Two all-nighters will be held at Colorado State University on Thursday, September 18th and Thursday, September 18th.
The CSU Student Chapter of Political Review will hold an event entitled “For FreeSpeech. Against Political Violence” from 6:30pm to 8:30pm local time, CSU spokesman Teana Kennedy pointed out in a news release, and Turning Point USA, a nonprofit co-founded by Kirk, will hold a local noction vigilance from 5:30pm to 60pm.
CSU was scheduled to be the second stop on Turning Point USA’s “American Comeback Tour.”
Kirk, 31, was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City. The suspect, who authorities publicly identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody on September 11, more than 24 hours after Kirk’s murder.

Colorado State University in Fort Collins will serve as Kirk’s two-night stay-up venue on Thursday, September 18th.
- 5:30pm to 6:30pm (MDT): The CSU branch of Turning Point USA will hold a meeting in Kirk’s memory at Canvas Stadium.
- 6:30pm to 8:30pm (MDT): The CSU Student Chapter of Political Review will host an event entitled “For FreeSheept. For FreeSheeet. The Political Violence” at the university’s Rory Student Center Ballroom. The event is organized by the National Ground Game, a political action committee formed in response to the 2024 election.
The political review event, previously scheduled to start at 4pm, was moved to maximize attendance at both events, Patrick McCabe, co-president of the chapter, told Colorado.

USA Today will air an all-night live stream on its YouTube channel, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 18th at 5:30pm MDT.
CSU will stay up all night under Gameday Security
CSU said in a news release that both planned “external host” events on campus will operate under CSU’s Game Day security requirements. The university added that carrying firearms, whether openly hidden or not, is illegal on Colorado university campuses.
“CSU only offers safe facilities and does not organize activities within the venue,” Kennedy wrote. “As a public body, CSU is legally necessary to maintain and protect the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, including providing spaces to express diverse perspectives, even when these perspectives challenge or create strong responses with the community.”
Multiple vigils were planned for September 18th at Fort Collins, including another CSU Flower Trial Garden and City Park, according to the Colorado Tribe. However, organizers of those events called them off and urged those who were planning to attend instead to go on a Turning Point USA all night.
