More than 350,000 iron-containing dietary supplements have been recalled for lack of child-safe packaging, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall includes the following brands: Arey, Bari Life, Bird&Be, Biote, Dr Fuhrman, NuLife, HMR, Bariatric Pal, Noevir, Zenbean and Sakara.
Because supplements contain iron, they must be packaged in child-safe packaging according to the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. According to the recall warning, if the product is not packaged in child-safe packaging, the contents could cause serious injury or death from poisoning if a young child swallows the contents.
