Qdoba offers free queso, full moon, and total moon eclipse chips

The full moon is here, which means Qdoba is once again offering a free signature 3-cheese Queso or Queso Diablo dip.

There will be a full moon on Tuesday, March 3rd, which means the offer will return to Qdoba. This full moon is also a total lunar eclipse.

The fast-casual restaurant chain will offer 4 ounces of its signature 3-cheese queso or queso diablo dip for free with tortilla chips every full moon in 2026, according to a news release. This offer is valid only on the purchase of Qdoba entrees and is only available to Qdoba Rewards members.

The rest of 2026 will see 12 full moons, including a blue moon in May.

When will Qdoba distribute queso and chips?

Qdoba will be handing out free queso and chips on full moon days.

In March, Qdoba will propose trades on Tuesday, March 3rd.

The offer is valid for dine-in purchases on the Qdoba app and online at Qdoba.com, according to a news release. This deal can be combined with the purchase of Qdoba entrees, including burritos and bowls.

What does Qdoba offer?

Qdoba Rewards members can receive 4 ounces of the restaurant’s signature 3-cheese Queso or Queso Diablo and 4 ounces of chips.

You must purchase an entree to receive the offer.

How do I become a Qdoba Rewards member?

You can become a Qdoba Rewards member by joining online at Qdoba.com/rewards or at any Qdoba location.

When will the full moon be in 2026?

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, a full moon becomes full the next day.

  • worm moon (Total Lunar Eclipse) – March 3rd (This is also called the “Blood Moon” because the moon has a reddish glow.)
  • pink moon – April 1st
  • flower moon – May 1st
  • blue moon – May 31 (A blue moon occurs when two full moons occur in the same month. According to Space.com, the last blue moon occurred on August 19, 2024.)
  • strawberry moon – Peak on June 29th at 7:57pm ET
  • back moon – July 29th
  • sturgeon moon (Partial Lunar Eclipse) – August 28th
  • Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon – September 26th
  • hunter’s moon – October 26th
  • beaver moon (Supermoon) – Peak November 24th 9:53am ET
  • cold moon (Supermoon) – Peak December 23rd at 8:28pm ET
