the National Army” and are also essential to the overall defense strategy,” he told a group of helicopter crews during lunch at Zuoying Naval Base in Kaohsiung.

“It is only for your hard work and dedication that your army will continue to flourish and that the people of our nation can live and work in peace and happiness,” he added. “Let’s work together to protect national security.”

Lai, who has not directly mentioned China or the possibilities of more training, was accompanied by two of his most senior defense secretaries, Wellington Ku and Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Joseph Wu.

China’s Ministry of Defense and the Taiwan Issues Agency said this week that Lai is a “Taiwan Strait Crisis Maker” that will increase hostility and conflict and undermine peace and stability.

Last month, China held a war game around Taiwan called the code “Strait Thunder-2025a.”

China was called the “Kyo-Sword” drill in May 2024, and was held shortly after Lai took office, and in October of that year, the “Kyo-Sword-2024b” was performed.

New Jersey traffic engineer attacks after agency officials quit speaking

Woodland Park, N.J. — A New Jersey transit engineer left his job and halted the agency’s train services across the Garden State at 12:01am on May 16th, after agency officials resigned from the contract meeting.

New Jersey’s transit bus service remains open and statewide, with agents planning to increase bus capacity during strikes.

Mark Wallace, the national president of locomotive engineer and train brotherly love, confirmed his decision to strike. He said New Jersey transport officials had escaped from negotiations at 10pm on May 15th.

“This is at the feet of the NJ Transit,” said General Tom Haas, who represents the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

The New Jersey Transportation website said early May 16th that “a strike by locomotive engineers and locomotive engineers represented by the Brotherhood of Train (BLET) has now resulted in all NJ Transit Rail Services being suspended.”

The results follow a five-year standoff between New Jersey Transit and locomotive engineers for renewing a contract that expired on December 31, 2019.

The two sides are at odds over wages, and engineers say engineers should earn similar wages to what they make on Amtrak, Long Island Railroad and Metro North. They say New Jersey Transit could put other railroad engineers at risk.

The last stoppage was in 1983. This is because the agency took over control of the railway system and lasted for 34 days. In 2016, locomotive engineers were hours away from the suspension when they attacked an agreement with the agency and avoided a strike.

We’ll discuss it at the negotiation table

NJ Transit CEO Kris Kolluri said both sides spoke late on May 15th and were not away from the table. However, he said the structure of the transaction would cause similar increases so that other unions at the agency “I too” would cause clauses.

He said the National Mediation Committee is willing to talk to both sides to resume consultations.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said he and Kolli were not surprised by the strike decision, but that he and Kolli were ready to resume consultations. He said both sides need to reach a final deal that is fair to engineers but affordable for New Jersey commuters and taxpayers as well.

Haas said the union proposed concessions to achieve cost savings through changing job rules and adjusting healthcare benefits, but New Jersey transport officials did not take it.

New Jersey Transportation Authority has offered the same salary increases that it agreed by other unions at the agency, and says that if they agree more for the engineers, they must provide it to other collective bargaining units. New Jersey’s transport officials said it was a cost, which would force a significant increase in fares, a rise in the state’s corporate business tax, or a dramatic cut in services.

Tensions have risen in the past few weeks after locomotive engineers overwhelmingly terminated their interim agreement in March. The two parties were summoned to Washington by the National Mediation Committee on May 12 to hear both sides about where negotiations were located.

Since then, both sides have been at the negotiation table trying to reach a solution.

Alternative New Jersey Transit Bus Options

New Jersey Transit’s statewide transportation network serves approximately 350,000 passengers a day. It is pushed beyond that limit to accommodate local commuters who rely on rail, bus and light rails.

If there are no 12 railway lines from the agency, starting May 19th, weekday customers will expand their bus service on routes that reflect several railway lines. Additionally, four parks and ride options are available during peak hours from Secaucus Junction, PNC Bank Arts Center, Hamilton Rail Station and Woodbridge Center.

Additional options include pass, amtrak, ferries and other private buses.

New Jersey Transit’s emergency response plan costs at least $4 million a day, but is expected to accommodate only around 20% of typical railroad riders. Agency officials encourage people who can work from home to do so.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta: At the forefront of organ transplantation, patients are pioneers

The transplant story has always been a altruism. After all, organs cannot be sold or purchased. They can only donate as a gift of life.

This story began in 1954 when Dr. Joseph Murray undertook the world’s first successful organ transplant at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston between his fellow twin brothers Ronald and Richard Herrick. Richard was released from the US Coast Guard after being diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease, and his same twin brother, Ronald, was a happy donor. They didn’t work for sure, but the transplant gave Richard another eight years of life.

When Ronald passed away in 2010, Dr. Murray recalled him in a statement published in the American Transplant magazine, saying, “We must never forget that he not only saved the life of his brother Richard, but also paved the way for thousands of transplant recipients around the world.”

This same spirit is pushing the burgeoning field of xenografts, the practice of using animal organs for human transplantation.

Over the past two years I have spoken with surgeons, genetic engineers and patients. The patient has given me hope to use genetically modified pig donors to end the organ shortage crisis. In the US alone, there are over 100,000 people waiting for an organ at any time. Most of them require kidneys. Every day, the 17 people on that list die and just wait.

“This paradigm where someone has to die to live is a broken paradigm. It doesn’t work,” said Dr. Robert Montgomery, director of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute. As both a transplant surgeon and a heart transplant recipient, he knows how to make waiting times painful. That’s why he is relentlessly pushing through new sources of organs.

“We need a sustainable and renewable organ source from something other than human, as fewer than 1% of people who die each year die in a way that can even be considered organ donors,” Dr. Montgomery told me.

In many ways, the idea of using pigs is not too far away. After all, we have been using pig heart valves since the 1970s to replace human valves. The drugs heparin and insulin were originally derived from pigs. Pig organs are a pretty good match for us as they are similar in size to humans. And our long history of breeding them and the ability to become large in just under four months will make them a reliable, stable, and rapid source of organs.

More recent developments in CRISPR and genetic engineering have truly accelerated the field of xenografting. Scientists can modify pig DNA to allow their organs to be more compatible with human transplants and control rejection, growth and possible viruses.

But like Herrick Brothers, all this intelligent science requires a pioneering patient who, despite the unknown, tries to take a chance and raise his hand.

Tim Andrews, 66, was on dialysis for two years. He suffered from end-stage kidney disease and it was very unlikely that he would receive a transplant due to his rare blood type. Doctors could have found a match at just 9% within the next five years. It was nearly 50% chance that he would be completely dropped from the list in the same period due to illness or death.

Dialysis was worn so much on Tim that he resigned to the idea that he might literally die in a dialysis chair.

For people who have not been on dialysis, it can be difficult to understand how tough it is, both mentally and physically. But think about it like this. Our kidneys are constantly operating and filter blood 24/7. The dialysis machine tries to do all that work, but compresses it every time, 3-4 days a week. Tim’s body was stressed and he suffered a heart attack six months after he began dialysis.

When he learned that the hospital’s Massachusetts General Hospital had performed its first experimental pig kidney xenograft, he said he had to give doctor Dr. Leonard Riera a chance.

He knew there was a great deal of uncertainty about the outcome of the transplant, but Tim moved forward. When I visited Tim and his wife, Karen, at my home in Concord, New Hampshire, he told me, “It may shorten your life, but you’re going to do something for humanity. And I, that’s all.

At the time, 53-year-old Towana Rooney was the only person in the world who could understand what Tim was thinking. Twenty-five years ago, Towana had donated one of her kidneys to her mother, but two years later she developed pre-ecchiosis during her pregnancy, causing her to suffer damage to the remaining kidneys. Like Tim, she rarely found a match right away in her case due to her high antibodies. She had been on strict dialysis for eight years before undergoing a transplant at NYU Langone in November 2024. Dr. Montgomery was her transplant surgeon. Her life has been transformed, and when I saw this vibrant woman talking about her experiences on stage, I was amazed at how healthy she was. Then Dr. Montgomery said to me, “She wants to start a revolution.”

In April this year, Towana had to remove her kidneys after developing an infection that was unrelated to the organ that needed to lower her immunosuppressive regimen. At the time, she lived with genetically modified pig organs for 130 days, the longest recorded period ever.

In a statement, Towana said: “I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to participate in this incredible study. For the first time since 2016, I spent time with friends and family without planning dialysis treatments.

These are still early days, so there are ups and downs, but in science, like life, you learn from failure as much as success. Each step has been built on lessons learned from previous patient pioneers, such as David Bennett and Lawrence Faucette. They both received pig hearts and lived for another six to eight weeks. Rick Slayman and Lisa Pisano received their pig kidneys in 2024, and both lived around two months after the procedure. In each case, their stories taught scientists valuable and transformative lessons about the field of xenotransplantation.

This spring I had the opportunity to visit with Brittany Rydel, daughter of Lisa Pisano. She told me, “My mother was always caring for others, and one of the first things she said to me was, “Even if this doesn’t work for me, I can work for someone else.” And I know, I might need a kidney someday.

The baton of altruism and hope was once again conveyed.

Often, it is scientists and researchers who are recognized, and for good reason. After all, xenograft stories are possible for Nobel Prize-winning discoveries such as transplantation, gene editing, cloning, IVF, immunology and more. As Dr. Montgomery told me, “We certainly stand on the shoulders of the giant.”

But the real giants that advance this field are patients who bravely step into the unknown for the benefit of all of us.

Remove Red Dye 40 from Menu Item: In-n-out: Which

The California fast food staple announced several changes to its menu items, removing the food dye red 40, especially from pink lemonade.

In a Facebook post, the burger chain said it had replaced the red dye 40 with beta-carotene and vegetable juice in strawberry shakes and “signature pink lemonade.”

The company confirmed changes to the statement provided to USA Today on May 15th.

“We strive to have the best in all areas and be the best. It has been my family’s priority since 1948 and my priorities today,” Lynsi Snyder, owner and president of IN-N-Out Burger, said in a statement.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Food and Drug Administration announced their “mutual understanding” with the food industry in April. In-N-Out did not refer to the so-called agreement in its statement.

The company also said ketchup is moving to sugar using high fructose corn syrup and is studying oil options for fries.

This is not the first time IN-N-Out has made changes to its products over the years. Previous changes mentioned in Facebook posts include:

What is the danger of Red Dye 40?

The Cleveland Clinic points out that the effects of red dye 40 require further research, but some studies link artificial food dyes, such as red dye 40, to hyperactivity, including ADHD.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, side effects related to food dye consumption include:

Hyperactivity including ADHD

Changes in behavior, like irritability and depression

Allergic reactions

Hives and asthma

sneeze

Watery eyes

Skin irritation

Migraine

However, red dyes are usually used in conjunction with other food additives that can lead to symptoms, so the exact cause of certain side effects is unknown, says Cleveland Clinic.

Ukraine – Russia direct peace negotiations in Istanbul

ISTAMBUL, May 16 (Reuters) – Negotiators from Russia and Ukrainian were in Istanbul on Friday as they were billed as the first direct peace talks in over three years under pressure from President Donald Trump to end Europe’s most deadly conflict since World War II.

The expected encounter at the Dolmabath Palace in Boshols will be a sign of diplomatic progress on the fighting sides who have not met face-to-face since March 2022, the month after the Russian invasion.

Hopes for an already low major breakthrough were even more dented when Trump said on Thursday that he would not have made any move without his encounter with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump said he will return to Washington after finishing his Middle East tour and meet the Russian leader on Friday “as soon as we can set it up.”

In Istanbul, Reuters reporters saw the first vehicles arriving at the talks venue, which includes white minibuses and several black cars.

Putin proposed a direct meeting with Ukraine in Turkey on Sunday, but spurred the challenge from Ukrainian President Voldimia Zelenki, sending a team of middle-class officials in consultation instead.

Zelensky said the decision to send what is called a “decorative” lineup rather than Putin attended, showing that Russian leaders were not serious about ending the war. Russia accused Ukraine of “trying to appear on the show” around the talk.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also flew to Istanbul on Friday, told reporters the night before that there was unlikely a major breakthrough based on the level of the negotiation team.

“I hope I’m wrong. I hope I’m 100% wrong. I hope I say tomorrow they agreed to a ceasefire. They agreed to enter into serious negotiations. But honestly, I’m just giving you my rating.”

Russia says it sees the talks as a continuation of negotiations held in Istanbul in the early week of the war in 2022.

However, the conditions under discussion will then be at a very disadvantage for Kiev when Ukraine was still shaking from the first Russian invasion. They included Moscow’s demand for a massive reduction in the size of the Ukrainian army.

With the Russian army now ruled Ukraine’s closest to fifth, Putin is rapidly holding to his long-standing demands that Kiev give up his territory, abandon his NATO membership ambitions and become a neutral nation.

Diddy overdose and was hospitalized in 2012, Cassie Ventura testifies

On the third day of testimony, Kathy Ventura Fine revealed the scope of her and Sean’s “Diddy” Combs’ drug use over the course of 10 years.

Cross-examination of Ventura Fine, one of Anna Estevao, one of Combs’ lawyers, revealed that she had overdose of painkillers in 2012. Estebao asked if Ventura recalls the overdose, and Ventura placed the incident around the same time Whitney Houston passed away on February 11, 2012.

Ventura Fine recalls that they had “freak-off” that night and went to a sex club in San Bernardino, California. She says that Combs later went to a party at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, but she went home.

The comb overdose with painkillers and she took him to the hospital, Ventura Fein told Estevao.

Ventura Fine revealed that they sometimes tried to stop using drugs in their relationship, but rehabilitation didn’t feel like an option for them. They consumed a lot of material for “freak-off” and called each other “collecting” partners, she said.

Combs use “daily” drugs. Ventura Fine testified. On May 14, during a question from the prosecutor, she said she saw the comb using ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, ketamine and GHB. Combs got a prescription for opiates from a doctor who said “it was not used very often by anyone.” She testified.

She told the court that Combs had gone through multiple departures and that his mood had changed to them.

USA Today contacted the Combs representative for comment.

Cathy continues to wake up using drugs and “paralyze” while “freak-off.”

In an opening statement, Tenny Jelagos, one of the combs’ lawyers, told the judge and ju judge that the drug was for “personal use” by combs and women taking part in “freak off.” Meanwhile, prosecutors suggest that the drug is a way to ensure that he “wakes for hours and hours and performs for him for days.”

On May 14th, Ventura Fine revealed that she developed an opioid addiction during her 10-year on-off relationship with Comb, seeking expert help five or six times. She said the last time she used opium was in 2022.

Drugs help her create a “numbing sensation” in “freak-off.” She is a sexual performance with combs and escorts that she said lasted for four days, which she described as “hell” on her body.

She used drugs like ecstasy during “freak off,” which meant she “didn’t like doing something,” so she was able to “stay just high and not experience.” She said on May 13th.

The Indianapolis Colts apologise for subsequent derated schedule release videos for enjoying police detention of Tyreek Hill

The Indianapolis Colts publicly apologized to Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill for enjoying his custody after announcing the team’s schedule for this season before the first game of the 2024 season.

The Colts posted the video Wednesday as part of the NFL schedule release. It has become popular for the team to create creative videos that announce their schedules in recent years, and Colts videos have played the video game Minecraft. The game-based film “A Minecraft Movie” was released earlier this year and was a huge hit at the box office. The film was distributed by Warner Bros Pictures, a part of Warner Bros Discovery, like CNN.

In the opening scene of the video posted by the Colts, a dolphin, labeled “hill” in a No. 10 jersey, blew into the siren and approached the Coast Guard boat on which police officers are riding.

“We have removed the schedule release video because we included a deadly clip that goes beyond our rights at Microsoft and includes dolphin wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek,” the Colts told CNN Sports in a statement.

Hill responded to the video Thursday: “You should have left it to @Colt, this was interesting.”

The incident involving Hill happened just before the first match of Dolphins last season. Last year, a wide receiver drove into the stadium and was stopped by police.

Video of the traffic stop showed officers pulling the hill out of his car, handcuffing him, putting him down on the road after he immediately failed to follow their orders. Hill later told CNN he was not moving anytime soon as he was still recovering from minor knee surgery performed before the 2024 season.

“I was shocked. It was crazy because it all happened so fast. For me, it all happened so quickly and I really didn’t like to collect everything that was happening,” Hill told Catelan Collins in “Sauce” at the time.

“I wasn’t moving fast because I know I was injured. I got what I went through. I’m playing physical sports. I’ve been doing this for a while.

The South Florida Police Charity Association defended the actions of the officials involved, highlighting that Hill was never arrested. The association said Hill was not cooperative and the officers were working for their own safety.

Other Miami Dolphins players who stopped by to provide support for Hill were also actively treated. Former Walter Payton Man of the Year recipient, Curry Campbell, told reporters after being handcuffed by police after approaching the scene and attempting to talk to officials about what was going on. Bystanders and police body decoration cameras captured the incident on September 8th.

Hill was issued two quotations attributed to a stop outside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. He had previously pleaded not guilty to careless driving without wearing a seat belt.

The judge dismissed the quotation in November after officers involved in the stop did not appear in court.

The Colts and Dolphins will play in week one of the Indianapolis NFL seasons.

A Thai court issued a warrant for 17 people, including the famous construction giant, police said Thursday about alleged involvement in the construction of a skyscraper that collapsed and killed workers during the powerful March earthquake.

The search team recovered 89 bodies in six weeks of operation at the tile ble at the 30-storey state audit office tower, partially built in Bangkok, the capital.

The person charged includes executives and engineers from seven companies involved in designing, building and overseeing the collapsed tower, police said they would not provide details.

Police have appointed Premchai Karnasuta, one of the 17 wanted people.

The Italian Thailand development has held meetings with investors and said it is working with the probe.

It could not be reached for comment Thursday.

He was convicted and sentenced to more than three years in a poaching species in 2021 after being caught by a ranger at a jungle campsite in a wildlife sanctuary that contains the corpses of a sheltered animal, including a black indocinium leopard.

Buc-EE continues to expand the footprint of Gargantuan gas stations, with locations scheduled to open nationwide.

The brand creates a cult-like follow-up centered around clean toilets and serves above-average dishes. Founded in 1982, the Texas-based company quickly became one of the state’s most recognized exports.

The first location was opened in Johnstown, Colorado in 2024, in the west of Texas, and the first location is under construction in the southwest.

The company was exemplified last year when it opened its biggest location in Ruling, Texas, and takes pride in its independent stores when it replaced the brand’s first family travel center with the convenience of the highway with the convenience of the 75,000-square-foot temple.

The southwest Florida location is under consideration as part of the village trio in Harbourview, reported News Press, part of the USA Today Network. According to this paper, Buc-ee will replace the proposed housing in Nishimura.

The Charlotte Observer reported that the location in Mebene, North Carolina is targeting the opening in late 2026 or early 2027.

According to Fox35 Orlando, the Ocala, Florida location broke the ground in February, but no starting date has been set. The location is set to open in 2026, reported Murfreesboro Radio Station WGNS.

Benton Courier reported that the first Arkansas location is expected to open by September 2026.

PGA Championship: The world’s best golfer struggles with opening round with an unlikely name in lead

Many of the predictions for the opening day of this year’s PGA Championship remained in one star-studded group at the Cool Hollow Club in Charlotte.

The group, world number one Scotty Scheffler, world number two Rory McIlroy, world number three Xander Schauferle, world number three, swayed their tongues as they waving the announcement they were playing together.

However, it was far from a vintage outing as each member of the group struggled to get something.

Newly crowned career grand slam champion McIlroy was unable to take over his form from the master, not an evil whim from the tee.

McIlroy, who won four times in Quazul Hollow in his career, shot the worst round on the course since 2011.

The 35-year-old did not speak to the media after the round.

Reigning champion Schaufele was unusually different, finishing his 18 holes one over par.

However, 28-year-old Schaeffler hadn’t had his best days, but he managed to crush the 2-under per finish in a typical way.

Group day was summarised by the tricky 16th hole, with all three golfers getting double bogeys.

Both Schauffer and Schauffere discovered the middle of the fairway after a near perfect drive, but both simply hit a second shot into the water next to the green. It blocked the momentum heading towards the clubhouse.

The duo expressed their dissatisfaction with the amount of muddy hits during the round. This is the reason for his selfish approach on hole 16.

“I don’t want to go to the locker room because I’m sure a lot of people aren’t very happy with the situation they’re there,” Schaufele said.

“If you hit a fairway, it’s like 50/50.”

I understand that it’s part of the game, but you’ll learn how to control the golf ball for the rest of your life and learn everything where you ultimately can’t control the golf ball.”

However, despite Topsitterby’s Day, Schaeffler said he liked to play with a group of golf stars.

“It’s always a lot of fun to pair up with these two guys. What excites us is an incredible amount of fun playing the top three in the world together, as players compete against the best competition.”

“Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better. I had a bit of a struggle this morning.”

We are hoping for a better second day as all three golfers try to push the leader down with the tee-off at 1:47pm ET.

World No. 70 played all his right hands, shot a 7-under 64 of sc fever, and found himself on the leaderboard, sitting two strokes in front of the duo of Ryan Gerald and Cam Davis.

The 40-year-old became the first player to represent Venezuela, shooting nine birdies that led/co-leaded major tournament rounds.

Vegas said he sat on the lead and felt “surprising.”

“It’s kind of what we dreamed of,” Vegas told ESPN Broadcast. “What we dreamed of. Something we train every day. It’s good to hold tournaments this way.”

When asked why he didn’t destroy it despite winning four PGA Tours, Vegas added that he was playing “prioritized” in the majors.

“At the end of the day, we try our best to play well at these events. …We get older, smarter, put less pressure on ourselves and don’t let the game get up. That’s kind of the approach I’ve been working on today,” Vegas said.

Vegas will be teeing off at 9:06am on Friday, so it will be a quick turnover.

Five players are tied down in the fourth, including alternatives to Captain Luke Donald and Alex S Marley of the European Ryder Cup team.

Just 24 hours before the finish on Thursday evening, the 28-year-old American discovered that Sahis Tegara would play in the majors after a neck injury forced him to withdraw before Thursday’s opening round.

Growing up near Charlotte in Greensboro, North Carolina, Smalley said majoring in his hometown was “great.”

“But it’s great to have the opportunity to play,” Smalley told reporters. “I played Wells Fargo here two years ago, and before that I didn’t play here. So I really only have a few rounds under my belt.

One of his favorites to stake, Bryson Deccanbeau struggled with taking part in many big names, finishing uniformly on the first 18 holes.

It was a day up and down for Justin Thomas, a two-time PGA Championship winner.

Despite three consecutive birdies including an astonishing chip on the 16th hole, the Americans finished in two over pars and are tied to 73rd.

But nothing came to the last hole at 32.

Thomas spotted the ball on a rock just off the water, and after taking off his socks and shoes, he escaped the potentially dangerous shot and placed 12 feet from the pin. However, he didn’t sink a par putt to finish with a bogey.

Golf is a humble game and a difficult game for important games.
