As Nvidia seeks to expand, its spending levels are raising eyebrows, the media reported. The company previously said it could invest $100 billion in OpenAI. However, Reuters reported that the pledge could be reduced to $30 billion.
Nvidia stock rose 3.65% in 2026 as many institutional investors retreated from tech stocks.

Investors can watch Nvidia’s earnings release through the company’s Investor Relations site. The call will take place on February 25th at 5pm ET. The company will first announce its financial results on its website around 4 p.m. ET after the stock market closes, followed by a webcast. The webcast can be accessed here.
How has Nvidia stock performed this year?
Nvidia became the first company to cross the $5 trillion market cap threshold in November. The stock was trading at $195.68 just before the earnings release. It was up 1.53% at around 11 a.m. ET.
What does Wall Street expect?
Wall Street expects Nvidia to report a more than 62% increase in profit for the quarter to January, Reuters reported, citing data from the London Stock Exchange Group. This figure means a slowdown from last quarter’s 65.3% growth.
