ARLINGTON, Texas — Australia and Egypt meet Friday at AT&T Stadium in the Round of 32 of the World Cup, with each team looking for their first-ever knockout victory.

Australia coach Tony Popovich said, “Of course I believe the future is bright. We don’t have them at this stage, but there are a lot of young players who will be active in the future.” “But I’ve always said that I want to make a difference now with this group. I believe they’re still good enough to make a deal.”
The winner of Egypt vs. Australia will face Argentina or Cape Verde in the round of 16 on July 7 in Atlanta.
