This year’s Skims x The North Face collaboration includes jackets, hats and, for the first time, kidswear, with prices starting at $55.
SKIMS’ $48 face wrap sparks debate over its necessity
Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line, SKIMS, launched a $48 face shaper that drew criticism from some cosmetic surgeons.
It’s cold outside, so Kim Kardashian’s Skims is teaming up with The North Face again to launch another limited-edition outerwear collection featuring children’s clothing including jackets, gloves and, for the first time, a down-filled snowsuit.
Kardashian said in a news release that this winter collection marks Skims’ second collaboration with The North Face. The first collaboration was released last winter. Prices for this year’s collection start at $55.
Skims said the collection will include colors such as bone (cream), kyanite (blue), gunmetal (gray), phoenix (brown) and onyx (black).
The clothing company said in a Dec. 4 news release that the limited-edition winter collection will take The North Face’s “innovation and expertise in ski and snowboard apparel” and combine it with the “signature fit and design approach” that Skims is known for. Kardashian added that the addition of children’s clothing means a lot to her because she is very close to her family.
“With this new collection, we wanted to push the boundaries of what winterwear can look and feel like,” said Kardashian, Skims co-founder and chief creative officer. “Every detail, from the fabric to the silhouette, is designed to blend functionality with SKIMS’ signature sleek, modern aesthetic.”
David Whetstone, director of design, global collaborations and energy at The North Face, said in a news release that each item in the collection offers a new interpretation of what performance gear can do when tailored to the wearer’s shape. The companies say each part is designed to move with the body.

Learn more about the brands behind the collaborations from 1966 to 2025
According to Finish Line, outdoor enthusiast and environmental activist Doug Tompkins founded The North Face in the 1960s. In 1966, Tompkins and his then-wife founded a retail and mail order company, and the Grateful Dead played at the store’s grand opening. The store became famous for its sleeping bags, backpacks, and tents.
The company’s name, “The North Face,” comes from “the coldest, most unforgiving side of the mountain,” and the company announced online that it helps mountaineers endure inclement weather.
The North Face is headquartered in Denver, Colorado and has more than 1,500 retail stores worldwide. The brand is also sold at specialty sporting goods stores such as Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Kardashian co-founded the SKIMS brand in 2019 with Swedish businessman Jens Grede and his wife Emma Grede. The company advertises itself as “redefining women’s underwear, loungewear, and shapewear, setting new standards by offering solutions for every body.” SKIMS also started selling men’s products in 2023. The brand is headquartered in Hollywood.
