Politicians ask social media platforms to remove video of Kirk attack

The graphic video of the aftermath of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk and the shooting death of Chaos on the University of Utah campus on September 10 was available on social media within minutes of the incident as millions of people watched, scrolled, transferred and played.

The ominous footage was widely seen on Facebook, Tiktok, X, YouTube, Instagram and even on multiple digital platforms, the true social social that President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death.

Not all media platforms follow the same protocol in terms of how sensitive footage is displayed. So, Rep. Anna Polynalna, a Republican from Florida, is asking the social media giant to remove Kirk’s shooting death and the video shortly after that.

“I just received a word from Tiktok that I would delete the horrifying video of Charlie’s final moments,” Luna posted on X on September 11th. ”

Tiktok spokesman Jamie Favazza wrote in a statement issued hours before the Luna Post that the company was “sadly at the assassination” and “implemented additional safeguards to prevent unexpected viewing of footage that violates our rules.”

“These horrifying acts of violence have no place in our society,” Fabazza wrote in a statement provided to USA Today.

In a later post, Luna added that she had “full cooperation from all the companies we have contacted” about the video showing Kirk’s death. Right-wing representatives and Kirk Akorite pointed out Roblox, Reddit and Bluesky as the companies she contacted.

Reddit confirmed with USA Today that the company has begun taking steps to remove videos from its platform “just after incident” and denied doing so after a request from Luna.

“Our moderation team started watching violation content around Charlie Kirk yesterday. We have removed more than 100 experiences so far and continue to act,” Roblox said in a statement provided to USA Today.

Bluesky said in a statement that the platform has suspended its accounts saying it is “crossing this line and removing graphic videos for this horrifying event.” A follow-up email asking if Luna had contacted the company did not receive an immediate response.

Other platforms issue statements

Other platforms not mentioned by Luna told USA Today they would remove content surrounding Kirk’s death.

YouTube said the platform will remove “graphic content” related to Kirk’s death, particularly in an email to USA Today, especially if it doesn’t provide sufficient context for its audience.

“We continue to monitor this situation closely and may remove additional content that violates community guidelines,” YouTube said.

In a statement, Discord said it was “actively preventing video uploads and preventing the aggressive removal of related content that violates the policy.”

In an email on September 11, Meta, the parent company of Instagram and Facebook, told USA Today that it had applied warning labels to footage films and restricted videos to users over the age of 18.

“We are removing any content that praises, expresses or supports the case or the perpetrator,” Meta spokesman Andy Stone said in an email.

USA Today contacted X and asked if the platform would remove the video, but did not receive an immediate response.

What is the cheapest new Cadillac for sale in 2025?

Cadillac has been building and selling luxury cars for over 100 years.

Successive years add comfort, technology, safety features and heavy prices. The Cadillac flagship car, an escalade, currently has a north starting price of $90,000. It may be out of reach for most buyers, but the brand’s catalogue still has cars that are relatively affordable. This is a sedan with a variety of powertrain options, and many features to choose from falling below the $40,000 for the 2026 model year.

What is the cheapest Cadillac for sale now?

The Cadillac CT4 starts at $35,600 and will not only be the cheapest Cadillac, but also one of the most affordable luxury cars on the market. The “luxurious” trim is the cheapest, but offers many features that make it an interesting option for potential buyers. It’s a bit of a “cheap” price, but it’s still a Cadillac.

The trim comes standard with a 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged engine, 237 horsepower, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive with an option of all-wheel drive. Safety features include backup cameras and more advanced technologies such as dual-zone automatic climate control and driver Awareness Plus packages. This package includes the following sit-in indicators, lane keep assist lane departure warnings, Intellibeam headlights, rear cross traffic alerts, and side blind zone alerts.

Cadillac CT4 Luxurious Features

  • Engine: 2.0L Twin Scroll Turbocharged I4 Engine
  • Transmission: 8-speed automatic
  • MPG: 22 City/32 (RWD)
  • 8″ diagonal infotainment screen
  • Wireless phone charger
  • 17″ Alloy Wheel
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Driver awareness and packaging

What is the most expensive trim for the Cadillac CT4?

The most expensive standard CT4 trim available is the Sport starting at $43,800. A little cheaper at $39,900, the sport and premium luxury uses the same 2.7L twin-turbocharged engine that supplies 325 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Both are all-wheel drive and use a 10-speed automatic transmission.

If you want more performance, there are CT4-V and CT4-V blackwings starting at $50,000 and $62,700 respectively.

Who is Cadillac CT4’s biggest competitor?

Most of the CT4’s competitors are foreign brands, as there are not many American-made sedans that are still produced. Vehicles like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, and Lexus ES are comparable to the CT4 in terms of cost, power, size and functionality. Cadillacs are still inexpensive, have similar technologies to other technologies, and are an option to consider whether they are in the market for new sedans.

Authorities share updates after Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting

Authorities will address the media in an update in connection with the murder of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, fatally filmed at a student-sponsored event held in Orem, Utah on Wednesday, September 10th.

Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while holding the first “I Wrong” table, a series of live debates at Utah Valley University, held at schools and universities around the country.

Kirk’s National Campus Tour Series, which had the opportunity for audience members to discuss Kirk and his team in a public setting, was called the “American Comeback Tour.”

Authorities are still looking for shooters, but have recovered a “powerful rifle” that appears to have been used to fire a single deadly shot. Photos of new people of interest were released by the FBI on Thursday, September 11th.

“The shooting is believed to be a targeted attack. The shooter is believed to have fired fire from the roof of the building to the location of a public event in a student courtyard,” the Utah Department of Public Safety said in a statement. “We cannot provide additional explanations to protect the integrity of the investigation.”

The UVU campus where the shooting took place will be closed for the remainder of the week as authorities gather evidence.

Press conference after Charlie Kirk’s murder: How to watch

According to the Utah Safety Department, the press conference video feed will be broadcast live on the agency’s Instagram account, @utahdps, at 7:30pm local time.

A recording of the first briefing, held on the evening of September 10th, is linked here.

Who was Charlie Kirk?

Charlie Kirk was a right-wing political activist, author and media character.

Kirk, a close political ally of President Donald Trump, has become a national figure for the job of Turning Point USA, an organization promoting conservative politics on high school and college campuses. Turning Point USA was founded in 2012 by Kirk.

According to TPUSA, “The organization’s mission is to identify, educate, train and organize students to promote the principles of financial responsibility, free markets and limited government.”

In 2024, he spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Political efforts aside, he was also the husband of Erica Franzbe and the father of two young children: daughter, three, son 1.

No active shooter threat found

Authorities urged schools to be under lockdown at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on September 11, urging the school to be under lockdown.

Naval Assistance Activities Annapolis (NSAA) and local law enforcement agencies are responding to reports of suspicious activities on the Naval Academy premises around 5:07pm, providing school safety and other assistance, according to the NSAA. Previously, the NSAA said the base was blocked “from a wealth of caution.”

The NSAA said in its 9pm EST update that further investigations revealed “no active shooter threats,” but one person was injured while Navy security forces were clearing the building. The person was transported from the facility in a stable condition.

“We will provide updates when an update becomes available,” the NSAA said in a social media update.

The Naval Academy is a four-year university that trains medium hulls to become officers of the Navy and Marine Corps. With a total of 4,400 undergraduate students enrolled, the academy is located in downtown Annapolis, about 30 miles southeast of Baltimore.

Lockdown comes after reporting threats on US university campuses

The Naval Academy blockade follows multiple reports of threats on university campuses across the country, including historically black universities (HBCUs), which were locked down or closed on September 11th.

Alabama State University, Hampton University, Virginia State University, Southern University, A&M College, and Bethun Cookman University were locked up on the morning of September 11th, each citing potential threats posed to campus. Spellman College in Atlanta has invited students and faculty to avoid an increase in campus and security measures due to the threat to nearby Clark Atlanta University.

The lockdown and shelter orders have been lifted, but the school has increased security and cancelled classes for the rest of the day due to abundant attention.

Florida A&M University later announced plans to cancel in-person classes and its presidential convening due to threats to other HBCUs. FAMU is not under threat, but the university said, with a wealth of caution, will pause in-person classes on the evenings of September 11th and September 12th and will move to virtual learning.

“We are in solidarity with institutions currently under lockdown or threat, and will expand our support during this period,” the university said in a warning message.

Florida reporter was suspended after questioning by Rep. Randy Fine Bash

A Floridapolitics.com reporter stopped texting by Randefine, a Republican from Florida, by texting shortly after Charlie Kirk was shot in Utah on Wednesday, September 10th.

In a social media post, Fine shared a screenshot of his text exchange with reporter Ag Gancarski.

Fine answered the question, saying he learned about the shooting just 23 minutes ago, and ended with “I will never contact me again.”

Peter Schorsch of Floridapolitics.com publisher told The Associated Press that Gancarski was a good reporter who made a mistake and returned to work a few days later.

“I think everyone should ask questions about the broader policy today,” he said. “But when the house is on fire, I don’t think you should ask a question about a person’s insurance policy. You put out the fire first.”

At the same time, MSNBC political analyst Matthew Dowd was fired after making comments following the shooting death of a conservative activist.

Shortly after the attack, Dowd said that Kirk was a divisive person. “I’m the kind of person who’s constantly pushing this kind of hate speech aimed at a particular group, and I always lead to hateful thoughts, which leads to hateful behavior.

These comments were filled with quick criticism from the right, prompting MSNBC to fire paid political analysts. In a statement posted to X, previously known as Twitter, network president Rebecca Kutler announced a public apology.

“During the news coverage of the Charlie Kirk shooting, Matthew Dowd made inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable comments,” she said. “There is no place for violence in America, whether political or not.”

In a subsequent post about Bluesky, Dowd issued a public apology for comments to the network.

“Let me be clear, I didn’t intend my comment to blame Kirk for this horrifying attack,” Dowd said. “Let us all come together and condemn violence of all sorts.”

WASHINGTON – The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it would provide a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to identification and arrest of individuals killing the star’s conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.

The agency announced its compensation on September 11th, shortly after publishing images of pairs of people interested in investigating Kirk. The image shows a man with stairs wearing a long black sleeve shirt with an American flag, jeans, sunglasses and a dark hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-Call-FBI if they have the information and send photos or videos at https://tips.fbi.gov/digitalmedia/F4507712A3B2893.

Kirk, 31, a father of two and a close political ally of President Donald Trump, was speaking outside Wednesday afternoon when a single intestinal shot stabbed his neck in the courtyard of Utay Valley University.

No suspects have been identified. In addition to the images, authorities said they had retrieved a powerful rifle in the Naerby forest, where they believed they were being used to film, and learned new details about the suspects in the video being analyzed.

Woman discovers hidden vintage cars in historic local barn

0

play

  • Angie Foley owns Roussorber in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan, and purchased the nearby landmark Redburn earlier this year.
  • Approximately 18 vehicles were auctioned off from the collection, including many rare barn discovery cars.

Angie Foley had a vision to change the barn in Michigan, which she bought earlier this year, but first she had to clean it up.

That effort would mean new owners of some of the classic barn-acquisition cars that have been “hidden” for decades.

The 18 vehicles aren’t in order, but Foley, 53, said he hopes it will become someone else’s restoration project following the auction held last week.

“I may not be a car guy, but I can be grateful to save something,” she said.

While the 1962 Cadillac Haase may be most interesting, Foley’s personal favorite is the 1941 Buix Special, featuring a “very clean” Frosty Green straight 8 engine.

They were drawn from Redburn. Redburn was drawn from a local landmark in the early 1900s in this small community southwest of the Kanewar Peninsula. It is located near another local landmark, Roussauber.

Foley is the 10th owner of the bar and bought it in 2012 along with her current ex-husband. She is the town supervisor and former clerk. The bar is her full-time gig. She said the town has a voting population of around 58.

The bar is preparing to celebrate its 90th anniversary next year, and Foley said it is a destination with bent floors and ceilings that visitors write about, especially during deer season. Foley, a native of Vicksburg, south of Kalamazoo, said he began coming to the area in the 1980s. Her father was a Michigan Bell lineman, and some of his colleagues were hunters.

Cadillac spirit hearse from the auction is also part of local lore, Foley said. A man named Clarence, one of the bar’s clients years ago, is said to have rode it when he performed his funeral before he passed away. Morley Stannard, the owner of the bar at the time, was the man who, along with his wife Sophie, gathered many of the classic cars from the auction.

Some of the 18 vehicles are more recent than Spirit Hearse and Buick. For example, some GMC and Dodge Ram Pickups in the 1990s — but we welcome the 1956 Hudson Hornet and 1958 Hudson Hornet, including the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1958 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1958 Hudson Hornet, the 1956 Hudson Hornet, the 1956

Foley, who wants to turn the barn into space for weddings and other events, initially thought the Hornet would become a “money car,” but said there is no “racing engine.” But it’s still a cool car, she said. She said the dated red and one white, one white, and one white Marlins will become cool muscle cars.

Foley received several calls about others, including the old Chevrolet suburbs that “sunned midway through Wheelwell.” Many of the vehicles were protected and protected, but for years, the moisture underneath caused rusty concrete and crushed stone pieces to be parked.

It was a day-long process, simply taking the car out of the barn.

Foley doesn’t maintain any of them, but she decides to keep another type of classic that is part of the Apache pop-up camper van, which is part of a massive haul of bones, car parts and other items.

Foley was a lot of work preparing for the auction, and it was a bit of a learning curve, but she was excited and nervous about the future.

“I know now that the discovery of the barn is a big deal, so I didn’t know that,” she said.

But this is a real deal, she said, despite the fact that the cars don’t run “it’s more than a part car and if someone could save them.”

This 2024 Dodge SUV depreciated by over 40%. Should you get it?

0

This Dodge SUV could be the used car steel you’ve been waiting for.

play

  • Depreciation can create unique purchasing opportunities for second-hand car buyers.
  • One Dodge SUV may be what some drivers are looking for in a used car.

Depreciation can produce a lot more in vehicles that are used gently by second-hand car buyers.

Some vehicles can lose most of their original MSRP (manufacturer’s recommended retail price) as soon as they roll from the dealer lot. This outbreak may not be great for nameplates or brands in terms of resale value, but it is great for anyone looking for a second-hand car deal.

One American subcompact SUV has suffered a severe depreciation hit despite being a fairly new model. Is it worth buying at a significantly reduced price, or is it depreciating quickly for a reason?

Carvana sells this Dodge SUV much less than the original MSRP

The Dodge Hornet is the subcompact SUV that first hit the scene in August 2022. It features an aggressive exterior design reminiscent of DodgeMuscleCars. The SUV was designed by Jeff Gale, whose father designed the iconic Dodge Viper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnnyrpw1_ea

Dodge’s Hornet is the only subcompact SUV model created to compete with rivals such as the Mazda CX-30 and Hyundai Kona. Dodge also introduced a powerful plug-in hybrid trim that produces more horsepower than the gas version.

The original MSRP for the 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T plug-in hybrid is $41,400, which is expensive in this segment. There are several models listed on Carvana that cost less than $29,000. The 2024 Hornet R/T depreciated more than 40% despite several listings earning little serious mileage.

Is the 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T a good SUV?

Dodge’s Hornet R/T is unique as a plug-in hybrid as it uses gas and electrical energy to maximize power and efficiency. The 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and electric motor combine 288 horsepower and is powerful in size. It achieves 29 miles per gallon in the electric range (without using an electric range) and 77 miles per gallon.

The American Subcompact SUV has a 33-mile operating range when fully charged, allowing you to travel with just electricity. It comes with standard all-wheel drive, making it perfect for towing. A review by InsideEvs, an electric vehicle publication, calls Hornet R/T a “very bad deal.” That said, the reviewer also pointed out that dealer discounts can understand how to seduce buyers to get Hornet R/T.

Should I get a Dodge Hornet?

If you’re looking for a second-hand subcompact SUV, the 2024 Hornet may not be your first choice. If you’re a fan of the Dodge brand looking for the subcompact SUV used, Hornet offers company signature style, power and driving dynamics. Furthermore, those who are not opposed to charging the vehicle may notice that current market prices will allow the R/T plug-in hybrid trim to trim more attractive deals.

Dodge Hornet is a solid contender for that segment, but rivals like the Hyundai Kona and Mazda CX-30 are more value-oriented and balanced. On the other hand, hornets are as close as SUVs can reach Dodge muscle cars, which may not be for anyone. If you’re a fan of Hornet Nameplate, Carvana and Carmax have a list of some affordable, low mileage models.

Is it too little, too late? In Kirk’s murder, Dem rushes to the cold

Capitol Hill Democrats joined GOP colleagues to lash out at Kirk’s assassination, but they don’t seem optimistic about turning down Trump’s Washington political temperature.

play

  • Shortly after, many of Kirk’s allies denounced their political enemies.
  • “Political violence will never be accepted,” House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a September 10th post on X.

The murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk creates a challenge for Democrats as they try to calm tensions and avoid responsibility, but Kirk continues to firmly oppose President Donald Trump’s closely identified political agenda.

Shortly after, many of Kirk’s allies denounced political opponents of her 31-year-old husband and father who were fatally shot in the head at a September 10 event at Utah Valley University.

“The left is the murder party,” featured billionaire and Republican Mega Donor Elon Musk on X.

President Trump is planning to posthumously award the presidential freedom medal to the murdered Magazine supporters. He was immediately responsible for “radical left” in a four-minute speech from the oval office, as authorities still searched for shooters and potential motivations.

Democrats responded by denounceing Kirk’s assassination and all political violence. This has become increasingly common for both parties and individuals in all stripes.

“This is unacceptable and we need to blame it. We have to stop it,” Sen. D-Calif, a longtime Trump enemy, said in a September 10th post on X.

“Political violence will never be accepted,” House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a September 10th X post. “My thoughts and prayers belong to Charlie Kirk and his family.”

Rep. Maxwell Frost, a member of Gen Z, elected to Congress, said the shooting was “nothing but horrifying” and condemned the violence. In a Facebook post on September 10, Florida Democrat said he responded to the shooting and responded to their political beliefs that “each person deserves to be safe from gun violence.”

Trump honors Charlie Kirk with the medal of freedom after death

President Donald Trump announces the President’s Medal of Freedom after Charlie Kirk’s death.

But in an age where it’s fueled by an online ecosystem that rewards a troubling partisan approach to politics, experts say it’s a challenge for Democrats to attack for months to “fight fire with fire” against Trump and populist fuel moves led by Kirk and others.

“It was extremely difficult for Democrats to find a way to talk about Trump and Kirk, and we’re communicating the idea that they represent a threat to democracy without leading it to an alarm,” Matthew Dalek, a professor of political management at George Washington University, told USA Today.

He added that if Kirk’s assassination brings back the national trajectory of political violence or pushes it into a “deep, darker place” where he wants to embrace it, he’s also hard to know.

For example, many conservative officials and figures say that mild Democrats are hypocrites who have been aiming to be fiery rhetoric against them for years, regardless of their safety. They’ve also been in the spotlight for comments from people who have either ock or downplayed Kirk’s death, and have heard disturbing warnings that more violence is imminent.

“It’s not a civil dispute between fellow nations,” Republican Rep. Nick Freitas declared in X.

DEMS: As Congress makes security UPS, skeptical temperatures drop

Capitol Hill Democrats joined GOP colleagues to lash out at Kirk’s assassination, but they don’t seem optimistic about Trump’s prospects of suppressing political temperatures in Washington.

Sen. Tim Kane served as Virginia governor in the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, killing nearly 30 students and faculty members. He said the president has “the biggest megaphone” as the country tackles Kirk’s death.

“As long as he sends ambiguous messages about violence, he forgives protesters on January 6 and criticises violence, but not all, we don’t get the leadership we need,” Democrat Kane told USA Today.

In a roughly four-minute speech in the oval office after the Utah shooting, Trump said that facing Kirk’s murder “is a tragic consequence of demonizing people you don’t agree with” was “a long past for all Americans and the media.” He exclusively called for cases of violence against his own supporters, without mentioning political violence against Democratic officials, including the lure of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Sen. Chris Murphy of D-Connecticut, who has advocated for gun reform since Sandy Hook fired in his state in 2012, has accused Trump of exacerbating the political situation. “It’s time for the president to lead,” he said.

Murphy said lawmakers have already raised security details in the wake of several political violence this year, including the assassination of two democratic state legislators in Minnesota this summer.

But lawmakers on either side of the aisle quickly broke away from the crying game between Republicans and Democrats ahead of Trump’s remarks in Kirk’s moments of silence on the House floor.

It started when R-Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert asked members to say Kirk’s prayers, leaving behind his three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son, wife Erika.

play

See Charlie Kirk’s legacy as a voice of young people’s magazine

USA Today’s Will Carless reflects on the legacy of Charlie Kirk as the voice of Maga on university campus.

“What about the kids in Colorado?” Some Democrats could be heard screaming, referring to the 100th anniversary of the state’s September 10th school shooting that occurred the same day Kirk’s death.

That prompted a response from Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Florida, who worked for Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, before being elected to Congress. She cried out, “It caused this!” Democrats across the aisle.

Rep. Jahana Hayes of D-Connecticut cried out, “I’ll hand over some gun laws!”

Both parties blame each other for inflammatory rhetoric

Kirk’s assassination is the pinnacle of a well-known series of political violence, experts told USA Today, including two attempts on Trump’s life during the 2024 presidential election.

This moment has come to be the case, including the hammer attack on former speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband in 2022, and the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh in the same year. (The attackers of Pelosi’s house repeated hymns from Trump supporters who broke into the Capitol on January 6, 2021 when they cried out “Where is Nancy?”)

“Whether we were conspiring to raise the temperature or not, rhetorically speaking, it’s important that everyone wants to lower the temperature. There’s never an inappropriate time to stop people’s values from equalizing the value of their ideas.”

But Kirk’s murder is particularly troubling for conservative thinkers and activists, given his stardom’s traditional values mixed with non-acceptable, confrontational debate styles on college campuses and online, combined with galvanized plating in the right causes and perspectives by including a generation of young voters in the Trump campaign.

Former Republican Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore said in an interview that the nature of America’s communications has been significantly altered by social media control.

“World politics today is advantageous to more extreme statements, sometimes even violent statements, more extreme, than people make,” he said. “And because Democrats are hypocritical, people can get frustrated on the right because they’re violently anti-Trump and cause anger and frustration from the left.”

However, it is unlikely that both sides will dig into the heels by highlighting examples of threats and violence, such as the bomb threat at the Democratic National Committee headquarters on September 11th, so pointing to partisan fingers is likely to stop.

Mike Nellis, a former senior adviser to the 2020 Kamala Harris presidential campaign, said both parties should be responsible for looking in the mirror and wait for them to learn more about the shooters as the investigation unfolds, but his party said Trump will remain responsible for what he says and what he is saying.

“I understand that there are some stupid idiots on the internet.

“But Donald Trump is the president and he sets his tone for the country and his movements. If he tells people to jump, they say ‘how high.’

As the tropical awakens, a new storm threat appears in the Pacific Atlantic Ocean

0

The Atlantic Ocean is predicted to see tropical waves coming out of West African coasts over the next few days.

play

The Tropics are awakening from their midseason sleep.

The Atlantic Ocean is predicted to see tropical waves coming out of West African coasts over the next few days. “Environmental conditions could support slow development of the system early next week over the weekend,” the National Hurricane Centre said on September 11.

And in the Pacific Ocean, a shower and thunderstorm area off the southern coast of Mexico became tropical depression on the afternoon of September 11th.

The Atlantic Storm may be Gabriel

Regarding the Atlantic system, “we should find favorable conditions for further development,” Houston-based meteorologist Matt Lanza said on September 11th in the “eyewall” subsack.

If it ends up in a name storm, you could get the name Gabriel.

“Most of the different models we’re seeing are getting pretty bullish about the development of this system in about a week from now,” Lanza added. “There’s a surprising good match between some of these models and their ensemble as to where the interference is by the middle of next week” – that is, about the Smack Dub in the middle of Atlantic.

“For at least for now, this system poses no immediate threat to the land, and there’s nothing we’re worried about at this point,” WPLG-TV hurricane expert Michael Lowry told Substack on September 11.

But Lanza said, “This is something we have to pay attention to for a while. You can see the storm getting quite strong in the second half of September, so maybe it’s something. That might not be anything.

Mario is likely to form in the Pacific Ocean

In the Pacific Ocean, low-pressure areas became tropical depression on the afternoon of September 11th. It is expected to move westward across oceans that are roughly parallel to the coasts of southern and southwest Mexico, but the Hurricane Center said.

As of 5pm on September 11, the depression, known as Tropical Depression 13-E, was located about 120 miles southeast of Acapulco, Mexico, the Hurricane Center said. The system is expected to become a tropical storm in just a day or so.

“Interest along the coast of southwestern Mexico needs to monitor advances in this system,” the Hurricane Center said. Up to half a foot of rain could be achieved, leading to flash flooding in areas with higher terrain.

As the system tracks over hot water, “it should become a hurricane and potentially a big hurricane,” pointed out weather trader meteorologist Ryan Maue in his SubJeupus.

The next name on the East Pacific System Storm List is Mario.

Accuweather fixes hurricane predictions

Accuweather has released its revised September 11th forecast for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane season. This followed “an unusually quiet stretch across the Atlantic Basin during the peak climate of tropical activity.”

Here’s the new prediction and how it compares to the March forecast (in parentheses):

  • Name Arashi: 13-16 (13-18)
  • Hurricane: 6-9 (7-10)
  • Major Hurricanes: 3-5 (same)
  • Influence us: 3-6 (same)

According to Accuweather, this Atlantic hurricane season is currently a little behind the historic average. Six named storms formed in the Atlantic Basin, and Erin was the only one who became hurricane-resistant. By this point this year, there are usually eight name storms and three hurricanes.

Not all cars are intended to be driven daily. If you own a special vehicle, such as a classic or sports car, you can probably keep it hidden somewhere until you feel like taking it for a spin. The problem is that you can experience the ultimate mood killer in this situation. This is that the car has not started because the battery died because it was idle for too long.

There is a simple solution to this. It is a car battery maintainer, also known as a trickle charger. They are designed to provide a small amount of power to the battery, and are only enough to allow the juice to flow when using it again. We rounded up some of the best battery maintainers on the market for use in cars, motorcycles and more.

Battery Soft Plus 12V 1.25-AMP Car and Motorcycle Battery Charger and Maintenance

This universal battery maintainer works with all types of starter batteries, from vehicles to lawn mowers. However, it is not designed to charge dead cars’ batteries. It works in four steps. First, determine the current battery charge level. After that, start charging as needed, and the strength decreases as it approaches full charge. Once fully charged, it automatically switches to low ampere maintenance mode to keep the battery at optimal power without overcharging.

It’s easy to use. Simply connect, connect to the battery and make the magic work. Red and green LED lights can signal the current status of the battery at all stages.

Important specifications:

  • Charging current: 1.25 amps
  • What makes it special: Adjusts to all kinds of starter batteries

NoCo Genius10 10A Smart Car Battery Charger and Battery Maintenance

The Noco Genius10 maintainer can also charge dead batteries. It automatically detects sulfur deposits and acid layering in the battery, and is designed to repair and charge to optimal conditions, so it does more than that. There is also an integrated thermal sensor that detects the temperature on the outside and avoids overcharging or overcharging depending on the cold or heat outside. This means it can be left in place for months and adapts based on changing weather.

It also works with a small 6-volt battery, allowing you to charge or maintain your electric scooter, golf cart, e-bike, and even vintage cars and motorcycles.

Important specifications:

  • Charging current: 10 amps
  • Voltage : 6 volts or 12 volts
  • What makes it special: Restore your battery and keep it in perfect condition for any season

In addition to charging and maintaining, you can also test the current state of the battery to desulfurize it. Easy to use and has built-in reverse hookup protection so if you confuse positive and negative when connecting clamps, it can protect your car’s electrical system.

Important specifications:

  • Charging current: 15 amps
  • Voltage : 6 volts or 12 volts
  • What makes it special: Large engine and diesel capacity

How to choose the right battery maintainer for your car

After reading the product description and specifications, you probably have a rough idea of what can and cannot be done based on the characteristics of the battery maintainer. Below are some specific steps that will help you choose the right one for your car.

Make sure the maintainer is compatible with your car battery

There are three main types of car batteries: lead acid, absorbent glass mats and lithium. Check the battery label and check the type you have in your car. For example, many hybrids and plug-in hybrids use lithium batteries, and many typical battery maintainers are not designed to work with them.

Determine the charger output on the right

If you think that the battery needs to be charged as well, the battery maintainer’s charger output should be at least 10% of the battery’s total amplifier time rating. For example, if your car has a 50 amp battery, you need to look for a maintainer that can deliver at least 5 amps. If you’re more interested in maintaining a fully charged battery, a low amp maintainer will probably do a good job.

Consider the length of the cord

This may sound trivial, but determining the length of the code required by a battery maintainer is a major step. Imagine how frustrating it must be to start preparing your sports car for winter storage and make sure your garage outlet is too far. Extension cords may work, but it is not a good idea to use one and leave it unsupervised for weeks or months at a time.

Charlie Kirk Turning Point USA releases a statement honoring its founder

Charlie Kirk’s organization Turning Point USA pays tribute to the founder who was fatally shot in Utah this week.

In a statement shared on Kirk’s personal social media account on Thursday, September 11th, Turning Point said “all of us at Turning Point USA have been crushed and devastated by the hateful murder and guided light of our founder, Charlie Kirk.” In 2012, Kirk founded an organization defending conservative politics on high school and university campuses. Over the past decade, his message of conservatism among young people has spread across the country.

Authorities are still searching for the shooter who killed Kirk at the September 10 event at Utah Valley University. They retrieved a rifle believed to have been used to fire a single deadly shot.

“We all lost leaders, mentors and friends. Above all, our hearts are to Erica and their two children. Charlie was the ideal husband and the perfect father,” Turning Point said. “More than anything, I ask you to pray for the Kirks after the incomprehensible loss they have suffered.”

The organization details Kirk’s becoming a conservative media outlet and launched Turning Point from his 18-year-old parents’ garage.

“In his 31 years, Charlie lived with 100 people more than any of us. He had an overwhelming passion for life and a deep belief in his power as an individual who makes a difference,” Tpusa said.

In that statement, Turning Point said, “Charlie loved America, its people, its constitution, its freedom, and the infinite good that they all did for the world.”

“But more than anything, Charlie lived every day with an overflowing love for Christ, which he knew he would one day be able to see,” the statement said. “When asked, Charlie said he wanted to be remembered more than anything for his faith. More than any political victory, Charlie wanted to see a spiritual revival among the young Americans.”

Turning Point said that Kirk “wanted a nation of happy and prosperous families who loved God and each other,” and pointed out that Kirk had passed the message of Christ “to a non-believing audience” during his last public speech before his death.

“Charlie is gone, but his legacy will survive. He should not get older. Age will not tire him,” the memo concluded. “He always remains a brave young man who urged tens of millions of Americans to improve themselves and take action in a better America. We all miss Charlie. None of us will forget him.”

FBI recovers the bolt action rifle used to film Charlie Kirk

Orem, Utah – The FBI forensics agent behind the lost building at Utah Valley University was still collecting evidence on September 11th in a wooded area where agents in the forest said the shooter the agent used to kill political influencer Charlie Kirk had recovered.

The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times reported that it was an older model Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt-action rifle, citing law enforcement sources. An ATF spokesman declined to comment on USA Today, citing the active investigation.

An evidence marker on a small hill behind the building marked the trail taken by the shooter and appeared to be running through the trees towards a nearby construction site.

On the site, electrician Dylan Hope told his colleagues that he believed the gunman spoke to the gunman on Wednesday, September 10th. Hope said his colleague spoke to a young man who appeared on the site and asked if he could walk it.

“Before either the sirens or people went out, the suspected gunman spoke to the excavator man,” Hope said. “The excavator guy stopped him because we shouldn’t have anyone here.”

The man told construction workers he was “trying to go home safely” after the shooting, Hope said.

Officers later appeared with the dog and tracked the shooter down to the property next to him through the site, Hope said. He didn’t know if the shooter parked the vehicle near the construction site.

“I park here every day and didn’t see any cars that I didn’t recognize,” he said.

Shortly after USA Today looked into the site, the agent blocked it with a police tape.

Donald Lane, a former US Secret Service agent with decades of experience in the fugitive Manhunt, told USA Today that the recovery of the rifle used to kill Charlie Kirk is an important development for law enforcement.

“Recovering that weapon is absolutely enormous,” he said. “It’s a gold mine for information.”

Lane said experts analyzing guns can discover serial numbers that could go back to fingerprints, DNA, or perhaps shooters. He also noted other breakthroughs in the case, including palms and shoe prints found near the scene of the shooting.

Lane and other experts said each evidence significantly improved the likelihood of identifying suspects in law enforcement. And if a suspect is identified, experts said it would be difficult for a shooter to avoid detection given the well-known nature of the incident.

“We’re accused of retiring,” said Scott Duffy, co-director of Wilmington University’s Criminal Justice Institute and a retired FBI agent.

Tom Chittum, former assistant director of the ATF Associate, predicted that a single shot fired at Kirk showed that a bolt-action rifle was used.

“The .30-06 is a common hunting caliber, and the report shows it is an older model imported,” said former ATF Deputy Director Tom Chittum.

According to Chittum, traditional hunting calibers are used to hunt deer, and in this configuration, they are usually found in five rounds of magazines. A bolt-action rifle means that the trigger fires a round, and the shooter must manually chamber another round. This is the opposite of semi-automatic rifles where firearms use mechanisms to use subsequent rounds in the chamber.

“This is a longer shot, suggesting that a person has prepared and practiced, but you don’t necessarily have to be a police or military sniper to make that shot,” Chittam said. “In modern optics and some practice, that’s not an impossible shot.”

According to an analysis of USA Today’s satellite imagery, the shooter could have been less than 150 yards from Kirk.

Such short distances are thought to be within reach of the basic shooter. Army soldiers should pass the shooting test of rifles, including targets 325 yards apart, after only a few days of training, even those who lack non-combat work or previous firearm experience.

The .30-06 round used in recovered rifles will not experience any loss of gravity or wind destruction even at that distance.

The fact that the FBI has recovered the firearm will accelerate the investigation, Chittam said it will accelerate the investigation as it can track and test fingerprint and DNA evidence.

“I think it’s part of the plan to escape and throw it away. To carry a long rifle. “It certainly makes it easier. It has biological evidence and the trace itself generates leads.”

This is a developing story. Please check for updates.

The US threatens actions against foreigners who praise the murder of Charlie Kirk

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, September 11, Deputy Director of State Christopher Landau warned that Washington could take action against foreigners “to praise, streamline or make light” the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, adding that he had directed consul officials to take appropriate action.

“In light of the horrifying assassination of a major political figure yesterday, I would like to emphasize that foreigners who praise violence and hatred do not welcome visitors to our country,” Landau said in a post on social media platform X.

“I’m tired of seeing some on social media praise, streamline or reveal the event and have directed consul officials to take appropriate action.”

Landau detailed what such actions mean.

Users responded to Landau’s post with screenshots of their accounts and posts, but it was unclear whether the account they flagged was a US visa holder.

The second at the State Department has since responded to some of those comments, saying it will monitor consuls to monitor post comments that had received more than 2,000 replies as of Thursday afternoon.

A State Department spokesman said he asked about Landau’s post. “This administration does not believe that the United States should grant visas to those whose existence of our country does not match the national security interests of the United States.”

However, the spokesman did not address questions about whether anyone was identified as capable of revoking a visa or how consulate officials would rate what they flagged in response to Landau’s posts.

Kirk, the 31-year-old author, podcast host and ally of President Donald Trump, helped build Republican support among young voters. He was killed in one gunshot on Wednesday, September 10th, after giving a lecture at a university in Utah that President Donald Trump called a “vicious assassination.”

The Trump administration has pursued a radical crackdown on immigrants, including increasing social media vetting, revoking thousands of student visas, and sought to strengthen the duration of others.

The lawsuit aims to prove Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the 9/11 attack

A federal judge in New York has rejected a motion from Saudi Arabia to dismiss the suit against possible involvement in the Kingdom’s attack. The ruling has been a great success for the victims’ relatives

play

NEW YORK – After decades of lawsuits, a federal judge has allowed a progressive lawsuit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the Gulf state’s potential involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 people.

The decision of US District Judge George B. Daniels shows a significant step for the victim’s relatives of September 11, 2001, for the attacks that have been trying to bring the kingdom to court since 2002. He owned a potential attack plan.

Court records show that one Saudi official in San Diego had installed hijackers in his apartment, recorded videos from a well-known government site in Washington, D.C., and had a drawing with long calculations showing how planes can reach a specific target on the horizon.

“A lot of people think we didn’t get to that bottom 24 years ago, 9/11,” the answer is literally against it,” said Brett Eagleson, who lost his father to the attack. “All of these loose ends and roads back to Saudi Arabia are still there.”

The family wants to sue damages and opportunities to learn the truth, saying that a trial will come to light the full narrative of how the 9/11 terrorist attack was planned.

“There’s a lot more to the story,” Eagleson said. “For 20 years, we have said that the Saudi government has been explicitly involved. It is an element within the government, if not the king himself.”

Saudi Arabia’s Omar Al-Baiyyyy and Fahad al-Tumeiry have made a deal with Saudi Arabia’s Nawaf Al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Midar.

Both Baiumi and Tumily are in Saudi Arabia, but this does not sign an extradition treaty with the United States. They have not been charged with a crime.

What does Saudi Arabia say?

Kingdom lawyers and embassy officials did not reply to requests for comment.

At a court hearing last year, Saudi lawyers argued that the relationship between the hijacker and Baiumi and Sumaily was purely coincidence. Thumairy was stationed in the United States as part of the Gulf State’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs and assisted in the operation of the mosque in Los Angeles, court filings state. According to the Kingdom’s lawyer, Baiuumi was a longtime accountant for the country’s civil aviation agency, who was in the United States to promote his education.

Kingdom’s lawyers said Baiumi and Tumily helped Hasumi and Mihadhar, not because they were terrorists. They were simply helping fellow Saudi Arabia, as Saudi Arabians have for Saudi rookies to the United States, the lawyers alleged.

However, Daniels was not impressed by the answers of the Saudi lawyers, and the transcript repeatedly asked for evidence that San Diego-based Bayoumi co-signed the lease to anyone other than the hijacker.

The Kingdom alleges that “no one in the Saudi government directed others to assist the Bai-Umi, Sumaire or the hijackers,” Daniels wrote in a 45-page ruling. “However, the court found this claim lacked power compared to multiple circumstantial evidence that produces reasonable inferences,” the pair said they coordinated with senior Saudi officials in supporting hijackers.

The Kingdom’s lawyers also said at the hearing that even evidence linking Baiumi and Tumiley to the hijackers did not prove that they acted at their government’s request.

“Even if Baiumi and Tumeiley themselves know the hijacking plans and support them,” said Kingdom lawyer Michael K. Kellogg at the 2024 hearing.

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was born in Saudi Arabia, but was expelled from the country in 1991 and his citizenship was revoked in 1994 due to extremist activities.

What does the evidence show?

Some of the strongest evidence has been obtained recently in favour of the victims’ family claims, according to group lawyer Don Miliori.

New evidence includes a Washington, DC video taken by Baiumi in 1999, as well as hand-made drawings of a calculated plane. Both were found in his possession by Scotland Yard in 2001 and recently handed over to a family seeking to file a lawsuit. The Baiumi had moved to the UK just before the attack on September 11th.

The drawing shows a sketch of the plane, containing multiple calculations and notes, court records show. Inside the notes of Baiumi there was the following line: “h = Height the plane from Miles of Earth,” “Distance from Airplane to Harizen.”

Bayyoumi told police that the drawings were made out of simple interest in the topic, court records show. Kingdom’s lawyer said at the hearing that he believed it was related to his son’s mathematics homework.

The video shot by Baiumi lasts over an hour, showing iconic Washington sites, including the White House and Capitol.

The 9/11 family lawyer says the video is not a memorabilia, but is actually a showcase of potential targets for terrorist attacks.

Baiumi spoke during the video, and at one point near the National Mall: “We say our children are demons, but these are the demons of the White House.” At another point, he says, “In front of Congress. There is no power or strength other than through Allah.”

How did Saudi Arabia help California hijackers?

After arriving in January 2000, hijackers Hazmi and Mihdhar made quick friends in California.

Hazmi and Mihad went to the Mosque in Tumeir shortly after they arrived, and later witnesses were placed in Imam’s company, court records show. Thumairy says he doesn’t remember them and has never helped or directed anyone to help a pair of newcomers into American soil.

Bayyoumi met the hijacker around February 2000, court filings have been shown. He said the first meeting at a halal restaurant in Los Angeles was a coincidence encounter that happened to meet after hearing the pair speak Arabic, court records show.

Court records show that the hijacker traveled to San Diego a few days later. Baiumi wants to earn referral fees and says supporting newcomers is typical in the Muslim community, but the kingdom’s lawyers were unable to provide evidence of similar help provided by Biomi.

According to court filings, the 9/11 committee recognized the hijackers dealing with Bai-Umi and Tsmeiree and considered them as accidental. However, the judge in the case thought that the kingdom’s lawyers did not properly explain why Baiyumi and Sm-Ailey called each other frequently.

“Until I take my last breath, I will fight for justice.”

According to Migliori, a lawyer for Motley Rice’s group, the ruling from federal courts in Manhattan has been a significant achievement for the victims’ families.

Sue Saudi Arabia has been impossible for many years because there was no legal path to sue foreign sovereignty in US courts.

In 2016, Congress enacted justice against the Terrorist Sponsorship Act. This narrowed the foreign immune protection and effectively allowed families to file lawsuits against Saudi Arabia.

Evidence, including plane drawings and Washington videos, was handed over by British authorities in 2022, moving the case forward. The family’s attorney said additional evidence from Scotland Yard has been dealt with.

The victim’s relatives said they have been making their efforts for decades due to the prolonged pain.

“This rule makes a lot of sense because until I take my last breath, I will fight for justice for him,” said Mary Gerati, who died when her husband’s battalion chief Edward Gerati attempted to save people from the tower. “We have been excluded as a nation from the events of the day, but for me, I closed my eyes and came back soon. The terrible death and suffering they endured.

Britain fires US ambassador Epstein’s “best buddy” Peter Mandelson

The email shows the close relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and former British ambassador, US Peter Mandelson.

play

Caribbean vacation with his former “best buddy” Jeffrey Epstein. Personal notes on the day of arrest of a sex trafficker. An inexplicable promise of meeting Mr. Big, who can help Epstein.

These and other revelations of apparent close ties between the UK’s US ambassador Peter Mandelson and late investor Epstein fired the diplomat on September 11th.

British Prime Minister Kiel sacked Mandelson on Thursday, recalling him from the embassy in Washington, D.C.

“The email indicates that the depth and scope of Peter Mandelson’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is substantially different from what was known at the time of his appointment,” the UK Foreign Office said in a statement. “In light of that, and with the victims of Epstein’s crimes in mind, he quickly made an effective move and retreated as ambassador.”

Before committing suicide in federal prison in 2019, Epstein faced long-standing and federal and state charges related to alleged orchestration of minor sex trafficking networks. The victims’ calls for justice continue today.

Congress released hundreds of pages of documents this week. This included 2003 books with 50th birthday messages to Epstein, edited by former partner convicted sex trafficker Gislaine Maxwell. The book is filled with many of them, many of whom are excited by prominent politicians, financiers and socialites, including the looted British ambassador.

“He remains my best companion.”

In a photo pasted in a birthday book in 2003, Mandelson relaxes in a white bathrobe while talking to Epstein.

Mandelson included handwritten notes. “Once upon a time, an intelligent, keen magical man called “mystical” in my life, he remains my best companion no matter where he is in the world! ” he added.

Another photo shows Mandelson on the dining table next to a slightly covered young woman and a note saying, “I’m leaving you with a ‘funny’ friend instead…”

This week, the birthday book made the news again this week when it published an obscene memo to Epstein, which includes a signature from President Donald Trump. Trump denies involvement in the memo.

“I think it’s your world.”

Mandelson’s memo continued after Epstein pleaded guilty to the Florida charges.

Federal prosecutors have stopped investigating sex trafficking, including dozens of minor girls, in exchange for pleas for the lesser state accusations.

Mandelson was rising through the class of British politics. At the time he was a European Trade Commissioner. He was later appointed to the Senate and took a cabinet-level role in the government.

And, having access to emails under a work release program that allowed him to leave prison and go to his office during the day, Epstein continued to write Mandelson asking him to curry favor with American political leaders.

Epstein sent a message to Mandelson.

After Epstein was released from prison in July 2009, their communications continued until at least 2012, Bloomberg reported, citing an email that surfaced in a 2023 lawsuit against JPMorgan about the role of investment banks in raising funds for Epstein’s trafficking rings. The bank settled out of court for $75 million.

Epstein remained free for about ten years before being arrested in 2019 on new federal sex trafficking charges by New York prosecutors. He was found dead in prison in August 2019. Investigators determined that he committed suicide.

NHC tracks tropical waves in the Pacific that can lead to depression

0

play

Kiko is dissipated in the Central Pacific, but there is a new obstruction that forecasters maintain tabs.

In an early morning consultation on Thursday, September 11, the National Hurricane Centre said it was tracking showers and thunderstorms associated with low-pressure areas off the southern coast of Mexico.

The system labelled EP95 continues to show signs of the organization, and environmental conditions are preferred for further development, Hurricane Centre predictors said in their advisory. Tropical depression could form on Thursday, September 11th, as the system is roughly parallel to southern Mexico and southwest coasts, but West Northwest Ward moves westward, according to the Hurricane Center.

Forecasters advise residents along Mexico’s southwest and southwest coasts to monitor the progress of the system as there is a possibility of 90% formation over the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, in the Atlantic, the NHC said it was tracking the predicted tropical waves appearing off the coast of West Africa by Friday, September 12th. Forecasters said environmental conditions could move east or west over the weekend and early next week.

The predictor gives the system the chance to form a 30% chance over the next 7 days.

Storm Tracker

This predicted track shows the most likely pathway in the center of the storm. The full width of the storm or its impact is not shown, and the storm center can move out of the cone for up to 33% of the time.

How do hurricanes form?

Hurricanes originate in the tropical regions above warm waters. Thunderstorm clusters can develop across the ocean when the water temperature exceeds 80 degrees. If conditions are correct, clusters are swirling into tropical waves and storms known as tropical depression.

Tropical depression becomes a named tropical storm when its sustained wind speed reaches 39 mph. When the wind reaches 74 mph, the storm officially becomes a hurricane.

Get ready for a hurricane now

Delaying preparations to potentially save lives could mean waiting until it’s too late. “Get disaster supply while the shelves are still in stock and flood insurance requires a 30-day waiting period, so get that insurance inspection early,” the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recommends.

  • Establish an evacuation plan. If you are at risk from a hurricane, you will need an evacuation plan. Now is the time to plan where you will go and how you will get there.
  • Assemble disaster supply. Whether you’re evacuated or not, you’ll need supplies not only to get through the storm, but perhaps for the long aftermath, NOAA said.
  • Get an insurance inspection and document your property. Contact your insurance company or agent now to ask for an insurance inspection to make sure you have enough insurance to repair or replace your home or belongings. Remember that housing and tenant insurance doesn’t cover floods, so you’ll need individual insurance for them. Flood insurance is available through your company, agent, or through your national flood insurance program. Flood insurance requires a 30-day waiting period, so take action now.
  • Create a family communication plan. NOAA says you should take the time to write down your hurricane plans and share them with your family. Determine where family gatherings are to be met and include out-of-town locations in case of evacuation.
  • It strengthens your home. Now is the time to improve the home’s ability to withstand hurricanes. Trim the wood and attach the storm shutter, accordion shutter and impact glass. Seal the wall opening.
