Taylor Swift, you look like Stevie Nicks.
Fresh off a surprise performance at the Toy Story 5 premiere and hours before being officially inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pop star was spotted with some familiar faces at Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
On Wednesday, June 10, Swift arrived at Madison Square Garden with friends and collaborators Alana and Este Haim as the New York Knicks took on the San Antonio Spurs. The trio wore some nifty merchandise: blue and orange T-shirts with Knicks puns on them.
Swift’s shirt read “Stevie Nicks,” a nod to one of her musical inspirations. Alana’s shirt had “Nickelback” written on it in the same style, and Este’s shirt had “Nickel Kidman” embroidered on it.
They greeted a few fans as they made their way to their courtside seats, and were also seen jamming to a remix of Pitbull’s “Hotel Room Service” while sitting next to Ben Stiller with drinks in hand. Sitting next to them was Broadway’s newest star, Mariska Hargitay. She is known to Swifties as the inspiration for Swift’s cat, Olivia Benson.
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, Jackie and Adam Sandler, Spike Lee, Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock were other stars spotted at the game.
The Madison Square Garden performance marked the singer’s second high-profile NBA appearance in less than a month.
In May, Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, attended Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. Kelce, who grew up near Cleveland Heights, was rooting for his hometown team as the Cavaliers tried to fight back in the series.
During the game, Kelce appeared on the arena’s video board and chugged a beer, drawing cheers from fans while Swift applauded from her courtside seat.
Taylor Swift aims to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame after ‘Toy Story 5’ premiere
The basketball game comes less than 24 hours after Swift surprised fans at the premiere of Pixar’s Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles.
Although Swift does not voice any characters in the film, she plays a prominent role in the film’s soundtrack with her country radio single “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The singer had cast and crew members autograph original VHS copies of “Toy Story.” Tom Hanks spoke about the incident on USA TODAY.
“It means so much to me to be a small part of the world of these movies,” Swift told the audience during the screening. “And Toy Story 5 is my favorite Toy Story movie. I’m so happy to be a part of it.”
Swift is in New York City for the Songwriters Hall of Fame dinner, where she will become the youngest female songwriter ever to be inducted.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner joins a class of 2026 that includes KISS’ Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, and Walter Afanasyev.
For Swift, the win caps a career that has produced chart-topping albums across multiple genres and a catalog that includes songs such as “Love Story,” “Blank Space,” “Anti-Hero,” “The Last Great American Dynasty” and “All Too Well (10-Minute Version).” These five songs are among the songs she chose to represent her work during the Hall of Fame nomination process.
