Nordstrom’s founding family takes chain private
Nordstrom’s founding family has struck a deal to take the department store chain private.
Nordstrom plans to expand its footprint in 2026, opening at least 14 new Nordstrom Rack stores in 10 U.S. states.
Opening dates have not yet been confirmed, but Nordstrom told USA TODAY via email that it plans to open in Florida, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia and Ohio next year.
