For those few scary movie geeks who haven’t seen it yet, and everyone else, it’s time to get hooked on Obsession.

One of the year’s biggest box office hits, Currie Barker’s horror phenomenon is finally available to stream on Peacock. This is one of the many fresh movies coming to your favorite service. (And Inde Navarrette’s knockout scream queen performance alone is worth seeing.) Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their adult roles from the queer teen romance series Heartstoppers one last time in Netflix’s Heartstoppers Forever, while the latest installment of the fantasy series Descendants will premiere on Disney+.

“Descendants: Wicked Wonderland”

After using a time-traveling pocket watch to keep her mother, the Queen of Hearts, from turning evil, Red (Kylie Cantrall) faces a new challenge with her best friend Chloe (Maria Baker), Cinderella’s daughter. They team up with Red’s new sister Pink (Liamani Segura) and other villain and hero children to stop Wonderland’s bad dad Maddox Hatter in this peppy Disney musical.

“Exit 8”

This sci-fi thriller based on a video game is deeply infuriating and surprisingly emotional. Kazunari Ninomiya plays a young man desperately trying to get out of an endless Japanese subway station. The only way out? He tracks the anomaly through various loops of hallways, and when he fails, he is forced to start over.

“Heartstopper Forever”

The coming-of-age drama series “Heartstoppers” spanned three seasons and charted the evolving relationship between Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), and “Forever” concludes their expansive story. The young Brits are in their final year of secondary school, Charlie is starting a Pride club, Nick is worrying about an uncertain future, and both are considering the effects of a long-distance relationship.

“Long walk”

In this dystopian thriller based on the novel by Stephen King, Cooper Hoffman and David Johnson play young men living in authoritarian America who volunteer to compete in a grueling contest where there is one winner and the loser must keep a pace of three miles per hour or be executed. Timely metaphors abound, but there are also uplifting moments.

In this gory gonzo film that embraces the “Monkey’s Paw” trope and is one of the best films of the year so far, Bear (Michael Johnston) is a lovesick man who uses mysterious trinkets to make his co-worker Nicky (Inde Navarrette) fall in love with him. She shows a lot of love for him, but is also quite anxious and upset.

“Project Hail Mary”

In this surprising and exciting sci-fi adventure, Ryan Gosling plays a middle school teacher hired to uncover the reason for the sun’s darkness, which could spark a new ice age. He also reluctantly becomes an astronaut and becomes his best friend in space, the chatty alien engineer Rocky, in a last-ditch effort to save humanity.

“Redux Redux”

Michaela McManus stars in this witty sci-fi thriller (written and directed by brothers Kevin and Matthew) as a desperate mother who travels through various parallel worlds to kill all versions of the serial killer who killed her daughter, hoping to find her child alive in that world. Her quest is complicated when the intended victim (Stella Marcus) comes looking for revenge.

“His memories”

In this film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestseller, Maika Monroe plays a young woman who returns home after serving six years in prison for the death of her boyfriend in a car accident. She wants to meet her daughter, who was born in prison. Although the children’s grandparents (Lauren Graham and Bradley Whitford) are adamantly against it, she finds an ally in a local bar owner (Tilik Withers).

“They fight.”

The sports drama, based on a 2016 documentary, stars Andre Holland as an ex-convict who struggles to readjust to society and is the father of a young son. He finds home and salvation in an old youth boxing gym, where he and his former mentor (Wendell Pierce) train young fighters for national championships.

“War Driver”

In this neo-noir crime thriller, Cole (Dane DeHaan) is a thief who makes a living hacking people’s bank accounts from their cars. But he is forced into a high-stakes heist involving a money laundering woman (Sasha Calle) and a mob lawyer (Jeffrey Donovan) by a more sinister criminal, Oscar (Mamudouh Ati).
