Harris criticizes Trump in his first major speech since leaving office
Former Vice President Kamala Harris said in her first major speech since she left office that she has witnessed the “abandonment” of American ideals.
Donald Trump again upset the 2028 pot this week, saying that ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith “want to see” bid for the White House.
The president made a comment after calling News Nation Town Hall on April 30th. Meanwhile, participants asked countless questions about his first 100 days of appointment.
“I love watching him. He has great entertainment skills. This is very important. People are watching him,” Trump told panelists, including Smith. “I was pretty good at picking people and picking candidates. I tell you, I want to see him run.”
Trump’s emphasis on sports analyst popularity and ability to create buzz is part of the reason Smith, 57, is rushing to the spotlight.
Democrats are facing a massive flood of criticism from their bases, and are in the middle of overhauling their message to fight Trump 2.0, particularly to find ways to have better connections with young male voters who are more conservative than their female counterparts.
Smith has hit millions of followers over the years due to his candid and sometimes controversial “hot take” style debate that Trump’s allies have said is formidable in their campaigns.
However, these same qualities have sparked skepticism among other political observers who claim to choose other celebrities. Trump hosted NBC’s “Apprentice” for 14 seasons – is wrong.
“Calm down, Stephen A,” NBA basketball great Charles Barkley said in an interview on April 15th. “Stephen A is one of my friends, come on, man, stop it.”
But earlier this month, Smith said he “keeps all the doors open” after he rejected the idea of running for president earlier. The vote shows that bold sports broadcasters will come a long way to beat voters.
Data for Progress, a Washington, DC-based progressive think tank, showed that Smith had the lowest net favour among several other candidates, including former President Joe Biden, Rep. Pontizieg, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y. and Democrat California Govin Gavin News.
