President Donald Trump’s second term is sure to leave a lasting mark on this country, with his name added to more and more places and objects.

Palm Beach International Airport in Florida was officially renamed the Donald J. Trump Presidential International Airport on July 9 under a Florida law passed in March. Republican Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill on March 30 to rename the airport after the president.

The airport’s renaming comes after Mr. DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet approved a plan to donate 2.63 acres of land in downtown Miami as the site of the Trump Presidential Library in September 2025.

Final approval for the airport’s name change was given by the Federal Aviation Administration on July 9, but updates to signage and other information may take longer and will be done in phases, according to an FAQ on the airport’s website.

Meanwhile, airport operations and services “will continue without interruption,” according to the FAQ. The airport’s International Air Transport Association (IATA) code will be updated to DJT on August 18 this summer.

President Trump has long used his name as the basis for branding his real estate empire, which includes Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump University, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino, as well as the Trump Mobile Phone, the Trump Gold Card for wealthy immigrants, and the dollar Trump Coin cryptocurrency.

Immediately after the Florida law was passed, the president moved to trademark the phrase Donald J. Trump International Airport and DJT’s identification code, a move the airport understood to be controversial, meaning Palm Beach County needed to enter into a legally required licensing agreement to use the new name.

Here’s what else has been named after Trump and could be named after him in the near future:

roads, passports, banknotes

Here is a list of buildings and centers named after Trump:

  • Donald J. Trump Presidential Boulevard: Officials in December renamed a four-mile section of Southern Boulevard near the president’s Mar-a-Lago golf club in Florida.
  • U.S. Institute of Peace: In December 2025, the State Department renamed the former Institute of Peace to reflect the greatest trader in our nation’s history. An X post from December 2025 also posted a photo of a building with the words “Donald J. Trump” written in silver letters above a building inscribed with “United States Institute of Peace.”

Other items and articles bearing Trump’s name or sign:

  • U.S. banknotes: Although not Trump’s name, Trump’s signature will be added to all future U.S. banknotes, starting with the $100 bill, the U.S. Treasury announced on March 26, marking the first time in history that a sitting president’s signature will appear on a U.S. bill. Trump’s name will replace the name of the U.S. Treasury secretary, one of two signatures currently appearing on U.S. currency. The other one belongs to the Secretary of the Treasury.
  • US Passport: A special commemorative US passport featuring a portrait of President Trump has been unveiled ahead of US 250. Approximately 40,000 commemorative passports will be available only at the Washington Passport Bureau for Americans applying for a new ID, while supplies last, according to the State Department.
  • National Park Service: Part of the design for the service’s 2026 annual “America the Beautiful” pass features a portrait of President Trump next to a portrait of George Washington.
  • Trump explains: As part of the Republican tax plan, infants born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 will receive a $1,000 contribution to a savings account that will grow with the stock market. The program was once known as “MAGA Accounts,” but was renamed to “Trump Accounts” during the legislative process. The children’s investment account is managed by parents until the child turns 18, and officially began operations on July 4.
  • TrumpRx: A prescription drug government website aimed at helping Americans buy medicines at lower prices, launched in February, and President Trump touted it as a “huge deal” that would help people “save a lot of money and get healthy.”

What else could be named after Trump?

However, the following locations are being considered:

  • In Kentucky, the state Legislature is considering a plan to rename 12 miles of Kentucky Route 18 between Florence and Rabbit Hash in Boone County in honor of the president.
  • New York Penn Station: In February, it was reported that President Trump wanted New York’s Penn Station to be renamed after him in exchange for unfreezing billions of federal dollars in funding for the New York Hudson River tunnel project. President Trump later said that his staff, not him, came up with the idea. The latest renderings of the Penn Station restoration, released in June, show signs showing Penn Station and no name change for now, but one photo shows a large concrete wall with the presidential seal next to Trump’s name.
  • In Ohio, Republican lawmakers are proposing to name a two-mile stretch of Interstate 70 in Columbus the “President Donald Trump Freedom Highway.”
  • In South Carolina, eight state representatives signed on to introduce a concurrent resolution naming the future Interstate 73 the “President Donald J. Trump Highway.” This bill was passed on March 26th.
  • Congressional Republicans are proposing to rename Washington Dulles International Airport “Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
  • Donald J. Trump Presidential Highway: On March 31, the Louisiana House of Representatives passed a bill to name a proposed new Mississippi River bridge after the president. The bridge is expected to be completed in 2033, according to Mississippi River Bridge (MRB) South, which is overseeing its construction.
  • Navy Warship Classes: In December 2025, Trump announced that the first two new “Trump-class” battleships in the “Golden Fleet” of Navy ships are under construction.

Does the Kennedy Center still have Trump’s name on it?

A federal appeals panel ruled unanimously on July 8 to remove Trump’s name from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts while he continues his removal lawsuit. As of July 8, the facade bearing Trump’s name remains covered with tarps and scaffolding.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper, who ordered the removal of President Trump’s name on May 29, set a hearing for Kennedy Center officials on July 28 to explain their plans to remain open during the $258 million renovation project and why the tarp was left outside.

Trump’s name was added to the agency in December 2025 after the president filled the board with allies during a board takeover. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said the facility’s name was changed in honor of President Trump “because of the incredible efforts President Trump has made over the last year to save the building.”
