You can also incorporate international flavors into your snacks during the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Rays will have several new potato chip flavors in stores ahead of the big event so fans can “experience the tournament through potato chips inspired by the flavors of iconic world cuisines,” the PepsiCo-owned brand said in a news release.
More than a dozen flavors are already available, including Chili Limón and Flamin’ Hot flavored potato chips. But how many more flavors does a snacking sports fan need?
Lay’s is betting on at least three more.
Starting in early May, new flavors will be available: “Argentinian Steak with Chimichurri,” “Brazilian Garlic Sauce,” and “Lay’s Wavy French Onion Soup.”
Ray’s launches new potato chip flavor for 2026 World Cup
Here are the details for the three new limited edition World Cup flavors of Lay’s potato chips that will be sold at retailers across the U.S., TikTok Shop, and Snacks.com.
- Ray’s Argentinian Steak with Chimichurri: According to Lay’s, the flavor is inspired by Argentinian cuisine, with a “rich steak flavor blend of cilantro, lemon, basil, bay, thyme, oregano, parsley, and garlic.”
- Ray’s Brazilian Garlic Sauce: “A blend of buttery garlic and creamy dairy, this flavor delivers a zesty kick of lemon for a savory finish inspired by Brazil’s love of bold, layered flavors,” the brand says.
- Lay’s Wavy French Onion Soup: According to the brand, “Featuring rich aged cheddar cheese and fine herbs, this flavor combines a creamy, savory taste with a perfect golden brown and crispy texture.”
But these aren’t the only new potato chip flavors the Rays are rolling out for the World Cup.
The snack brand has an additional 37 limited edition flavors inspired by cuisines from around the world, launched in international markets in Central America, South America, the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia, bringing the total to 40 including those for the US.
Limited edition flavors available in other countries include:
- Ray’s Canadian Maple Caramel: This sweet and buttery flavor will be available in South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
- Ray’s English Bangers and Mash: This flavor inspired by British main dishes will also be available in the UK and Spain.
- Ray’s Mexican Tacos: Smoky, spicy, and inspired by Mexican street food, these chips are available in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, and Puerto Rico.
- Lay’s Portuguese Chorizo and Onion: The flavor, which the brand says “combines the smoky flavor of chorizo with the mellow sweetness of slow-cooked onions,” will be available in Portugal, France, Spain and the UK.
