Ronda Rousey reacts to big UFC announcement on Netflix card
Ronda Rousey says UFC’s Conor McGregor announcement for Rousey vs. Carano “shows they see MVP MMA as a threat.”
Most Valuable Promotions produced the card billed as a triple main event card featuring a headline fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano on May 16, 2026 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
While it remains unclear whether Netflix’s first official mixed martial arts broadcast will be deemed a success, each fighter on the card received at least $40,000 in entry fees.
These payments were made public on Saturday, May 16th, the day the event ended.
Rousey quickly won Carano with an armbar submission 17 seconds into the first round.
The match was one of four on a five-fight card with a winner determined in the first round. Francis Ngannou finishes off Philippe Lins with a knockout punch.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos suffered a KO after receiving a three-punch combo from Robelis Despaigne on the wrong side.
The match between Mike Perry and Nate Diaz was the only fight to go beyond the first round, but it didn’t last long and the bout was stopped seconds after the end of the second round.
