Luigi Mangion’s unusual journey to New York City
Along Luigi Mangione’s journey from Pennsylvania to New York City, fans were escorted by heavily armed officers, and were waiting to cheer him on.
Shoppers in the Eagle Eyed Scene found a face that was unlikely to appear to model the discount retailer’s products: defendant Killar Izimangione.
A list of men’s collared shirts products on Shein’s website began circulating on social media posts on September 2nd. One of the product images aimed at drawing shirts with models featured a man who looked like Mangione.
Mangion is accused of shooting and murdering United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024. The Federal Jury in New York has charged the 27-year-old with several numbers, including stalkers and murders in April. He pleaded not guilty.
Mangione’s representative Agnifilo Intrater Law Firm declined to comment when contacted by USA Today.

In a statement to USA Today, Shein said the image was “provided by a third-party vendor and was removed immediately upon discovery.”
“There are strict standards on every list on the platform,” Shane said. “We are conducting thorough investigations, strengthening our monitoring process and taking appropriate action against our vendors in line with our policy.”
Retailer’s terms and conditions state that their website may contain links to third party sites that are not owned or controlled by us.
“We do not control, take responsibility, endorse or verify the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services,” the Site Terms state.
The company’s terms also acknowledge that it is intended to respect intellectual property rights, but encourages those who believe that the material on the site will contact Shein in violation of copyright.
According to the International Trademark Association, rights to promote are intellectual property rights that protect against the misappropriation of person portraits such as photographs for commercial interest.
