There are many reasons why people might want to wear their windows. Just for privacy, keeping the interior cool in the sun or for styling. On the average commute, windows in all shades of shades are displayed, but is it legal to wear a state window?

What does the law say about window tinting?

Every state has its own laws regarding window tinting, with rules enforced in different ways depending on where you live. These laws exist to ensure that drivers have clear visibility at all times.

Overall, the law of colour can be quite complicated. In some states there is no limit to how dark the rear window and rear windshield will be. For the front windows, the top 4 inches may be legal to the level you like, but the rest of the windows are you can’t It will be colored. To further complicate it, in some areas, such as Michigan, it is illegal to color other windshields unless there is a letter signed by a licensed doctor.

What does percentage mean?

The percentage used to describe the window tint includes Visible Light Transmission (VLT). This is the amount of visible light that can pass through the window tint. If the window has 30% window tint, 70% of the visible light can pass through.

What are reflective colours?

Most shades are dark and are intended to protect the light, but there are shades in the market that reflects the light. Available in a variety of colors, it offers a unique style for the colored windows. The dark shade rules apply to reflective shades. The only difference is that in most states, reflective tints are not allowed anywhere on the windshield, and it cannot exceed 35% on front and rear windows.

Why cover the windows of a vehicle?

Colored windows add privacy and make it difficult to see inside the car. It also keeps the interior of your vehicle cool and prevents heat from damaging your seat over time. The windshield colour reduces glare from light and sunlight, making it easier to see. For some, it’s about making your car look cool.

How much does it cost to color a car window?

Pricing depends on the darkness and type of movie used to color the windows. Expect to pay $200-500 for the car. Prices are just around the corner for trucks, vans and SUVs. If you want to save money and avoid placing your car in the store for a few hours, you can buy a movie in your own shade at an auto parts store or online and put it on yourself.

Is it legal?

Whether or not it is legal to color your windows depends on the condition you live in. It is best to be absolutely certain before dealing with a widow, so make sure you know what is becoming yourself first. Your best option is to refer to your state’s automotive department.

If you are unable to travel in person, the DMV website has a section on the Vehicle Equipment Act, including restrictions on window tints. This is the easiest way to learn about road rules in your area, and coloring your vehicle windows is perfect for you.

Cracker Barrel Applauses with Steak ‘n Shake CEO’s “Fire the CEO” Sign

Following criticism from fans over the change to the popular “old timer” logo, Cracker Barrel is currently facing heat from investors and competing executives.

The buyer of the Billboard in Nashville, Tennessee is CEO of Steak ‘N Shake of fast food chain Sardar Biglari, confirmed in a social media post on Thursday, September 18th.

Biglari, a longtime investor in Cracker Barrel and who owns nearly 3% of the company’s stake, is leading a proxy battle to remove Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino, according to a September 18 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Masino has been in this role since July 2023.

“Yes, this sign is responsible,” reads Steak ‘n Shake’s post on X. “The Cracker Barrel board of directors failed shareholders. It has spent over a decade fighting with one of its biggest shareholders, rather than working together for the company’s interests.”

A post from Steak n’Shake adds that cracker barrels are at the forefront of the “diversity, equity, inclusive) movement. However, the chain “has “degraded food quality and burned millions with failed acquisitions.”

“Now we run a proxy contest at our own expense to fire the CEO. Biglari is doing work that was cancelled by the board,” the post continues, reflecting similar points raised in a submission to the SEC in Biglari’s proxy application. “I’ll fire the CEO! Save the cracker barrel!”

“The stunt we’d expect from him.”

In a statement sent via email to USA Today on Friday, September 19, Cracker Barrel also confirmed that Biglari was behind the sign.

“This sign is exactly like the stunt you’d expect from him,” the statement reads. “For 14 years, shareholders have rejected selfish campaigns against cracker barrels. Starting personal attacks from billboards to disrupt businesses like cracker barrels is not something Tennessees would expect or take for granted.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, since 2011, Biglari has held seven proxy contests at Cracker Barrel. In a SEC application dated September 18, Biglari said he and his associates own 654,141 cracker barrel stocks, or 2.9% of the company’s shares.

In a call from investors following Cracker Barrel’s fourth quarter earnings report on September 17, the company’s chief financial officer Craig Penmelis said customer traffic fell by about 1% in early August. Since August 19, the official logo’s change date, traffic has fallen by around 8%, adding that the company is expecting a further 7% to 8% if the similar trend continues.

Despite the dilemma of changing logos, quarterly total revenue rose 4.4% to $868 million, according to Penmelis.

Cracker barrels have returned to the “old timer” logo after public protest

After announcing a switch from the “old timer” logo in August, Cracker Barrel was soon hit with backlash, including President Donald Trump.

“Cracker Barrel needs to go back to its old logo, acknowledge mistakes based on customer response (the ultimate poll) and manage the company more than ever,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on August 26.

With public protest, Mayno confirmed that the cracker barrel would return the logo to its original.

“We would like to thank our guests for sharing their voices and their passion for cracker barrels over the last few weeks,” Messino said in writing. “We listen, go back to the ‘Old Timer’ logo, pause with a modification, and put more emphasis on the kitchen and other areas that improve the guest experience. ”

CDC backtrack on remote work ban for disabled workers

0

play

According to an internal document shared with USA Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has put on hold on policy changes made earlier this week.

Authorized employees with qualified disability and medical issues were previously permitted to work from home if the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and CDC conditions were requested or justified. However, the recent HHS telework policy was issued on August 13th and not in effect until September 15th, but as previously reported by USA Today, an agency that was described as complying with President Donald Trump’s memorandum of return to occupation issued on February 7th has abolished the option.

As of Friday, September 19th, the CDC has at least temporarily reversed its measurement course. In an email reviewed by USA Today, employees were told by the CDC Human Resources Office (OHR) that the implementation of the new policy has been “pending” and that employees can continue their telework agreements until further notice.

One email from OHR sent to the CDC supervisors directed them to refrain from taking immediate action on the policy announced last month as the CDC is seeking “clearing” from the HHS. In one email sent to all staff, the CDC supervisor said he believes the move is a “tentative pause” until HHS provides more information.

USA Today had contacted HHS and CDC for comments.

Union President: “Eliminate civil rights violations”

President Yolanda Jacobs of the United States Government Employees Federation Region 2883, one of the unions representing CDC staff, has received existing approvals for dozens of people who have already had long-standing accommodations to work from home due to conditions such as multiple sclerosis, the immune system, or high-risk pregnancy. Jacobs said.

“This represents the most drastic civil rights violations against federal employees in decades,” the union said in a statement. Reasonable adjustments are protected by the Disability Persons Act and, for federal workers, the Rehabilitation Act (RA) of 1973, but the legal water around telework as specifically protected accommodation is muddy.

“Reversing such a surprising violation of federal disability law is a step in the right direction,” Jacobs said in a statement to USA Today. “For hundreds of employees with disabilities who will be seriously affected by a recent return to their attitude, I hope that the agency continues to do the right thing, legal.”

Colin Kaepernick initiative to cover Trey Reed’s independent autopsy

Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump announced Friday that Colin Kaepernick will “know your rights camp autopsy initiative,” covering the costs of a second independent autopsy for the late Delta State University student Demartravion “Trey” Reed.

Reed was found hanging from a tree on Delta State’s campus on September 15th. Officials at the Cleveland Police Department said the Mississippi Medical Inspector’s office conducted an autopsy, determined that the cause of Reid’s death was hanging and concluded that he committed suicide in his actions. The Cleveland Police Department added that the final toxicology outcome is ongoing and could take two to four weeks, according to a statement via Clarion Ledger, part of the USA Today Network.

According to a press release from Crump’s office, Reed’s family raised concerns after receiving incomplete information about the conflicting accounts and the circumstances of his tragic death.

“Trey’s death evoked the collective memories of communities that have suffered historical damage from many deaths. Peace will only come by reaching the truth,” the press release read. “Thank you to Colin Kaepernick for supporting this grieving family and the causes of justice and truth.”

Kaepernick played in the NFL for six seasons. His decision in the 2016 season caused public debate, as his decision to kneel during the national anthem to protest social injustice and police brutality.

The former quarterback has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season. Kaepernick filed a complaint against the NFL and alleged conspiracy against him. The parties reached a settlement in 2019.

Trump will offer a $1 million dollar “gold card” and create visa fees of 100,000 H-1B

0

Visa fees are part of Trump’s strategy to support us more than foreign-born workers as part of a greater crackdown on immigration.

play

  • Trump has applied $100,000 for an H-1B visa, which is primarily used by high-tech workers.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump has introduced an annual application fee of $100,000 on special visas widely used by technology companies to introduce foreign workers.

Trump has also signed an executive order to create a “gold card” for foreigners to pay $1 million to stay in the country forever, like a residency document known as the “green card.” He said that price tags ensure only the most extraordinary workers will receive them, and companies pay something similar to signing bonuses in professional sports.

“Hopefully we’ll bring great people to our country,” Trump said. “In this way, companies are like baseball and soccer signature bonuses, and businesses can keep them in the country.”

Trump’s fees are part of his strategy of supporting US citizens over foreign workers, and are in the wider crackdown on immigration. This includes the massive deportation of undocumented immigrants and the end of allowing asylum seekers to enter the country while lawsuits are pending. The State Department announced in August that visa holders would need $15,000 in bonds under the new program.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the so-called green cards are awarded to 281,000 people a year, earning an average of $66,000, and are likely to receive public assistance. He said the gold card fee ensures that only the best workers remain forever.

“It was illogical,” Rutnick said. “We’re going to bring only extraordinary people to the top.”

Lutnick said he supports major tech companies paying $100,000 a year to sponsor the best workers.

“All the big companies are on board,” Rutnik said.

The federal government has distributed 85,000 H-1B visas per year, primarily for high-tech employment, and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services said it has received sufficient annual petitions starting October 1st. Amazon has approved more than 10,000 visas and Meta each approved more than 5,000 visas this year.

The H-1B visa program is reserved for people who are frequently employed in technology, such as software engineers, high-tech program managers and other IT professionals. Visas have been approved for 3-6 years.

According to government data, India was the largest beneficiary of the H-1B visa last year, with 71% of approved beneficiaries being approved. China was the second distant number at 11.7%.

Visa critics, including many American technology workers, have argued that businesses will use H-1B visa workers to curb wages and hand over Americans for work.

Jimmy Fallon, John Stewart, Colbert, Letterman Talk Jimmy Kimmel

0

play

The late night scenery unites with Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel’s companions took part in their respective shows on Thursday night in the comedian’s defense after ABC suspended his comment that he had elicited harsh criticism from the head of the Charlie Communications committee “indefinitely.”

Many of the hosts have warned that they fear that the movement would mean for the sake of freedom of speech and the government’s future.

Stephen Colbert accused the suspension of “blatant censorship” at the start of his “Late Show” monologue on September 18th.

“A dictator cannot give you inches,” he said. “If the ABC thinks this will meet the administration, they are grossly naive and obviously they will not read children’s books “if they give Kimmel to the mouse.” And tell Jimmy I’ll stand 100% with you and your staff. ”

On “The Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon was more passive in his defense. “To be honest with you guys, I don’t know what’s going on. No one will,” he said. “But I know Jimmy Kimmel and he’s a decent, funny and loving guy and I hope he comes back.”

Fallon then joked about concerns that the late-night comedy show would be “censored.” He vowed to continue covering President Donald Trump with “just like me,” but later, studio narration began to blow his words away with excessive praise for the president.

In “Late Night,” Seth Myers reiterated his concern that Kimmel’s initial fix was under threat following his dropout with the ABC, FCC and Trump.

“I can just say that, just as it’s an honor to do this show every night, it’s a privilege and an honor to call Jimmy Kimmel to my friend,” he said. “I wake up every day and count the blessings of living in a country that at least claims to value freedom of speech.

“This is a huge moment in our democracy, and we all have to stand up to the principles of free expression,” Meyers continued. The comedian assured fans that despite the ironic bits he said he always “admired and admired,” his show would not change its critical tone out of fear of retaliation.

Another defense came from late-night legend David Letterman, who was retired. The original “Late Show” host expressed disappointment at Kimmel’s fate when he appeared at the Atlantic Festival on September 18th.

“In the world of people who are authoritarians and possibly dictatorial regimes, sooner or later, everyone will be moved,” Letterman said.

Sharing support from “My Best Friend” Kimmel, he continued, “Where is this heading, right, it’s management media. It doesn’t work. It’s stupid. It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous.

John Stewart took a different approach, opening the “Daily Show” in a “administrative-compliant” segment, cynically praised President Donald Trump, calling him “fully coloring,” and pretending to steal audiences when he booed with Trump.

“Our great administration has very clear rules on freedom of speech. Now some opposing sides may argue that the concerns of this administration’s speech are merely ironic tricks. A thin gr of tricks. “Some people will say that. But not me. I think it’s great.”

Judge abandons Trump’s $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times

The rejection of US District Judge Stephen Maryday comes days after Trump filed the lawsuit.

  • A federal judge dumped Trump’s $15 billion in honor and delinquency loss a few days after the New York Times filed it.
  • US District Judge Stephen Maryday said the lawsuit was “not a public forum for vitupations and bans.”
  • Maryday said Trump could revise the lawsuit, but said that 85 people weren’t filed first, but only 40 pages.

WASHINGTON – A federal judge has abandoned President Donald Trump’s $15 billion delinquent honour-lib loss and delinquent litigation against the New York Times.

Florida US District Judge Stephen Maryday refused the complaint, but filed another version of the lawsuit with Trump in 28 days. Trump had accused the newspapers of slandering him with malicious accusations, but the lawsuit lacked “a legitimate legal claim,” Maryday said.

“As all lawyers know (or are presumed to know), complaints are not a public forum of vituperation and crime — not a protected platform for enraged at the enemy,” writes Maryday, appointed by former President George H.W. Bush. “The complaint is not a megaphone for public relations, nor is it a passionate narrative podium at a functional ordination equivalent to the corner of a political gathering or Hyde Park speaker.”

The Trump lawsuit cited a series of newspaper articles, including editorials before the 2024 presidential election. He said he was not worthy of office.

“The defendants maliciously published books and articles that they know that these publications are filled with abominable distortions and forgery about President Trump,” the lawsuit filed September 15 stated.

The first lawsuit ran 85 pages, but Merryday limited the new version to 40 pages.

The lawsuit, dubbed reporters Suzanne Craig, Ross Buetner, Peter Baker and Michael Schmidt, is Michael Schmidt, along with the books of the Times and Penguin, as defendant. Craig and Buetner wrote the book.

The New York Times issued a statement welcoming the prompt decision.

“We welcome the judge’s prompt ruling, which we recognized that this complaint was a political document, not a serious legal application,” the statement said.

In a statement posted to the website, The Times responded, saying there was no merit in the lawsuit.

“It lacks legitimate legal claims and instead is an attempt to suppress and block independent reporting,” the statement read. “The New York Times will not be stopped by threatening tactics. We will continue to pursue facts without fear or favor, and will stand up for the journalist’s first revision and ask questions on behalf of the Americans.”

Rallystar Stunt Driver Inspires Detroit at Ford’s History Museum

  • Andrew Comrie-Picard is a rally champion and Hollywood stunt car driver.
  • He brought the message to push Detroit through the challenge with a fundraiser at the Ford Pique Avenue factory.

For Andrew Comley Picard, the successful stunts on the set of an action film starring Charlize Theron represent a “good day in the office.”

The 54-year-old Rally Racing Champion and Hollywood stunt driver had sets of vehicle controls from the backseat in advance with Theron and played the driver in the atomic blonde scene.

It wasn’t easy to have to look over Theron’s shoulder to do the operation, but Theron said, “We’ve rotated the steering wheel at the right time when we counted down from 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and it came together.

Comrie-Picard, or, as he knows, ACP, said he likes to do “hard things in the car,” but the native Canadian who lived in Los Angeles for about 15 years spoke at a fundraiser at the Ford Pickett Avenue factory on Friday, September 12th.

From the X Games medals, a list of achievements that have been part of a team that has stopped an astounding global vehicle expedition over both poles, distills the characteristics and mentality of extreme sports and explores lessons that anyone can use in their daily lives.

It’s about how people in extreme sports and expeditions deal with contingencies and find a way, he said.

In the film stunts, “We plan, plan, plan, but we need to be confident in the moment we do it. It’s a challenge to set up things as much as we can and realize that the outcome is not entirely certain, but we press the button.”

He said most people tend to overestimate the shortcomings of risk, he said.

Henry Ford offers examples of overcoming difficulties and even successful bankruptcy, Comley Picard said.

“That’s something everyone has to do to make the most of themselves,” he said.

Comrie-Picard spoke on the phone with Free Press, part of the USA Today Network, explaining his affinity for Detroit, where he felt his parent-ship, and his attention to his sense of entrepreneurship and urban rejuvenation.

It’s “a real story of grit and determination, and that kind of friction you get from so many people being creative and working really hard creates something amazing.”

According to Comrie-Picard, it’s also important to move on from failure.

“If you can go back from some failures and some epic mistakes and find success on the other side, if you have the right attitude to continue, if it’s a Detroit story, then you’ll realize that failure is not a very big deal,” he said.

When asked about his own mistake, Comrie-Picard was referring to a crash in the 2008 X game. The roof of the car was crushed and he said that his life and the life of his co-driver was probably saved by the restraint of the vehicle’s head and neck.

It was the car he was using at that time to make his living, “It was all gone, it was all terrifying.”

However, the extreme nature of crash fall landed it in the commercial, and he was rebuilt with more sponsors and later returned to X-games and medals.

Comrie-Picard pointed to his childhood, growing up as the only child on a farm in Alberta, Canada, where he explained that he was “raised with merciless negligence” and “a lot of time for me.” He learned to drive a tractor and was told to roll his father’s pickup at age 11 and fix it.

He was good at school, earned multiple degrees and eventually went to New York and became a lawyer. However, he stayed engaged throughout the car racing, and at least he allowed him to “buy a better race car.”

The National Rally Championship provided the driving force behind resigning that job for racing and ultimately television. Stunt work came later on on projects as diverse as Fast and the Furious and Deadpool films.

Last April he added the Transglobal automotive expedition to his list of achievements as part of the team that completed the first land and maritime intersections across both the geographical Arctic and Antarctic on one consecutive journey by car.

Or, as Comrie-Picard explained, “the most extreme vehicle expedition we’ve ever done.”

Comrie-Picard has broadened his interest in improving his autonomous driving efforts, but during his life he didn’t know what each step was, but he said he knew his general goals, what he was good at, what he enjoyed and what he could offer.

“I just kept working towards it and I think that’s why I can do what I do,” he said. “I’m really, really, really, really fortunate. I’m basically doing what I wanted to do when I was 11 on a farm dirt bike or tractor.

Trump hopes the Supreme Court will end Venezuelan deportation protections

0

play

WASHINGTON – The Trump administration is once again asking the Supreme Court to strip deportation protections for more than 300,000 Venezuelan immigrants.

In an emergency request filed on September 19, the Justice Department said the High Court should suspend a federal judge’s ruling that the government accidentally ended a program that allows immigrants to temporarily live and work in the United States for its country’s living conditions.

The Supreme Court took sides with the administration at the early stages of the case. In May, the judge lifted a temporary federal judge’s order to maintain the program as the case was filing a lawsuit.

Earlier this month, San Francisco Judge Edward Chen announced his final ruling against the administration. Chen and the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused to hold off its ruling while the administration appealed.

The Justice Department said the lower courts ignored previous interventions by the High Court.

“This court order binds the litigators and the lower courts,” Attorney General John Sauer said at his request. “Ignore them – as the lower courts did here – whether these orders are one sentence or extend to many pages – is not accepted.”

The court’s ruling does not include an explanation of why the administration was brought forward.

“It can only be deduced if no court rationale is provided,” the Court of Appeal said when explaining why the decision did not control the outcome at this stage of the lawsuit.

Additionally, the appeals judge said the court had more evidence to consider now, including the Department of Homeland Security carried out a “naked bone process” when it ended the program “in an unprecedented hurry, in an unprecedented way.”

“Neither we nor the Supreme Court had the advantage of reviewing this evidence when the government first sought an emergency stay for the District Court’s March 31 postponement order,” they wrote.

In February, Homeland Security Secretary Christi Noem ordered the end of a program called the temporary protection status for Venezuelans. She said immigrants will pay local governments and some Venezuelans are members of gang Tren de Aragua, whose president Donald Trump declared a foreign terrorist organization.

The advocacy group, National TPS Alliance and a small number of Venezuelans, suing, arguing that it was not safe for them to return to their home country.

Jessica Bansal, TPS advisor to TPS’ National Japan Labor Organization Network, said the Trump administration “has been spreading fear and chaos by systematically documenting legal immigrants and stripping people of immigrant status and job permission, with little notice.”

Tropical Storm Gabriel will be a hurricane by Sunday. See Tracker.

According to the National Hurricane Centre, Tropical Storm Gabriel continues to spin in the Atlantic and is expected to be reinforced by the end of the weekend.

In its September 19 recommendation, the Hurricane Centre said Gabriel is in the heart of about 915 miles southeast of Bermuda, with the largest sustained winds close to 50 mph and high gusts. Arashi struggles to put it together in a partially exposed center. However, predictors are hoping for “gradual strengthening,” and Gabriel is expected to become a hurricane by Sunday, September 21st.

Gabriel is moving towards West Northwest at 12:00 p.m. and will be gradually turning northwest by Friday night, September 19th, followed by a north-northwest turn by Saturday night, September 20th.

In the predicted track, the Hurricane Centre is expected to pass east of Bermuda on Sunday night, September 22nd and Monday. Gabriel’s centre is expected to be at least 160 miles east of Bermuda, but the centre advises island residents to continue to monitor the progress of the storm, as the average three-day track error is about 100 miles. For now, Bermuda is 20%-25% likely to experience strong tropical storm winds.

The ocean near Gabriel’s centre runs close to 20 feet, and is projected to be as high as 28 feet by September 22, according to the Hurricane Center’s Tropical Analysis and Forecast Division. According to the Hurricane Centre, the inflation it is being produced will arrive in Bermuda and be built throughout the weekend, causing life-threatening waves and rifts.

Gabriel is expected to remain strong in the hurricane as he will head northeasterly in the Atlantic by Tuesday, September 23rd.

The Hurricane Centre is also tracking tropical waves off the west coast of Africa, which predictors say can slowly develop. For now, there is a chance of 20% generation over the next 7 days.

Tropical Storm Gabriel Tracker

This predicted track shows the most likely pathway in the center of the storm. The full width of the storm or its impact is not shown, and the storm center can move out of the cone for up to 33% of the time.

Tropical Storm Gabriel Spaghetti Model

The illustrations include an array of prediction tools and models, not all are created equal. Hurricane Centers can help you make predictions using only the top four or five top performance models.

The NHC is also paying attention to two systems in the Pacific Ocean.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Pacific, the Hurricane Center is monitoring two systems that could develop into tropical precipitation in the coming days.

For the first purpose, the investment is labelled 96L hundreds of miles south and southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. In a September 19 recommendation, the forecaster said the system “has no clearly defined surface circulation.”

However, short-lived tropical depression could still form before the system encounters cooler sea surface temperatures and dry air, which would further hinder development, predictors have put the chance of development at 40%.

The Hurricane Center is likely to develop a second system, a “large area of confused showers and thunderstorms,” hundreds of miles south of Mexico’s southern coast. Associated with low-pressure troughs.

The Hurricane Center said environmental conditions appear to encourage gradual development of the system, and said that moving westward northwestward, almost parallel to the southern and southwest coasts of Mexico could result in tropical depression being formed by mid-week. The Center has set the development potential of 30% for over 48 hours and 70% for the next 7 days.

How do hurricanes form?

Hurricanes originate in the tropical regions above warm waters. Thunderstorm clusters can develop across the ocean when the water temperature exceeds 80 degrees. If conditions are correct, clusters are swirling into tropical waves and storms known as tropical depression.

Tropical depression becomes a named tropical storm when its sustained wind speed reaches 39 mph. When the wind reaches 74 mph, the storm officially becomes a hurricane.

Get ready for a hurricane now

Delaying preparations to potentially save lives could mean waiting until it’s too late. “Get disaster supply while the shelves are still in stock and flood insurance requires a 30-day waiting period, so get that insurance inspection early,” the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recommends.

  • Establish an evacuation plan. If you are at risk from a hurricane, you will need an evacuation plan. Now is the time to plan where you will go and how you will get there.
  • Assemble disaster supply. Whether you’re evacuated or not, you’ll need supplies not only to get through the storm, but perhaps for the long aftermath, NOAA said.
  • Get an insurance inspection and document your property. Contact your insurance company or agent now to ask for an insurance inspection to make sure you have enough insurance to repair or replace your home or belongings. Remember that housing and tenant insurance doesn’t cover floods, so you’ll need individual insurance for them. Trump downplays Stephan Miran’s concerns over the Fed’s independence

0

Since joining the Fed’s board, Stephen Miran has defended his push for more aggressive interest rate cuts in an interview with CNBC.

play

New Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Milan defended the Fed’s call for more aggressive interest rate cuts at its latest meeting, downplaying the risks against tariff inflation and defending concerns that his actions were affected by President Donald Trump.

Milan’s hastily confirmed case and the Trump administration’s efforts to fire federal governor Lisa Cook raised concerns about central bank autonomy. Milan argues that he will operate independently of politics and make decisions based on his own data and interpretation of the economy.

Milan said the president called him on the morning of September 16th to celebrate his new role, but the two did not discuss future votes. Milan was the only governor to challenge the half-cent point cut rather than the quarter-cent point cut that was advanced by the Fed.

“He didn’t ask me to take certain actions, I didn’t commit to certain actions. I put the points based on my economic analysis. That’s what I’m continuing,” Milan told CNBC’s “Money Movers” in his first interview since joining the Fed on September 19th.

Milan says Trump didn’t affect his decision

Milan, who is taking leave from his White House advisory role, is called the argument that he is making the president’s bid “silly.”

He added that he did not resign from the White House Economic Advisors Council because his Fed term ends within five months. If asked to pass January, he said he would “quickly” resign from his advice role.

For months, Trump has been working to pressure the Fed to more aggressive interest rate cuts, filling the seven-member committee with his appointees. According to a September 17 memo from Ey-Parthenon chief economist Gregory Daco, the efforts added “higher political tensions” to the latest Fed Conference.

“This dynamic can shape market expectations, raise risk premieres, and constrain the flexibility of the Fed’s policy if its reliability is raised question,” Daco said. “History shows that when central banks operate under political influence, economic outcomes tend to be suboptimal.”

The Senate narrowly confirmed Milan’s position on the Fed’s board just before kickoff of the two-day meeting in September. He fills the empty seats left by former governor Adriana Kugler, who resigned in August.

Milan downplays the impact of tariffs on inflation

He said he was more aggressive at the first Fed meeting to cut prices and that he saw no evidence of “material inflation from tariffs.”

“I don’t think there’s much evidence of any of these things,” he told CNBC. “I’m seeing disinflation coming from border policies, and I’m seeing downward pressure coming from other troops, like deregulation.”

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has previously said there are indications that tariffs are beginning to appear in consumer prices, but the “rational basic case” is that tariffs will spur a one-off price shift rather than a more sustained inflation effect.

“But there is also the possibility that the inflation effect will be more permanent, and that is a risk of being evaluated and managed,” Powell said at a press conference following the latest Fed meeting. “Our duty is to ensure that one-time price levels rise does not become an ongoing inflation problem.”

Milan confirmed he is the only Fed governor in 2025 as the project rate actively fell from 2.75% to 3%.

He said he plans to share details of his reasoning during his speech on September 22nd and hopes to persuade other governors to take a more aggressive rate approach.

“I was sworn about an hour before the meeting began,” Milan said. “The way the Fed works is by persuasion, so I will have my argument in the coming weeks and months.

Trump adds $100,000 to his H-1B Worker Visa

0

The President intends to restrict the use of H-1B visas, which will allow skilled workers from other countries to work in the United States.

play

SAN FRANCISCO — President Donald Trump is planning to introduce a new $100,000 application fee for H-1B workers visas, according to White House officials, to reduce his use as part of his wider immigration crackdown.

The Republican president was expected to sign a declaration on September 19, which would limit entries under the H-1B visa program on September 19, unless the application fee was paid, officials said. Trump also planned to order changes to the general wage levels of the H-1B program as a way to limit use.

The H-1B programme has become important for technology and staffing agencies that rely on foreign workers to play a variety of technical roles.

Amazon received over 10,000 approvals in 2025 on the list of companies with the most H-1B visas, but the Facebook-owned Microsoft and Meta platforms had over 5,000 H-1B visa approvals each, according to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Bloomberg News previously reported Trump’s intention to sign an order regarding his H-1B visa application.

Shares of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp, an IT services company that relies widely on H-1B visa holders, fell more than 5% on Friday.

Visa critics, including many American technology workers, have argued that businesses will use H-1B visa workers to curb wages and otherwise hand over Americans for qualified jobs.

India was the biggest beneficiary of the H-1B visa last year, accounting for 71% of approved beneficiaries, but China was the distant second at 11.7%, according to government data.

The H-1B Visa program is reserved for people who are frequently employed in the technology field in the professional position. Can include software engineers, high-tech program managers and other IT professionals. The H-1B visa has been approved for 3-6 years.

The death of a student at the University of Mississippi discovered that he was hanging.

MS – An autopsy by the Mississippi Medical Examiner’s Office concludes that a black student was found to have died from suicide when a body hanging from a tree at Delta State University died of suicide.

The results of the autopsy conducted on September 17th coincided with initial investigation and preliminary examination by the local coroner’s office, according to the Cleveland Police Department. The state’s medical inspector’s office determined that the cause of death for Demartravion “Trey” Reed was hanging and that the way he died was suicide.

“The final toxicological results are pending and may take two to four weeks to complete,” police said in a news release, saying all files and materials related to the investigation have been handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Reed, 21, from Grenada, Mississippi, was hanging from a tree in the middle of Delta State’s campus, behind the Pickles Ball Court, around 7:05 a.m. on September 15th, according to university police. At the time, authorities said there was no evidence of a foul play and that he committed suicide by death.

The incident rekindled conversations about the long history of racial violence in Mississippi. Reid’s death prompted anger and skepticism about social media, prompting civil rights leaders and organizations to seek transparency and justice in their investigations.

Delta State University enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year with over 2,600 students, with over 40% of Black people. The campus is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, just west of the county and is associated with the lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till.

School Police Chief: There is no evidence of foul play

Delta State University President Dan Ennis and University Police Chief Michael Peeler both said at a press conference on September 15th that there was no evidence of a foul play in the case.

Peeler called the death an “isolated incident” and said there was no active threat to students or faculty. The university said several law enforcement agencies are helping to investigate the deaths.

Reid’s body was found on the university’s scheduled 100th anniversary celebration and forced to cancel classes and events for the day. In a video posted on the university’s Facebook page on September 16, Ennis said the university is reopening its business while students, faculty and staff continue to lament.

Ennis did not comment on the state autopsy report on September 18, according to Mississippi Clarion Ledger, part of the USA Today Network.

Cleveland police said on September 18 that the investigation remains ongoing and no further details will be made public at this time. The FBI previously said it was ready to investigate “when the information becomes apparent in the course of a field investigation into a potential federal violation.”

“Our thoughts and prayers will remain with Reid’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time. We want to encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out for help,” Cleveland Police Chief Travis Tribull said in a statement.

Local Coroner Disputes make claims over death

Following the incident, rumors spread on social media claiming Reid had two broken legs, causing other injuries he would have been hanging. These speculations were contested in a statement late September 15 by Bolivar County Coroner Randolph Sil Jr.

The County Coroner’s Office was notified by the Cleveland Police Department at 7:32 a.m. local time about “unresponsive individuals” at Delta State University, according to the statement. The coroner’s office responded to the scene at 8:08am and found a “subject hanging from a tree,” the statement added.

See the video as Dan Ennis, president of Delta State University, speaks a few words about mental health during his candle vigil in Trey Reed’s square.

“Based on the preliminary examination, we can confirm that the deceased did not suffer any assault, combined fracture, fracture, or injury consistent with the attack,” the statement continued. “At this point, there is no evidence to suggest that the individual was physically attacked prior to his death.”

In a September 18 statement, Sean Tindel of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety shared the sadness of the Reed family and condemned rumors about the incident.

“I could say he was really upset.”

Jy’quon Wallace, president of the African American Student Council, said he saw Reid on September 14, hours before the tragedy was a heated debate on the phone.

“I woke up that morning and heard that I found someone hanging from a fruit tree near Blancet Hall. Who could you do,” said Wallace, 20, from Baldwin. “They said it was a red-haired black man. I thought I just saw this guy with a red-haired accessory. Then more explanation came up and it was a red-haired accessory, not a red-haired one.

Wallace said he and his roommate were out for food when he saw Reid sitting on the phone himself in front of Blancet Hall. “I asked him if he was okay,” Wallace recalled, “He looked up at me, then looked down at his phone and said nothing.

When they returned, Wallace said he and his roommates saw the lead again in the distance.

“I could say he was really upset,” Wallace recalled. “He was making gestures and acting like he was throwing things. He kicked the wall and then he raided towards Blancet Hall.

Advocates are looking for transparency and thorough investigation

Although authorities said they had found no evidence of foul play, Reid’s death prompted a call for transparency among supporters who pointed to a history of Mississippi lynching and racially motivated violence in the 19th and 20th centuries.

US Rep. Benny Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, called for a federal investigation into Reid’s death.

“We should not turn the stones over looking for answers. The details of this incident are still emerging, but we cannot ignore the painful history of lynching and racial violence against African Americans,” Thompson said in a statement.

NAACP, the oldest civil rights organization in the United States, has also announced its response.

In a social media post on September 16, NAACP said in a photo that read “The man was lynched yesterday,” “we will have to excuse our skepticism amid racially motivated violence targeting communities across the country.”

“So, while we await a more formal autopsy report and information, we are certainly offering this history on a level. Our people have historically not hanging out of the trees,” Post further said.

Prominent civil rights lawyers demand video evidence release

At a press conference on September 16, attorney Vanessa J. Jones said her company is representing Reid’s family and is launching its own investigation into his death, starting with an independent autopsy.

“We seek answers independently of Delta State University and the coroner’s office, and we are independent of the state coroner’s office because we need answers about what happened to Trey Reed, if necessary,” Jones said. “Did you have a camera? The university should have a camera that can easily educate you on what happened in the early hours of September 15th, 2025.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who handled famous cases, including the police murder of a black American, is also held by Reed’s family. Crump said in X that the family “cannot accept ambiguous conclusions when there are so many questions left.”

On September 17th, Crump requested the release of video footage in the case. The university previously recognized videos related to the investigation that had not yet been released.

“By requiring families to watch the video and allowing them to entrust an independent autopsy, we are taking every step to uncover the truth about what happened to Tray,” Crump said in a statement. “Every student deserves to feel safe where they live and learn, which is why it’s so important to reach the bottom of this tragedy.”

Crump and Jones did not immediately respond to Clarion Ledger’s request for comment on September 18th.

Do you have any taxes as a hint? Which workers and tips will qualify?

0

play

The federal agency has pledged to President Donald Trump’s “Tax-No-Title” campaign to issue a new September 19 guidance, pledging reality to eligible filers starting with income in 2025.

Under the provisions of one big beautiful bill law signed in July, eligible workers can deduct “qualified” tips of up to $25,000 from their taxable income each year until 2028.

The new Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service proposed regulations on the federal register, detailing which jobs will be subject to the rules and what would be considered “qualified” hints.

Which workers qualify?

According to the Ministry of Finance, those who receive hints from jobs that have been “conventional and regularly” received hints by December 31, 2024 are eligible for tax benefits.

The Treasury list of qualified occupations includes many jobs. Among them are bartenders, wait staff and food servers. However, tax incentives range from gambling dealers, clowns, DJs, celebrities, content creators, maids, electricians, plumbers, babysitters, drivers, and more.

This deduction is available to both itemized and inappropriate taxpayers, but will ripple in stages for adjusted gross income of over $150,000 or for taxpayers of $300,000 for joint filers. It is not available to married couples who submit separately.

According to the IRS, the maximum annual deduction is $25,000, and for self-employed people, a deduction that “does not exceed the net profit of workers from the trade or business where hints were acquired” “may not exceed the net profit of workers.”

Employments that fall under “Designated Trade in Services or Enterprises” or SSTBS are not eligible for tax benefits. The Ministry of Finance previously outlined a list of SSTBs, including areas such as healthcare, legal and financial services, and the performing arts.

What counts as a “qualified” hint?

Tips are reported to the worker’s employer and the W-2 must be focused on qualifying. Self-employed workers and contractors can qualify for profit as long as tips on year-end tax forms are also reported.

The IRS defines “qualified tips” as voluntary cash or billed tips received through a customer or tip sharing. Required tips and automatically applied rewards are not counted. Eligible tips must be determined by the payer and given voluntarily.

The Treasury has made it clear that the proposed regulations do not qualify for tips given for illegal services, prostitution and pornographic activities. To prevent reclassification of income as a qualifying tip, the proposed regulations make it clear that the hint is not qualifying if the recipient is owned or adopted by the tipper.

It is still necessary to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes along with state and local taxes to benefit from the new deduction.

Senate votes against fundraising bill and shuts down

0

With the week of holiday approaching, lawmakers now have several days to avoid government funding lapses. It doesn’t look good.

play

WASHINGTON – Hours after StopGup government funding measures passed the House, the Senate overthrew it, raising prospects for a shutdown in more than a week.

The senator voted against Bill 48-44, backed by the GOP.

On the same day, Senate Republicans also defeated the Democratic version of an extension of government fundraising. Their laws that GOP leaders denounced as partisanship would have overturned Medicaid cuts and extended Obamacare subsidies, which expire at the end of the year.

Moreover, the Democratic bill would have been set for stone protection to prevent the White House from withholding money allocated by Congress.

As lawmakers prepared to postpone ahead of next week’s Jewish holiday, their fingertips were fully on display on Capitol Hill.

Speaking to reporters before the vote, Senate majority leader John Toon, R-South Dakota, said President Donald Trump was ready to sign a seven-week fundraising extension for the GOP. If it survived Congress, that’s it.

Instead, Democrats “put out the most partisan law possible to cling to the ongoing resolution to fund the government for seven weeks,” he said. “It’s daunting.”

In a speech from the Senate floor, Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer claimed that Americans are tired of the Trump administration’s agenda. Democrats had to take a stand to protect American health care, he said.

“Republicans vote to make sure the status quo is enough. They’re wrong,” Schumer said. “By trying to create this party by not even negotiating, Donald Trump and Republicans are shutting down the government.”

If lawmakers don’t come back next week, they will come back on September 29th and give them just two days to avoid a shutdown. Funds expire in the middle of the night on September 30th.

Nissan will cancel Ariya Electric SUV in 2026, find out why

0

Nissan is sending Aliya to the great junkyard in the sky.

play

  • Nissan Aliya has arrived as a 2022 model year to compete in the EV space.
  • Nissan has prioritized the new EV, a redesigned leaf subcompact SUV with a standard operating range at a more affordable price.

According to Automotive News, Nissan is killing the nameplate of an electric vehicle on the market just three years later.

Japanese automakers are struggling to create best-selling electric SUV models to compete with their rivals from Tesla, Ford and Hyundai. Now, despite the model being on the streets for several years, it is removing the only production electric SUV for North America.

Most major automakers are entering the EV space with competitive products. Here’s why removing Aliya allows Nissan to regain its racing to make a bestselling electric car:

Nissan Aliya was cancelled in 2026

Nissan’s Aliya is a small, unsold electric SUV, and is part of its major rivals. According to the sales report, the company sold 9,345 Aliya units in 2024 and 11,619 units as of July. In contrast, Ford sold 22,234 Mustang Mach-E electric SUVs in 2024, and sold 21,785 units in the second quarter. Ford has gone through the sale of the 2024 Mustang Mach-E and put the rocket in the rocket.

Hyundai sold 18,728 small IONIQ 5 SUV models in 2024. According to the company’s sales report, as of the second quarter of 2025, 19,092 models were sold. Nissan’s small electric SUV is not the worst sales model in its segment, but it’s no secret that the company struggles to withstand car fares, mergers failures and the rise of global competition.

Is the Nissan Ariya a good SUV?

The 2025 Nissan Aliya starts at $39,770. It produces 214 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The base model Aliya gains a driving range of 216 miles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n5oyx_hnh0

Nissan Ariya Standard Function

  • Leather appointed seat
  • Heated leather covered steering wheel and heated seat
  • Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Start
  • Intelligent blind spot intervention
  • Front/rear parking sensors

Ariya’s Edmunds review found that EVs have “outdated infotainment graphics” and “lower than average DC fast charging rates.” The BBC’s top gear featured the Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E with high overall scores.

The Aliya has a comfortable interior and solid standard driver assistance and safety features, but it’s not the EV that turns things around for Nissan. Enter the third generation Nissan Leaf, one of the brand’s most audacious redesigns in recent years.

The Future of Nissan EVS: 2026 Nissan Leaf

Nissan’s next electric vehicle release is the new leaf model. The redesigned Nissan Leaf will be a subcompact, affordable electric SUV, smaller than Aliya. Starting at $29,990, this is much cheaper than Aliya.

According to Nissan, the 2026 Leaf S+ Base model has an estimated drive range of 303 miles. The latest EVs from Japanese car manufacturers are a better deal for most drivers in terms of pricing and practicality (driving range). Nissan will need to “cut down production plans” due to battery shortages, but is expected to be released in the fall, Reuters said.

Major automakers are making competitive electric vehicle production more important for companies such as Toyota to redesign their existing EV nameplates and make them more attractive (Toyota BZ). EVs like the Chevrolet Equinox EV and Honda Prologue have acquired steam based on a second quarter sales report from automotive research site Cox Automotive. Nissan’s new leaf is another opportunity for automakers to secure market share in the EV space, but is it competitive enough to bring the company’s victory?

Kayleigh McEnany talks about the new Fox Show, Charlie Kirk and Karoline Leavitt

0

Former Trump Press Director Kaylee McKennanny is set to hold a new Fox News Show. Now she’s talking about Charlie Kirk and Caroline Leavit in the past

play

NEW YORK – She left a taddy interaction with reporters in the backview. The White House press briefing room has been in the past. This is likely to be her close relationship with President Donald Trump.

After leaving Fox News’ first Trump White House, Kayleigh Mcenany became a star of the cable network he once interned.

The three of them are currently adding new roles to host the two-hour program “Saturday in America” (10 ET), which will premiere on September 20th. McNanney, 37, continues to “fall up” along with two additional rotating hosts, Harris Faulkner and Emily Companue.

“It’s a great responsibility to give me this opportunity to bring news on Saturday,” Mcenany says from Fox News HQ Cafeteria in Manhattan on September 17th. “There’s a lot of seriousness. When the news cycle guarantees that, we’re going to enjoy it.”

Her first guest is no surprise. Caroline Leavit, a former White House employee at McNanney and current White House press secretary, was chosen to adopt the former boss fighting style with traditional media outlets.

The first episode of the show also pays tribute to Charlie Kirk, the founder of the conservative wonder and Turning Point USA, who was shot and killed in Utah on September 10th.

Charlie Kirk was a “kind” and “compassionate” man, says Kayley McKennanny

There was a text from Kirk at around 6pm on September 9th. Kirk had sent a message about his family. McEnany said he was going to tell him about “Saturday” the following day. Kirk was then shot.

“I was very excited to share it with him, and I never had to send that text,” McNanney says. “When I retreated and thought, ‘What is Charlie Kirk’s legacy? What does he want to say to me?”

“He wants me to tell him he loves the Lord. I know he is with him,” adds McEnany. “I know that, I know, I know, I know, I know that he was with the Lord now and that it was the center of Charlie Kirk’s existence.”

Another national debate has been taking place since Kirk’s death. Critics believe they trafficked people with opinions that promote racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism and other prejudice. McEnany has another view.

“Show me where he was hated. If you really saw the breadth of Charlie Kirk’s work, when he got caught up in the question, he always knew he was the questioner he loved deeply,” McEnany said. “He cared – he cared about the person’s soul – kind and compassionate.”

Kaylee McNanney wants to highlight the civic discourse on “Saturday”

In “Saturday America,” McNanney wants to highlight the public discourse that Kirk’s supporters claimed he led on a potential guest list that spans his political age. McKennanny wants to invite all of Maga Republicans to Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania), New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani, and democratic socialists.

“When I say the whole spectrum, I mean from people like Mamdani to people who are traditional conservatives,” says McEnany. “How do you survive these ordeals? By talking together, by talking to civil matters,” she continues. The Florida native graduated from Georgetown University and studied abroad at Oxford before being first hired at Fox.

On the network, she started as a production assistant before becoming an associate producer for “Mike Huckaby Show.” McEnany then attended Harvard Law School and also worked as a commentator for CNN.

“I’ve loved it – I don’t use words much, argument – but the discourse I had at Harvard Law School with people I thought were very different from me,” McEnany says. After leaving CNN in August 2017, she was appointed national spokesman for the Republican National Committee, and by 2020 McInanney was hired as a White House press secretary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccj5aaguji

“It’s a moment when you’re literally living history, but for me it was meant to be in that period of 2020,” she says. Critics say she slammed Trump’s misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic and more, but Magazine’s fanbase loved the conflict with reporters (she told CNN’s Cate Lancolins in a fiery exchange of “I won’t call activists.”

It seems she hasn’t missed the job.

“I’m happy where I am. I love the Fox family and I can meet the kids,” says McKennanny. She welcomed her third child, Avery Grace, along with her husband, former MLB player Sean Gilmartin in June.

Trump’s “milk toast” jab

At Fox, McNanney’s relationship with Trump was cooled during former President Joe Biden’s sole term. He reported on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ major campaign for the 2024 president, and then denounced her in a May 2023 truth social post, calling her mirquetoast, or weak.

“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany has released Foxnews’ wrong poll numbers. I’m not 25, and I’m up 34 points in Desanctimonious. 25 is great, but not 34.” “She knew that this number was revised upward by the group that polled. Linos and globalists can have her. FOXNEWS should only use real stars!!!”

McEnany downplayed rumours of the rift. “It’s the water under the bridge. It’s what it is. I’m about what’s best for this country, the future of the country,” she says. “I personally don’t take things. If that were the case, I wouldn’t have existed in politics or the media.”

“So when I think the story deserves it, I deal with the president, but mainly because he leads the country in the free world and I do my thing at Fox News, I think it’s a friendly and heartfelt relationship,” adds McEnany.

But in Fox’s eyes, she is a real star. On her show, McNanney welcomes Trump’s new spokesman, Caroline Leavitt. It was when a 28-year-old colleague created McInerney’s “Heirs” when it was announced as his first guest. “I think there is a heavy burden in our country, thanks to her heart, and especially at this point,” McEnany says.

“When I look at Caroline’s tenure at the White House, I see people who are bringing the same accountability I have brought – she knows she loves the people of America.

Maga fan favorite, Leavitt is also known for his tense moments with the traditional press that drew cheers from their base. “You’re a reporter, you should find it.”

In the young mom Levitt, she can see her past self, and Levittt can see the following:

“The core of my existence is not my politics. It’s not. The core of my existence is my faith and the fact that I am in a place that allows me to become my true self,” McEnany says of her employer. “I’ve never been told what to say. I’m just sharing my mind. That’s the only place I want to be.”

On September 20th, McNanney will see her own new future: her own show, on her own terms, Fox News.

Harris Slams ‘Shifty’ JD Vance in New Book: Highlights

0

Kamala Harris has made JD Vance a Rips Rips in her new book, 107 Days, about the 2028 candidate’s actions on the campaign trail.

play

  • “JD Vance is a shapeshifter, and a shifty guy,” Harris writes in her new book.
  • Kamala Harris also panned the performance of her running fellow Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz in the 2024 Vice Presidential debate.

WASHINGTON – There is no lost love between Kamala Harris and her successor.

“JD Vance is a shapeshifter, and a shifty guy,” Harris writes in her new book.

Comments on Vance are one of several opportunities where Harris denounces the vice president and potential 2028 presidential candidate in a memoir of the campaign, which will be released on September 23rd.

The slap comes in a passage about the Vice President’s argument that Vance faces off against her running fellow Tim Waltz.

Harris writes that Vance understood that his “default meanness” did not work well against Waltz’s nature and perseverance, and he understood that he tightened his “anger and shaming” during the discussion accordingly.

It worked, she says, and the waltz fell for it.

“There was no cat woman, no pet-eating Haitian, no personal humiliation. But calm, Appalachian pretends to have many common positions with its lovely Midwest coach,” she writes.

Harris says the scene played in her living room as Waltz nodded with Vance is probably a clenching voice over her running buddy’s performance, just as Saturday Night Live portrays it.

“I didn’t actually spit out the wine, but otherwise it was creepy to our night portrait,” Harris said of the comedy skit.

Knife for JD vance

In another part, Harris writes about when Vance raised her convoy. He was at the same Wisconsin airport as she left the car as he was about to pull away to inspect Air Force 2.

“I just wanted to check out future planes,” he told reporters.

Harris tears his successor apart for violating all the security and protocol rules associated with the move. “If I knew he was pulling that boy’s stunt, I tended to step out of my car and use the words I think I pronounced the most. It starts with an M and ends with an AH.”

The incident happened a day after she named Walz’s running companion. Harris says he was being peeked at Vance at the time to attack the governor of Minnesota for comments he made about military service.

After more than 20 years of service running for Congress, Waltz had been deployed to Italy to support US operations in Afghanistan before retiring from the military in 2005. However, in 2018 he urged an attack from Vance, referring to a weapon “carried in the war.”

Vance accused Walz of “stolen courage” and claimed he had abandoned his troops.

Waltz hadn’t seen the battle. But neither of them had Vance, she wrote. His military service consisted of four years in the Marine Corps’ Public Relations Division.

“I was eager to see Vance crouching down very low to hurt and rattle fellow veteran, a better man,” says Harris.

The victim of the Pennsylvania police ambush was remembered as heroes

It attracted the attention of the FBI to catch babies from a burning building. The victims of the Pennsylvania police ambush are:

play

More than 15 years ago, when he locked up his family in a three-story apartment in York County, Pennsylvania, a local police officer rushed to the back of the building, standing up on the roof below, screaming for the woman and her children to jump.

His mother, Diana Estremera, was terrifying. She had babies, six and four years old, along with her. But Cody Becker, a Northern York County area police officer, told her to trust him. He will catch them.

At three months old, Estremera descended her children nearly 10 feet from the window. Becker captured each child and handed them over to the retreat route and bystanders. Afterwards, Estremera lowered herself and fell into Becker’s arm.

Becker’s actions in June 2010 attracted the attention of the FBI and were hailed as heroic. He had been working with the department for only a year at that time, but he continued to serve for years more, following his acclaim and acclaim for his sudden, short career cuts this week.

Becker was one of five law enforcement officers shot while trying to arrest a suspected stalker. The suspect fired fire at them and killed Becker and two fellow officers in North Codra Township on September 17th.

“They were great,” York County District Attorney Tim Barker said. “They were mission-led, and that day they continued their mission.”

Becker is now a detective sergeant. Detective Mark Baker. Detective Isaiah Emmenheiser was appointed as the victim of the September 17 shooting. Everything was part of North York County Regional Police Station. Another sheriff’s aide, not named another Northern Regional Detective, was seriously injured in what Barker described as a “brutal ambush” and “murderous runaway.”

The three police officers were killed when they went to serve as an arrest warrant for a man accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend at the home where he lived with his mother. The man fired fire at the officers from inside the female farmer as the woman tried to enter. Authorities said the suspect was Matthew Ruth, 24. Ruth was killed by returning a shot from an officer. The woman who lived there left for safety the night before and was unharmed.

If the woman had returned to the house and the officers weren’t there, “they would have been killed immediately by the actor,” Barker said.

The fallen officers were highly regarded by the law enforcement community and praised for their police work and heroic actions. Here’s what we know about the officers we killed:

. Sergeant. Cody Becker

Becker was an athlete who was a class-class football player at Spring Grove Area High School in 2004. He was a veteran police officer who achieved the rank of Sergeant who received many accolades and recognitions.

One of those accolades was to rescue the family from a burning building in North York on June 8, 2010.

Becker had previously faced danger. In 2013 he faced off against a man walking towards him with a rifle, and Becker fired him multiple times. The fatal incident was considered a suicide by a police officer.

According to his LinkedIn page, Northern York County Regional Police detective Mark Baker has been an officer in the department for more than 20 years.

In his role as an executive, Baker received praise from several chiefs, including one in 2011, for his role in perfecting multiple important tasks during a domestic shooting incident involving a man who allegedly shot his wife dead in a suburban townhouse neighborhood. Baker helped arrest the suspects, assisted the victims, and ensured the safety of the community.

In 2012, he and 13 fellow officers were recognized for resolving a volatile seven-hour standoff. In the same year, Baker served as an instructor at a computer training event held in Budenheim, Germany, attended by more than 120 active computer investigators representing 66 countries. In the northern region, he specialised in investigating computer crime.

York County defense attorney Dawn Kia, who filed a lawsuit involving a detective, described Baker as a “rational” and “open-minded” person who always wanted to do the right thing.

. Isaiah Emmenheiser

det. Isaiah Emmenheiser joined the Northern Region shortly after graduating from York University in 2004. In 2011, he was recognized as an officer of the division of the year and was later promoted to detective.

While working in May 2015, Emmenhazer dodged the bullet while responding to a call to a man with a weapon allegedly surged into the woman’s house.

As Emmen Heiser entered the house and he entered the basement, “I turned around and looked at him, and saw him in the doorway aimed at the gun in my direction. And I heard the shot go away.” The bullet let Emmen Heiser go away and drilled a hole in the water heater. According to testimony, Emmen Heiser returned fire and attacked the man in the But club. Emmen Heiser and another officer tackle the man as he tried to escape on a stolen motorcycle.

“Detective Emmen Heiser is the most incredible example of alumni who lived in our university’s motto, “service.”

“Our hearts are broken by the loss of Detective Emmen Heiser, a proud member of the York College family. “We express our deep sadness to his family, friends and colleagues and stand up to all those who grieve this deep loss.”
