A sex symbol from the early 2000s is set to join OnlyFans.

Shannon Elizabeth, who captivated generations with her role as foreign exchange student Nadia in American Pie, officially opened an account on Thursday, April 16th, joining the sex-positive platform.

Elizabeth, who recently told Entertainment Tonight that Nadia is “playing a character” because she’s “not just a girl who likes to get naked,” joined the platform to have more control over her career.

“I’ve spent my entire career in Hollywood, where other people have controlled the narrative and outcome of my career,” the 52-year-old actress said in an interview with People magazine published Wednesday. “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a sexier side that no one has ever seen and getting closer to our fans.”

The actress’ appearance on OnlyFans recontextualizes Elizabeth’s half-naked role in the raunchy 1999 teen comedy, in which Nadia is recorded via webcam without her knowledge by hapless admirer Jim (Jason Biggs), an encounter that spirals into a live spectacle.

Elizabeth told ET that even though people incorrectly assumed she looked like her character, she still appreciated the role. “Everything I’ve ever done in my life is because of ‘American Pie,'” she said.

In the early 2000s, Elizabeth’s roles often relied on her sex-symbol image, including a parody role in Scary Movie (2000) and a cameo in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), but later roles in Thirteen Ghosts (2001) and That 70’s Show helped her begin to emerge outside of the objectified box.

In the “Scary Movie” alum’s OnlyFans profile, she describes herself as an actress, storyteller, and “a little mischievous.”

“Here you’ll find a side of me that doesn’t make it into movies: more playful, spontaneous, and totally unscripted,” she wrote, adding that the page offers behind-the-scenes and candid moments, conversations, and “exclusive” photos and videos. “If you’ve ever wondered who I really am…you’ll soon find out.”

Elizabeth told People magazine that OnlyFans is “the future” of creative agencies.

“I chose OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create whatever I want, and just be free,” she told the outlet. “I really think this is the future.”
