Amazon.com AMZN.O is testing General Motors’ Gm.n Brightdrop Electric Vans as part of its plan to bring 100,000 electric delivery vehicles onto the road by the end of the decade, the e-commerce giant said Friday.

The company said dozens of vans are being tested, which have placed them in a fleet, including electric vehicles built by Ribbian Riven. GM sold the 12 2024 model Brightdrop Vans on Amazon in 2023.

Amazon spokesman Steve Kelly said the company regularly tests a variety of vehicle options. The BrightDrop test does not change your work with Libian.

Amazon is Libian’s largest investor with a 16% stake and has over 25,000 vehicles in its fleet.

The e-commerce company began rolling out its electric distribution vans in the summer of 2022, aiming to reach net zero carbon across global operations by 2040.

GM has stopped production of its Chevrolet Bright Drop Electric Van, which was launched at its Ontario assembly plant in 2021.
